Windows 7 Anytime upgrade will not use my Windows 7 Ultimate key. Says it is not valid.

I got an old laptop which is dead. I had installed upgrading to windows 7 ultimate retail on it, and it worked very well.

Bought a new laptop which has Windows 7 sp1, and when I try to do the upgrade anytime, he says that the key is not valid. It has worked before and this IS the commercial version so I should be able to install it on my new computer.
How can I get my Windows 7 anytime Upgrade?

Try the Express upgrade without being connected to the Internet.

If the problem persists.

Refresh the computer then try the Express upgrade.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

I get my exact address, all fields of the form are 100% correct and it does not tell my that my address is not valid. I'm confused, because I have never had any problems to enter my own address, nor usually have problems try to give my money to people. I'll have to waste time on this is pretty insulting. If I use at any time update in windows vista home premium upgrade to complete, I need a Windows Vista Ultimate key to activate too?. Please answer

    Yes.

You will need to BUY a Vista Ultimate Upgrade product key/license disk

Windows Anytime Upgrade Vista is no longer available; which you always had to pay anyway...

Try to buy Vista Ultimate Upgrade online: newegg, amazon, etc.

Alternatively, try your local computer store.

    This isn't for free.

  • Pavilion 15 laptop: as the Windows 10 laptop upgrade will not close or wake

    Hello

Since the upgrade to Windows 10 my 15 Pavilion has acquired two new problems:

    1. It will not wake from sleep and requires a hard reboot to get it going again.
    2. When stopped down, the lights of the power and wifi stay and a hard stop via the power button is necessary.

I tried various fixes suggested in the Microsoft forum without success.  HP Support says there is no update for my laptop.  This issue is driving me crazy and I am very disappointed that HP seem so little to help.

The details of my machine are:

    Product number: F8S59EA #ABU

    BIOS: F.67-11/26/2014

    Can someone please help?

    1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.

    2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
    3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
      • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
      • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
      • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
      • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
    4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
      • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
    5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
    6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
    7. Restart your computer.
    8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  • Reinstalled windows (Vista Home Premium upgrade), will not let me activate

I had to reformat/reinstall windows on my Vista Home premium computer, but now when I try to activate, I get an error indicating that the upgrade cannot be used for clean installation. That's fine, because I know that the activation of the phone will operate, but I can't find a phone number for the activation of the phone. When I do the slui.exe 4, he'll need just to options where it asks me to put in the code, then gives me just the error message. He will never give me the option for the offline or activation of the phone (I even tried to unplug my internet). I'm looking for a phone number to get it activated...

The best thing for you to do is repeat the installation, this time as an upgrade of the current, ensuring that you enter the key on request the installation - it should then accept and activate normally.

  • Cannot access Windows software for Information management. Windows XP Professional Windows 8 Pro upgrade will not work.

It started a month or two ago when the print spooler has stopped working. 'Systems', or had no dependencies. It turns out that none of the services had dependencies, but everything still worked (except the print spooler). Then, I could not access "system information". I tried to restore to an earlier date, that wouldn't work. Tried to do a picture of Macruim Reflect - no luck there either.  My laptop works fine, although slow. Got the printer to work. This lack of progress, I decided I would just upgrade to windows 7, then decided to Windows 8. Me am upgrading of Windows 8 Pro: he went through "preparation" 100% of the screen. On the screen "Get The Latest" I tried 'install updates now' and 'no thank you', the results were the same. On the page "Check your system", he comes back: 'something has happened. Sorry, we're having some difficulty to determine if your PC can run Windows 8. If please close Setup and try again. "He wouldn't have spent so far. The problem may lie in the fact that the upgrade can not see the information system and/or can not say that I am on Windows XP. Is there something I can do for the upgrade to continue?

    Hello

Most of the older machines running XP are not compatible with the help of Windows 8.

Follow these steps before you install Windows 8.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and check if Windows 8 drivers are available for your make and model laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 8 does not work for you.

Download and run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant of to see if your machine is compatible Windows 8:

  • Microsoft soultions for broken Anytime Upgrade do not work!

I know that the solutions that Microsoft gives for a broken Windows Anytime Upgrade, because I've tried them all. None of them work! The fix me app never successfully, install the remove SP1 or beta commands do nothing, and still I can't update my system! I run Windows 7 Starter 32-bit on Intel Atom on a HP Mini 210-1040NR. Someone help me please! It checks the key, past 10 minutes from upgrade, and then says it failed! Nothing works!

I finally found the reason. I did not check for Windows Update in so long! When I did, it downloaded and installed MS!. It works perfectly now. In fact, I'm writing this previously Windows 7 starter edition, but which is now final.

It's going to tell me why it will not download. I get a message that the updates are available for about 10 but I get this message if I select all or just such as PhotoShop. Someone knows how to fix this?

  • Anytime Upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate; I produced ultimate ID but no touch

To this stupid problem any help would be appreciated! I bought a HP m7750n there are many moons that came with Vista Home Premium, but I needed some features on Ultimate, so I got a "anytime upgrade" disk with the PC... and there are many moons, I apparently used it and it worked to perfection. I use Vista Ultimate for several years now on this machine... Until I had a major problem with my machine flashing me the BSOD too often, decided to use the recovery disks that I created when I got to the machine and I now have Vista Home Premium to the top and running - well.

Except that part of what I was counting on aid to recover from my wave of BSOD issues was the "complete image backup" or whatever it is called Ultimate lets you create, but not other types of Vista. So I need to find a way to Home Premium to load this image PC on my machine, and/or I would like to upgrade to Home Premium provided with the ultimate machine, as I did a few years back. I keep certain documents, such as the 25 character key for Home Premium license and the figure 20 Vista Ultimate 'Product ID' but I don't know what to do with it.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read my book in any case!

  • Can I turn off a full Windows 7 (Ultimate) key so I can use it on my new PC?

    Hello

I sought an answer to my question, but I can't quite find yet. I'm going to buy Windows 7 Ultimate Edition full retail to upgrade my Vista Home Premium PC current. But I was wondering if I could disable the key on my current PC, when I buy a new PC running next year so that I can use it on this one. I would only use it on 1 PC at a time, but I don't know if a retail license allows for it.

Must answer this question elsewhere already, please refer me to it and did not hesitate to remove this post and I thank you in advance for your answer!

P.S. English is my third language (I am from the Belgium) and it's not so much legalese, please try to explain it to me gently.

There is no deactivation, but you can install it on your new PC when you get it, as LONG as you format the hard drive on the old PC (and reinstall Vista Home Premium).  It is the joy of retail vs OEM.  With OEM, it is "related" to the first PC, you install and activate in the.
