Windows 7 white screen

New computer HP 500-123w bought with Windows 8.

I installed Windows 7 on the shop, he checked online and arrested and taken home.

Set up at home, he lit.

The computer is started.

I connected with the password.

Office of context and the mouse pointer. Nothing else, no icons, no start menu, no task bar. Anything other than a mouse pointer.

Mouse buttons did nothing.

CTL-alt-del grew up on the task bar. Mouse buttons started working.

'Explorer' listed. With the help of 4200K of memory.

Removed from the Explorer,

Explorer added manually, all the desktop icons, menu start and taskbar appeared.

Explorer uses now 12 740 K memory.

Everything worked well.

Shut down, restarted, problem reappeared. White screen with the pointer.

Same solution, in the exact order. Has worked fine again, once again only for this session.

Stop, reboot, same.

How can I get this thing to boot and run like it's supposed to?

I can't connect to the internet, such as Windows 7 does not recognize my modem and drivers are not available.

(Where the store install and check).

I am now online with a Linux system.

Could it be related to the graphics card? Windows 7 drivers are not available for the factory edge video, I ordered an expansion card.

Thank you.

Well, this is getting really frustrating.

Despite my asking about the video, I really don't think that it is a hardware problem. The fact that it works well after that I reload explore, and that first load uses 1/3 the memory of manual loading, the problem seems to be a failure to properly load Explorer at startup.

At least I have boot mode safe, where everything works.

I do not think that the fact that this computer was designed as a whole for Windows 8 might be related, everything works well under Windows 7, once I reboot Explorer. Even video. The only reason I did research the drivers was the performance index gave me a chart and a score of 1.0 game.

Other than that, the video seems to work well.

From what I found online, other people have this same problem with Windows 7 (Windows 8), an empty office. Even when Windows 7 is installed at the factory.

So, how to fix this?

If I reinstall Windows 7, I'll have to re - authenticate online? Because I literally can't. My reason for buying this machine should be able to store and manipulate images and video on a secure computer that could never be hacked by virtue of never being online.

I'm sorry but I can't help you more that Windows 7 is not supported on this model HP computer.

I suggest you to contact HP to get advice on what to do what they have built this machine.

And Yes, a reinstallation may require reactivation.

"I can't connect to the internet, such as Windows 7 does not recognize my modem and drivers are not available."

And as you say, you can't do it online because there is no driver network adapter available for this model of HP number.

Another question you need to ask questions about HP.

Good luck.

  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode

The title pretty much everything said.

The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.

The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.

  • Windows power white screen display features

    Hello

My laptop runs Windows Vista Home Premium x 32. When I open the control panel/program/turn windows features on or off, he returned as a blank screen. Even if I'm still able to do the update of the window, but not all updates in the installed updates list up-to-date but they show in the history of the update as successful.

I think my problem is because I tried to install the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista (KB947821) separately (not via the update of the window), but the installation has frozen 80% so I cancel the process. Netherless, the beginning of the configuration in step 2 of 3 100% at the farm. When I turn on the laptop (there no step 3 of 3), again, the update history shows that KB947821 installed successfully, but it's strange because I cancelled the process.

Now, every time I do the sfc scan, there is a list of errors in the reports of problem & solution indicating that: WindowsWcpOtherFailure3 and
WindowsWcpStoreCorruption error. Any idea what goes wrong with the system?

    Hi Negis,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you to consult the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and check.

You receive the error code "0 x 80073712" or the "Windows features" dialog box is empty when you try to install the updates or components in Windows 7 or Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/931712

Method 2: If the method above does not help then you may need to perform an upgrade on the spot.

Warning: Before you perform an upgrade in-place, you must be prepared for the worst scenarios that led to your existing data on your computer being deleted. These data include data personal, settings, information about the hardware and software drivers. In case of a worst case scenario, you may have to reinstall all the programs. Make sure that you back up personal data to disks or other external storage devices before performing an upgrade on the spot.

I've updated to windows 10 and after a few hours, the main screen of my laptop went blank but my second monitor that I use with a HDMI cable still works.

From my understanding the cables of the screen white screens LCD is still, this problem started after the update of Windows 10 so I'm reluctant to think it's that. My laptop is still under warranty but do not want to send in if he didn't need that I need for work.

I found some information online saying that a restore Image will not work, but I have an and you can try it if need be.

Other information found online says that my computer basically "forgot" that I have a main display to get out information in and make the screen and that's why my second screen works perfectly and me might be able to solve this problem with the start of the saving mode and try to fix it from there again I've never done this and don't want to cause more problems doing things like that.

What could be the best way to go forward with this problem is to say. :

    * Is there a way to check the LCD cables without disassembling the computer. (Don't want to do that, and don't think it's the fault)

    * System Restore will help

    * Where / who should I contact for help in this regard

Thanks for any help provided and please tell me if you need any other info to help. I really want to to fix the problem rather than take it to a guy or HP

It's a bad screen. The upgrade of Windows 10 timing is a coincidence. You can continue to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor forever.

    Hi Mr sang,

Systems on your network are joined to a domain?
If so, they use Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to get their updates?

If you use WSUS, you should post your question in the forums found here WSUS:
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/winserverwsus/threads

If you do not use WSUS, but your systems are on a domain, you should post your question in the forums Vista IT found here:
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/category/windowsvistaitpro

If the above do not apply, you find the same update white screen when you run updates under a new profile?
Also, if you connect to a user in safe mode account, you get the same results?

  • HP 8440p: white screen after restart / no problems after a full stop - Windows Pro 10

When the machine is off then powered on everything works fine. If the computer is restarted or expires and goes into sleep mode, you can see Windows back upwards as the HARD drive light flashes and the normal startup sounds come from the speakers. But the screen is only backlit and white.

The only way to recover is to force power off of the machine and the power up normally. As a work around, I found that if I turn off the graphics driver (Intel HD Graphics) the machine normally responds but you lose the mode "standby" option.

The processor is an i7 620M (1st generation) I am running Windows 10 Pro. The product ID is - SJ341UP #ABA

All the elements in the Device Manager are normal except for the graphics card showing a normal stop condition.

I found that changing the refresh rate of 60 Hz to 40 Hz corrects the white screen issue. Have no idea of what has to do with what anyone, but at least we do not get the white screen on restart now. I do not consider this is a fix, but more than a workaround solution.

Right-click on the Intel icon in the system tray, and then click graphics properties took me to the Panel where I made this change.
