Windows is not start/no can not log

Hello

Today, when I played a video game from my computer froze. I couldn't do the ctrl alt del so I restarted the pc. After this restart, everything was normal, as the computer began. But as windows began = the screen with the loading bar was a little different with horizontal lines. When he was about to load the screen choose the login account, I see nothing just a screen with many horizontal lines. I restarted again, and I could connect to safe mode.

The question is: How can I "fix" it?

PS: Sorry for the bad English and please help...

You can try reinstalling the video drivers, but it sounds like material to me. If you have a desktop computer, replace the video card is no big thing. If it is a laptop, you will need to call technical support of the portable mftr.. So certainly first try the drivers (see below for where to get them). I want to emphasize that you should not take what I wrote as a definitive diagnosis. I can't see or test your computer from here. I give you my opinion on your computer based on my experience as a computer tech and what you have written.

Never get the drivers from Windows Update. Bring:

1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

  • Windows connection problems and "Windows could not log in the Windows Event Service.

September 14, 2014, I installed the hotfix for Windows (KB2590550).

When I try to log on to a standard user account (not Admin), I would get an error that might say something like "Windows could not connect to the Windows Service Service event".  I click OK and then get a totally blank screen showing on the arrow of the mouse (which can be moved).

Around this same time, when I was able to connect, I got a "not genuine Windows" pop up.  My windows 7 came factory-installed by Dell (Dec. 2011) and I got no re-imaging, re - install or repair since I got the computer.  I've also been running Symantec Endpoint Protection (version DoD) for 2011 as well.

When I login as administrator (different account), I get an error "Failed to connect to the Windows Event Service" or something like it in a control bar bubble popup.

I studied the Knowledge Base, and he said to apply the patch to KB2590550.

Since then, the question is still common and works (sometimes) when I reset the password for the standard user.  In addition, all updates of the operating system, patches, etc. have failed since then.

Now, I get occasional blue screens immediately as windows starts to load (just after the initial windows graphics) which triggers a reboot.

    Service Pack 1 is installed.

    Help, please!

    Hello

Thank you for the update on the issue.

If the problem still persists I suggest to run the SFC scan to check the integrity of the system and see what it finds.

The sfc/scannow (System File Checker) command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

We can check & repair missing and corrupt files by the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

    1. Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
    2. Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
    3. In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

  • I put a password on my computer windows 7. Now I can't log on to my computer account.

Neither my original password (before you set an administrator password) or my work administrator recently-set password to log on my computer. When I set the admin password, it does not ask for me to retype my password, so I have typed it wrong but now have no idea what it is. I didn't know the administrator password would affect the past of windows logon, but my initial password no longer works. In addition, the indication of password to log on now is the same password on that indication I put the administrator password but this newspaper will not work. Please help me understand what I can do to connect to windows. Thank you.

The only safe option is to perform a factory restore. If you do not, then you are likely to be confronted with a machine that is seriously infected or was hacked. Have a look here for instructions:

I recently bought this laptop from a friend and she has never had this problem and ive trawled through microsofts suggestions, which most need of the start bar, which I did not immediately because of the blackscreen, and start on the keyboard key is not appear. I'm not sure what to do now that I know it's a genuine copy of windows vista. I do not have the installation at hand disc, and I think that my friend had already installed when she got the computer vista laptop.

Currently, your copy of windows vista is not activated. If you have the product key with you, you can activate your copy of windows.

You can find your product key on your computer or inside the Windows package installer disk-based.

Type SLUI in the search box and press ENTER key

You can activate online or by phone. You need an Internet connection to activate online. Activation by phone requires interacting with an automated phone system.

    Hello

Do you have any other operating system installed on the computer?

The CD/DVD that you use to install Windows XP may be damaged and this is a possible reason why you cannot complete the installation of Windows XP.

You can check with another CD/DVD to install Windows XP. In the meantime, you can also check out this link that talks about the installation of Windows XP.

"Windows did not start due to a problem in the disk of the computer configuration."

I have re-installed windows XP on my laptop using my USB because the laptop doesn't have a CD player. I used "WinToFlash" which allowed me to convert my installation CD to run on my USB. But no matter what I do I can't fix it. I am very good with computers but I have never encountered this problem. I can not re - install using my USB again because I get the error, and I can't boot the PC because I get the error. When I press a key it just restarts... Any help? Please?

If you can boot into the BIOS screen, check if the USB is given as a choice of boot.  Do as the first in the boot order.

Also this BIOS is set by default and if not go back to the default settings (see the owner's manual I don't know what computer you have)

  • I can't get out of safe mode when starting, and can not run the Setup program from windows XP in safe mode.

I have a XP box that would only start in safe mode.  I needed to repair windows, so I started updating reinstall option but to reboot it says it cannot run in safe mode then it tries to boot into normal mode but crashes - which is what I am tring to solve.  Now I'm stuck because the computer is now making a loop and I'm stuck.  There is no available recovery console, it shows just the installation restart then goes into the shot.  If I try to launch safe mode, that it says cannot run update in safe mode then restarts in normal mode, which hangs then.  I'm stuck.  Boy the days where I wish I could just make the prompt C:\.  Thank you.

You can connect your problematic hard drive to another PC to copy your important data, using a device such as:

    or

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16812119244

I'm still not 100% convinced that you boot from the CD. Your Dell has the option of F12 to select a boot real-time device (as soon as you turn on the PC)? Also, remember that you have to "press any key to boot from the CD" when you see this screen! Of course, during a reboot, you start from the hard drive.

Even if you did everything by the book, a repair installation could easily 'loop' as you describe. But as long as your hardware is healthy, a clean install is done.

Toshiba Satellite A85 Celeron with XP Home edition. Windows does not start. I have Toshiba logo screen, then it turns into a black screen with the upper left corner of the cursor. I have the recovery disk. Is it possible to record HD without re-formatting and losing all data?

    Thank you;

    Lobo77

If you run the Toshiba recovery application, you will lose all your data.  As indicated in the warning, this application will restore the computer back to wherever it was when it was first delivered by the factory.

Without other complementary diagnostic information, it is difficult to determine what is happening.  Pressing the key (do not hold) of F8 beginning immediately after that the sequence of power should bring you to the Advanced Boot Options menu.  Try again then press repeatedly the key rather than pressing on and now.

The recovery CD Toshiba, you have probably does not allow a "repair installation".  Contact Toshiba to see if they will provide you with a suitable CD.

Given the fact that you can get a useful place when you start with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, my guess is that the computer is OK but that the hard drive has failed - or maybe more likely - the startup information is damaged so that it does not start.  If you have access to a computer equipped with a burner, download and create a bootable Windows CD.

There are a number of available bootable CD which include various recovery and diagnostic tools.  You'll have to do some research to find out how to use the tools.

    Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows
    Ultimate Boot CD
    Hiren BootCD

If you feel overwhelmed by the tools and I just want back the data, and then use the Toshiba Recovery DVD, make you a Knoppix CD and use this key to your data, preferably on a network connection.

If all this sounds like too much for you - and there is no shame in admitting that--take the laptop for a good local computer repair shop (not a type BigBoxStoreUSA or rather GeekSquad) and ask them to check it out and make sure to recover your data before anything else.

  • Windows xp starts, but can not access to all programs

I have 4 users with admin capabilities on my Winows XP system. I am the main user/administrator. Windows XP will start and open, but on my side of the score of 'user', some Windows applications don't open with icons appearing on the taskbar of lower start-up. By clicking on any of my desktop icons "shortcut" to open the box with "Choose the program you want to use to open this program" no response, when you select the applicable program. Open the control panel and clicking on an icon brings up the tab: "C:\Windows\System32\rundll.exe application not found. When I open one of the other 3 users, I have windows total access to applications. Why this problem only happening with my score "user"?

You will appreciate all the advice. I have Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. Thank you very much.

You can spend a lot of time trying to find and fix the problem, but since it only affects a single user, then that narrows it down to a problem of user profile.  The fastest way to recover is simply to create a new user and copy your old stuff to the new user profile.  Just follow the instructions below, claiming that your current connection is damaged...

  • Windows XP does not start. Can I boot Windows from a disk so that I can recover the data?

Windows XP does not start. Can I boot Windows from a disk so that I can recover the data? This should be a CD because it doesn't have a floppy disk on my laptop drive. It is maybe that my hard drive has begun to fail and therefore cannot locate XP startup files. I can not start using one of the other methods of starting for example. Safe mode. If I can recover the data, I can then reload Windows and check the surface of the disc etc etc. Thank you all for your comments. Steve

Lately, I'm leaning toward the Hiren's BootCD you can download here:

    http://www.hirensbootcd.NET/

On the left, click on download, scroll down, choose the most recent version

The download link is a little hard to see.  It is at the bottom of the page, above the drop for older versions and looks like this (click this component to download the ZIP file):

Direct HTTP mirror + Torrent, Torrent Magnet

Click the "Live HTTP Mirror" link to start the download and save the ZIP file on your desktop of somewhere that you can remember.

The ZIP file is large, so the download will take probably some time to complete.  Then unzip the download to extract theHirens.BootCD.ISO file that will be used to create your new bootable CD.

Create a bootable CD. ISO file is not the same as simply copying the. File ISO onto a blank CD.  You must use software that includes how to burn a. ISO to a CD to create a bootable CD.

File ZIP the Hiren is the file BurnToCD.cmd that you can double-click to launch it.  The BurnToCD.cmd will use the file BurnCDCC.exe to burn the. ISO file onto a blank CD using your existing CD burner.  You can also use your own burning software as long as your software is able to create a bootable CD. ISO file.  More modern burning programs can create a bootable CD. ISO image.  Create a CD from an ISO image bootable is not the same as just the file on a CD burning.

If you need a simple and CD burning, this is a free software popular software:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your new bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.
These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When starting on the Hiren's CD, you will see a menu of options.  Choose Mini XP.

It will appear while Windows is loading and you will be presented with a desktop computer that has the look and feel of the interface of Windows Explorer, you are already accustomed to using.  You will feel at home.

Using the Mini XP, you can access the Internet, maneuver around your system, copy files, replace the files, run the scans for malware, etc.  There are dozens of free and useful tools included in the CD that can be used to repair your system, or copy files to another device such as a USB device or an external drive if drop in trying to repair your system.

If you want to see if you can fix your system, describe what is happening when you try to start and to answer these questions:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
