Windows Live Writer stops responding when you work in Wordpress
In the last days, I got a problem of Windows Live Writer gel when you forward a message to Wordpress. I renewed the account settings, but that didn't help. My next step would be to uninstall/reinstall. Any other suggestions? Other than upgrading to Win7 and get the new version?

Windows Explorer stops responding when you open system properties

Just to confirm you tried to uninstall the old driver AMD before installing the new driver AMD?

Recently my InDesign (CS6 running on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, 8 GB ram) has become almost completely insensitive when I go to open and edit a file off the corporate network. Our technicians have no idea of what is happening and are considering having to re - build my profile as a last resort, as we tried everything.
A little more of a buton to the problem: when I go to edit a file, InDesign turned off the server it first takes longer than usual to load but finally made. You can scroll through and down the pages, move and resize boxes, place new photos but as soon as you try to do anything based text (edit new text or create a new text box) the program crashes until you have to Task Manager on and kill. It is not a file corupt because if I copy the directory of the file with all the links on my computer hard drive the file works quite well, it's only when editing on the network and when edouble clicking to edit a text.
What we have done to try to resolve the problem:
- Reinstal InDesign - no effect
- Deleted preferences (shift + ctrl + alt + windows key on InDesign startup) - no effect
Our technicians tried to edit my profile nothing helps registry, and we are all completely at a loss of what is happening. There are several other instances of the program within the company (especially versions 5.5 and one other 6) and they work all files fine edition directly to the output of the network.
Someone has an idea of what it could be, such a specific problem being only when you're editing text base areas? Technicians do not want to have to re - build my profile because there is a lot of back-end to do to be able to restore immediately.

So have finally solved us the problem and are currently cracking on the Champagne!
It turned out to be the network path shortcut I used to access the shared drive where I just change the files to. I work for a restaurant so we have a shared drive where each site can access their files, it's where the food menu files and I had created a shortcut, although accessible the zone made him using a path that had a double backslash in it.
The true path for the shared drive is \\hm\mydocs\restaurant\menufile.indd and it is the shortcut I used to open the file of. For all other files such as Word, Excel, even other programs like PSE10 and Lightroom Adobe it seems to work correctly. For some reason any InDesign dislikes this path with the double backslash in. As soon as I changed the path of the shortcut to just m:\ (the letter of the drive shared on the network), everything worked again and we can all sleep, he drove us mental. Reinstalled windows, InDesign creates a new network user profile works.

Try to import another file type (format) and check if the problem persists.
Step 1:
Damaged codec is often a cause of crashes with Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker.
If possible, use a program to convert your Windows Media movies first and then try to import it.
Step 2:

Windows Explorer stops responding when you access file downloads
I'm having a problem with the Windows Explorer does not when I try to access the downloads folder. The problem seems related to a file, a Java .exe file I downloaded. Explorer hangs up as soon as I try to do something with this file, I can't even remove it. I got out the folder other files in desktop and using research and move the file, but when I try to do something with this file, Explorer crashes again.
No video file in the folder, the file problem seemed to be a Java update file. I managed to remove using an third-party uninstall program, and the problem seems to have disappeared. My best guess is that the update program has been altered during the download.

I tried to reinstall the program. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried to restart the reinstallation. It's under my account on the computer, it works fine in my regular user account. I didn't install or use Thunderbird in my normal user account until after the restoration of Windows 7.

Computer stops responding when you navigate on the web
Recently, when I was browsing the web, my computer began to crash for long periods of time. The strange thing is that it only happens when I use Chrome 17 or 12 of Firefox. When I use Internet Explorer 9 I have no problem. The 'freeze' happens randomly on any web page, when I click to scroll down or click on a web link. The browser becomes unresponsive, followed by the bar spots and the office. I just have to wait for five minutes. I don't like to use Internet Explorer; I find much slower in performance compared to Chrome.
I use a Mobile Broadband, manufactured by ZTE, Vodafone Dongle to connect to the internet. I run the operating system of Windows Vista 64-bit Service Pack 2.
Unless Microsoft has started making chrome and Firefox work does not correctly if you use IE, I'd appreciate any help.

Write XMP IDS when you work in an existing project?
I made a mistake.
My Assistant worked a month to import and organize a huge project (about 30 clips k) media.
I copied the media to another machine and I get media in double when sharing of sequences.
After some research, I realized that I had to turn on ID of XMP Prefs/media/writing before an import media.
There is no way to write XMP IDS in the media and the reconnection, do not lose the work already done? Then, copy the media once again and solve the problem?
There is no rename any sequence in the first, organized just by using sequences.
I solved the problem myself.
-Check the preference to write XMP IDS
-Create a new project
-Import all the media previously organized (first will create the XMP ID) - in my case, I imported the sequences, it's how they are organized
-Copy again all media on other computers and use this as the basis

You've optimized your catalog? Use the file... Catalog to open the Catalog Manager. Select your catalog below and hit the 'repair' button (choose 'Repair anyway' If you get this prompt). Then do the same with the button 'optimize '.
