Windows/Windows XP PRO Security Center

I need help. Windows security is not let me run any of my browsers except IE and do not let me run cleaning tools or to download anything whatsoever. My computer has Mcafee on this also, which does not run either (don't know why). Security of WIN says that I have to BUY to cut it (win security) on. Windows Firewall came up saying that a file has sunk to the remote user on the internet. I blocked several times whenever she appeared so I said lets just to see if I can run anything again last. No. > Windows security is not free? And how can I solve my problem? Very aggravated.

Your system is infected with a rogue security program. It's called "thugs" because he pretended to be a good guy but is really bad. Don't pay them!

Search for removal here Bleeping Computer how removal steps - of - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum55.html
or here - Malwarebytes malware removal Guide - http://tinyurl.com/5xrpft

Malwarebytes' Anti-malware (MBAM) or SuperAntiSpyware will often do the job. Both have free versions and you don't need to buy these programs.

These can work for you, and all can be good. However, in many cases the computer will also infected with other horses of Trojan and protected by a rootkit. These machines are extremely difficult to clean. If your machine is one of these cases, either the interactive assistance to one of the specialty forums listed in the link below, OR take your machine to a professional on the local computer OR backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. It's your choice. I do not recommend using BigComputerStore/GeekSquad types of places.

Windows 7 Pro Action Center shows current backup permanently, even if it's not, I don't have a backup set and Backup and Restore cannot find a backup.

Why can't Microsoft find a solution to this problem with the network or the corrupted/missing files? My system works fine even with this problem of current backup. So, I learned to forget. But it would be nice if Microsoft would solve this problem.

    Hi flintnodule,

Microsoft can and will fix the issue for you, but because it involves dircet contact with the troubled pc the only way to do it is through remote assistance. that is to call you Microsoft and allowing the tech Advisor take control of your pc directly. THS can lead however still other problems that not all advisers have the same stanard in cognition, (I'm talking about previous experiances). That's why I stated measures for any user to repiar this problem themselves in over the answer, but for some reason not to many are eager to make they perfer to ignore the help and just complian. the way I used overkill stages of difficulty was the following. 1. removal of devices connected, 2. back up the system and all the files, 3. Defragment os. 4, everthing unistall, which is the third part. 5, prepare an external hard drive for windows by labelling and re-formatting upward (note do not quick format). 6, clean, install windows 7 but use the options to format your drive first. 7, do not install anything just to configure windows 7 to your configuration (test performance and reliability monitor if all ok). 8, perform an upgrade and after what game action center full tuning IE levels all the recommended and send information to all users. and set performance and reliability thanks to (allow) windows firewall. 9, Center of action for perform a full upward and the image of the value system and set it to your external hard drive. 10, test of reliability and performance monitor, once everything is ok and the Action Center indicates that it is active and there is no problem, you are ready to reinstall all of your software for your backup you make early.

  • Unable to turn on the services of windows (marked red) Security Center

solve pc problems red marked while on the page of the lottery!

    Hi Davedangerous,

    ·         What version of Windows are you using?

    ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         What exactly happens when you try to activate the services of windows Security Center?

    ·         You receive an error message?

    ·         Do you have any other security software installed on the computer now?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you to check if the Security Center service is set to automatic and started and change accordingly. To do this follow the steps below:

    a. click Start.

    b. in the Start search box, type services.msc and press enter.

    (c) in the services window, do scroll down to Security Center.

    d. right-click on it and click Properties.

    e. check if the Startup type is set to Automatic, otherwise set it to automatic.

    f. click on the Start button, this will start the Security Center service.

    g. click apply and Ok.

Check if you can enable the Security Center.

Method 2: If the problem persists, you have other security software installed on the computer, also try to temporarily disable third-party security software and try to check if you can enable the Security Center. If you are able to start, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and check if you need to change the settings. Later, re-enable the security software.

Note: Make sure that you activate the software antivirus and other security programs.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hope this information helps.

I try to do a repair of the system with one or the other repair disk or installation disk.  If you don't have either, you can do a repair disc by clicking on start-> Control Panel-> backup and restore by clicking on create a system repair disc.  If this does not work, you may need to restore your computer to factory settings.  I would back up all the important files now while you still can because you don't really know how damaged your computer is.

    Good luck.

    -Dave

Well, if your system is slow is not because of the Security Center! It might be because of spyware or malware so, first make sure that your system is clean:

    Do using the analysis:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/ recommended

    http://www.SurfRight.nl/en/downloads/ recommended

    http://www.systweak.com/AntiSpyware/

I recommend avira or avast as antivirus (personally, I think that mcafee and norton slows down your system)

    After that:

go to msconfig (type in the search box in the start menu, and then press enter) then prepare your computer to clean boot by disabling all startup items and any of the services of windows, and then restart your computer. See if it makes a difference? If she did then you should know which ones caused to slow down your pc.

at least reduce your startup programs hollow msconfig (type in there search box in Start menu, and then press enter)

try to check your drive for errors and also run the SFC (sfc) system through cmd (run cmd as administrator, and then type sfc/scannow)

    Hello Sean,.

    Thank you for your response.

    I appreciate your time.

Have you tried to download files to scan on another Microsoft computer security as stated in the previous post?

As you mentioned that Windows Security Center is not present in the services, I suggest you run the System File Checker to correct missing or damaged Windows file.
    Refer to this article:

  • I get a message that my Windows Security Center is not on, but when I go to the center of the Action it won't let me turn it on

I get a message that my Windows Security Center is not on, but when I go to the center of the Action it won't let me turn it on.  What should I do?

    Hello

    · You have a third-party security software installed on the computer?

    · What is the error message that you receive the error code when you try to turn it on?

    · Do you remember all the recent changes on the computer before the show?

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    Follow the methods below:

    Method 1:

Make sure that the Security Center service is configured properly, and then start the Security Center service. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. click on start, click on run

    (b) in the Open box, type services.msc

    c. on the right side of the window, locate the Security Center service in the list of services.

    d. right click on Security Center, and then select Properties.

    e. in the drop-down list startup type, select Automatic (delayed start).

    f. under service status, click Start.

    g. click on apply, click OK, and then close the Services window.

    Method 2:

Run the verification and virus scan online if any malware or virus detected on the computer activity. You can run the scan for viruses online from the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

  • XP SP3 Security Center will not suddenly Norton Internet Security recognize?

Windows XP SP3 Security Center won't recognize all of a sudden of Norton Internet Security. It has been fine for years. I don't have a virus.

    How to fix problem?

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum. I understand that XP SP3 Security Center will not recognize Norton Internet Security. I would like to help solve you the problem.

This problem may occur if there is an inconsistency in the system files or folders associated with XP Security Center. Follow these methods:

    Method 1.

Disable the firewall and check if that helps.

How can I turn on or turn off the firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later versions? : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673

Note: you should not disable Windows Firewall, unless you have another firewall is activated. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    Method 2.

    Rename the storage folder.

1 - Go to control panel, and then open administrative tools.

    2 - click on Services.

3-go down to Windows Management Instrumentation and stop this service.

    4. stop the Security Center service.

    5-exit and close all windows.

    6. right click on start and select explore.

    7. go down to C:\windows or Winnt\system32\wbem\repository.

8 remove only the storage folder

9-go Back To Services and restart the WMI and the Security Center service.

    10. close all windows and restart the computer.
