Windows xp Setup restarts after reboot

I tried to upgrade from windows 98 to windows xp the operating system itself using a Windows xp sp2 installation disc. Everything worked great until I have restarted my cpu installation. He ask me to boot from the cd, I don't press anything and now all I see is a black screen with the following text "press any key to boot from the CD-ROM...".

I tried to re - start the cpu and changing the bios so it starts the operating system first, but nothing, not even an error message. After I boot from the CD and then press r to start the repair mode and use the command chkdsk and chkdsk /r command but everything seems fine.

Help, please

Thank you

All I can say is try to reinstall XP again.

OR

Connect the hard drive to another computer and install XP and re - connect the HD to the main computer.

    Hello world

I hope you can help me with my problem. I have an old nokia pc suite version family installed in my laptop (about 6 years old - basic Windows Vista Edition operating system), but today I decided to upgrade to the latest (suite version 7). I was able to install it successfully. When I launched the app, it worked fine, but when I plugged my phone (Nokia X 2) via a USB cable which has been when I started having problems. When I inserted the usb cable provided with the phone to my laptop, a prompt appears that my machine was installed the drivers for my device. After about 5 minutes, the installation is complete and it prompted me to restart my computer and so I did. Before it turns off, the machine said he finished the updates first and then he did. When he returned, Windows doesn't have to load and restart my computer.  The full error message: "cannot start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem:
    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. choose the language settings and then click on "next".
    3. click on "Repair your computer."

    Hello

I suggest to try to start the computer in safe mode and check if you can start:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Since you've already tried to repair the boot and system, restore and if you are not able to start the computer in safe mode, then try to contact the manufacturer for help.

    It will be useful.

  • Windows XP keeps restarting after blue screen

I tried to reboot in safe mode, normal and the latest, but nothing works.  The blue screen appears for a second then restart my desktop computer.  The technical message I get is "stop: 0000007E (0X8A713510, 0XBA50B7EC, 0XBA50B4E8).  I checked the previous similar responses to this problem, but I've not seen one adapted to these numbers.  Can anyone help?

    My fault, it's stop: 0000007E (0xc0000005, 0X8A713510, 0XBA50B7EC, 0XBA50B4E8)

First, it is important that you find a way to copy all your data before doing anything else.

Unfortunately, a number of things can cause what you are experiencing! If you are not that technically savvy, you may need to find a PC tech.

Hardware problems can certainly cause BSOD. Here again, your happened recently, if you can perform what is commonly called a manual system restore:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307545

    You might luck with that.

If it doesn't work, you can try a repair installation:

    http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

And then, if you have a hardware problem, no amount of repairs or relocation you won't help. You will need to troubleshoot hardware, which may be too advanced for you.

    Hey RetREMF

We cannot say what update is the cause of the problem

one thing that you should never get 3rd party drivers from windows update hardware

Find them directly in the hardware manufacturer's Web site

I suggest that change you how to receive updates to try to find the exact problem, we by installing one at a time

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial140.html

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need or who have limited access to Internet

  • DB-autostart after reboot

    DB version: 11.2

For a DB application, I want to configure Auto-start after reboot of the operating system. I was under the impression that this evolution "n" 'Y' in the/etc/oratab file will do the trick. But after some googling, I found that more needs to fact.

What is the professional way to configure Auto-restarting after reboot for a stand-alone database. I found the following url that describes the start automatic 8i. Is still the way to do it?

    http://www.Bolthole.com/Solaris/Oracle.html

In the mentioned link, he always calls Oracle scripts

    Su - oracle - c $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbstart
    Su - oracle - c "start ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl $".

In 11 GR 2 it in the bin folder, you can see lsnrctl but not dbstart. You can check below link depending on your version

  • Windows 7 hangs after reboot (after "Sensor HP Mobile Data Protection" updated)

My Windows 7 Home Premium hangs (blue screen) to the 'Starting Windows' screen after reboot. And the reason for the rebate to zero (and crash) is updated to Windows "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" . I did hidden, but now I need to install drivers for my webcam and every time that I turn on "automatic driver installation" update of windows server, it installs not only the WebCam drivers, but also this «HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor» update Which brings me to the crash at the next restart of Windows. The only way is to return to the system restore point.

I use a laptop "HP Compaq 6715 b" . I had Vista prior to this (it was preinstalled with HP all the "stuff"), but after upgrade (reinstallation) of windows 7, upgrading from windows found all the drivers (and graphics and sound and even the biometric device drivers), but is now something wrong after every update "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" . Why? Or at least I can make him 'banned '?

P.S. I had and have the 32-bit version of Windows.

    ny6uctblu,
Have you checked with HP on any problems with this software?  Here is a link for download of HP for the software.  You should also check that your BIOS is up to date.  I found some info on a wire of HP on the Data Protection sensor Mobile works is not propely.  This thread can also give you some other ideas.
