Satellite P100-240: Media Center Edition - error 3
I recently installed the Toshiba TV DVB, set up all channels and guides, then recorded a number of television programs.
Unfortunately, when I have pulled up my Satellite P100-240 this morning to check the last recordings of nights, the Media Center told me that I had deleted all of my recordings.I tried to get the library going again without success.
All I get is a window telling me that there may be essential audio and video files missing and he said that I should quote "error 3" when looking for support. ".
I tried reinstalling the drivers, etc., but it just goes back to "error 3' anyone able to help?"It is a very strange question. To be honest I really don t know what happened with you Windows Media Center software.
It s a program from Microsoft and my personal experience, sometimes inexplicable thingsWhat you could do is trying to roll back the BONE to this early time!
Eventually a point system restore has been created and you can set the operating system on this point.I also recommend to check your recorded programs.
Usually programs stored is located in the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\ all TempSBE TV
Maybe you could save these files. -

During the registrationof windows media Center recording error
I just reinstalled Windows XP pro on my laptop using the support disc that comes with it. Formatted the C drive and installed. At half way through a message "errors of recording when recording in Windows Media Center." For more information, see - windows/medctroc.log.
After accepting this installation on board after starting a box came up with "Starting windows first time.» Please wait. "Nothing happened and I ended up re start it manually.
Another view "configure." Windows Update - dot.net .net service pack 1.1 - dot - restart
Yet once I had to reboot manually.
error came: sl1a.tmp common language runtime debugging services application has generated an exception that could not be treated have id = 0x4e0 (1248), thread id = 0x4fo (1264)
When widows finally came message read - system will restart - not found ngen.exe entry - point and then - get asked the version of the runtime could not be found in the dynamic binding.
I open IE and try to get updates and a message says "the requested lookup key was not found any active activation context.»
I managed to install Opera, but that is not enough with Microsoft update. Could someone please help?
This looks like one of three things is unhealthy
(1) your installation disc
(2) your RAM
(3) your hard drive,
You must test each and then determine if its more cost effective to replace the unit or machine.
(1) test the drive in another machine with IsoBuster - an analysis of surface and find if everything is OK if there are some errors present
(2) tΘlΘcharger a RAM www.memtest.org - run at least 8 passes Tester and see if errors appear
(3) download the utility from control of the manufacturer of the HD and create the bootable CD - do a quick scan and then the long scan of the hard drive and see what it reports.

Media Center TV error: not detected IR receiver.
I plugged properly the IR cable (and the "pouf"), but I can't turn my TV through Media Center. I keep getting the error message: IR hardware not detected. It worked fine until I had to have a new hard drive installed, with media Center - the XP version - need to be resettled.
- ... My fact computer receive TV (via S-video) signal.
- And I am convinced that I have the IR cable is connected directly over signage to distance from the box by satellite.
- My IR equipment was purchased with my computer, via the gateway. The IR has a name brand on the back, called "SMK".
I honestly don't care even if the remote control work-I just want to be able to watch (and record) the TV via my computer. - But I can't complete the configuration of the TV, it me stops with this error message every time.Help someone? Please? Thanks for the ideas. In the meantime, I found a way around, by attaching listeners both ports the pouf - and through various tests, I managed to fool my computer allowing me to configure the TV manually, at least partially. It is not completely functional - that I can't control my receiver via my computer... but I never able to do this, even if my computer has been directly from the factory. (and Yes, I have the little 'eye' attached directly above 'eye' on my receiver). ... At this point, I was kinda afraid to throw my current settings. But I'll keep your suggestions in case I have have other difficulties or be too frustrated with my set-up.
Thanks much for the thoughts! -
Windows Media Center Configuration error
Hello. I found people with this problem all over the internet but I have yet to get a final solution.
My PC is running Vista Home Premium with Media Center the greats. It is connected to my wireless network.
My Xbox is connected to the network directly, as he's sitting right next to her.
My PC detects the Xbox in 'Network' and it appears as an Extender when I run the Media Center application. My Xbox gives me the 8 digit code and I put it. I said I want to share media, and it then goes to the configuration bit extender. Then it says Configuration error.
I have enabled Media Player via my firewall, open all the necessary local ports and don't have any other firewalls up. I don't know what is happening.
I'd like to get this up and running, so any help is welcome.
EDIT: Just realized this placed entirely in the wrong place. Please move it, mod?

Windows Media Center gives error wmp.dll
Original title: Windows Media Center - Vista - does not - please help!
Hello. We had a problem with Windows media center after the SP2 update. We tried a few workaround solutions, and now we get the following error: "C:/windows/system32/wmp.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact system support". I was unable to find a download for Windows media center in Vista. Can you help me?
Hi EricLarson_CL,
Method 1: Perform the analysis of System File Checker (SFC) that might help you resolve the issue.
To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
3. at the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
Follow the instructions in the link below for more information on scan SFC.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/
Method 2: You can turn off & on Windows Media Center in Windows Feature & check if the problem persists.
Turn on or off Windows features
Method 3: Try to rebuild the Media Center data store and check if it helps:
(a) exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.
(b) delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:
%SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.DB
To remove the file, follow these steps:
(a) click Start and then click on run
(b) in the Open box, type run and then click OK
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
(c) in the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and then click OK.
(d) in the details pane, right-click right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.
(e) click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.
Start Windows Media Center
Note: You may not be able to download Windows Media Center for vista, but it is integrated with the operating system.Hope this information is useful.
Thank you and best regards,

Download and install Windows XP video decoder Checkup Utility to determine if an MPEG-2 video decoder (also called a DVD decoder) is installed on your Windows XP computer and whether or not the decoder is compatible with your WMP.

Windows Media Center Gets error: invalid Application - cannot start
Windows Media Center (of the month last Vista 32-Bit)
I have problems to make internet TV, news and Netflix to connect to the internet when you use Windows Media Center. They are all under the TV + movies option during the WMC. I get an error saying [invalid Application - cannot start "" ""]. Not sure if this is because the internet connection that I use is not one that has a user name or password. Not know how to configure it for this version of Windows. I don't get this problem when you use Windows Media Center in Windows 7.
At the opening of Windows Media Center I get the following message: INVALID APPLICATION; "Unable to launch SymAddin; and a checkbox to disable this Application (I have not checked the box).

Problem installing Windows Media Center: get error 'no IR hardware found ".
I keep getting stuck trying to set up my tv tuner in my HP Pavilion laptop dv4 (entertainment version), I have a satellite signal, a TV HP Hybrid Tuner (which did not come with a large part of the documentation. So I get through all the setting up until the last section, where it says "my remote control must be able to change the channel on my set - top box and that"no IR hardware not detected"he also tells me to see my hardware documentation (zero to watch), so I'm stuck...» Help, please!
You need to trick MS media center. To implement, choose manual configuration. Then the antenna. Analog. Finishing.
Go to the main configuration of media center page. Click on TV. Guide. Add a channel. I added 3. Now I just use my remote for my cable box to change channels...
So far, it works like a charm... Good luck, hope it works for you!

Hello
After you follow the instructions to repair a problem as indicated in the following thread, I now have a problem with Media Center
https://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Office/Forum/office_2010-office_install/problem-with-grooveintlresourcedll/c12778e6-4822-4cac-ad22-6e39cd4a4180
Media Center opens OK but after the start of a string of television, immediately it is running (and still running), it produces the following error
ehexthost.exe - incorrect Image
---------------------------
C:\Windows\System32\Mpeg2Data.AX is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.
I tried to remove Media Center via Add or remove programs, but the problems reoccurs. No one knows how to fix?
As I said, this is a repair through the upgrade option (Win7 64 bit).
I've sorted the DotNet question using the cleaning tool to remove all traces of the previous versions, then only the latest version. Other remedies proposed in the community forums has not worked.

Video Windows Media Center HDMI error problem
I noticed this problem scattered on these forums, and it took me some time to find the solution on other forums, but thought I'd post it here. For people using some graphics cards ATI HDMI with windows 7 MCE, trying to play Dolby Digital sources causes the MCE crashing. The error will say something in terms of "video error... in windows media center must be restarted." This happens about 10 seconds after the video with audio playback SD. I tried to play with all the different types of codecs ffdshow and AC3Filters etc.
The solution is in fact a major bug in windows 7. To work around this problem MCE7 and windows sound properties cannot assign 5.1 speakers. You define the sound properties in 7 Stereo 2.0 and keep the MCE to 5.1 for dolby Digital encoded files without MCE game crashing. I hope that MS will make a fix for this because it is a serious problem, and the solution is not easy to find.
I have a ZOTAC ZBOX ND02, dual ATI 750U Tuners and Windows 7. Reloaded the o/s once to resolve quickly the it and returned. Spends hours on the subject. Switching to 2 speakers in the MCE Assistant did the trick. Thanks for the tip. Phew!

The screen of the Media Center driver error (w / 7750 HD or GTX 650 Ti)
I had used the Radeon HD 7750 fits. I use the ceton cable card tv tuner nfinity, everything is configured with the map and the television company by cable. The channels work only the work around, reduce then maximize. I get the error "display pilot error" whenever I select live TV. So I replace the nvidia GTX 650 Ti graphics card, which directly tells me the card is HDCP Compatible with the driver and the display. I run Media center and still get the same error message from pilot view.
How can I fix with a graphics card to work?
Windows 7
12 GB of ram
Currently using: ti gtx 650
f1a75-m pro motherboard r2.0
APU AMD 3850The following instructions:
http://cetoncorp.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/article/view/40/22/blue-blinking-ledFixed the problem of unavailable Service.
now I can watch the cable without having to minimize it and maximize workaround
Although I still don't have any idea what caused my display driver error issue before.

I had to install a new hard drive after the death of my old. I use my Dell recovery/reinstallation disk. The first time I tried installing that it froze after the reboot. I then did a repair installation (twice) and each time got the following error:
PxShare.exe Application error.
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000135). Click OK to close the application.
It appears at the end of the installation, but when my login screen is displayed, it shows only one account, administrator and request a password. I have not configured any accounts when I did the installation and you do not have a password. I tried to enter without password, using admin as password and check-in safe mode did not help - it still asked for a password.
I don't know if the two problems are related or not.
Thanks for any help!
Hi Lowery619,
(a) If you have external devices unnecessary connected to the machine, unplug them.
(b) thereafter, you can try reinstalling Windows XP.
