WS-C3750G-48PS-S

I want to test 48 ports of 3750 past at the same time, is there a command to test these port without using a single-port Cat5 cable?

To test the physical ports you need something trendy, snack, it is damage to the pins on the interface.

  • Cisco 220 - 48P

    Dear Bro

I'm working on the Cisco SMB partner. I'm not clear about PoE + on this Cisco.

Incidentally kindly please give me what port number that support PoE + Switch Cisco 220 - 48 p.

    Better compliance

    Chan

    The data sheet States:

Switches are supported 802.3af and 802.3at standard pre Cisco (legacy) PoE on port 1 to port 4 with a maximum power of 30W per port; switches are supported 802.3af and standard pre Cisco (legacy) PoE on other RJ-45 ports with a maximum power of 15.4 W per port

This applies to all models compatible PoE; the maximum number of PoE ports feeds simultaneously is determined by the total budget of PoE for the switch and the requirement of the real power of the devices of PD

The total power available for PoE switch is as follows:

    Model name

    Dedicated to PoE power

Number of Ports that support the PoE

  • SF200 48P... Need some advice

Hello and thank you for reading my post.

I currently have a small network that looks like this... SMC cable modem (with static IP) > RVO16 > connected to some computers and printers > 4 port linksys switch > connect multiple PCs and POS.

    What A location.

I have another place that looks like this... Cable modem (dynamic IP) > RVO82 > connected to computers, printers and the POS.

    What location B.

The locations are connected by a tunnel that is used daily and intensively.

Here are the changes that will happen at A location, I have purchased ip phones and we'll be adding several new computers, printers. all to be connected to the new SF200 48P I bought. It was mainly for ip phones and the POE ports, but looks like it should work well for the whole of the network.

Should I be setting up small VLANs to say each office which will consist of one IP address and telephone, computer and printer..., there will be about 8-10 like this.

I want to keep offices and connected places and maintain security at a good level. I need quality of Service for ip phones.

Not really sure if I should use the RVO16.

Also wondered if maybe the RV180W-A-K9-NA would be a good choice instead of the RVO16 because it also has VPN.

I intend to update location B with a new switch, IP phones, computers and printers as well. (next year as cost is the factor of this year)

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Steve

Hi Steve, the RV016 supports multiple subnets and VLANS based left only.

The RV180 much better address this traffic because it supports the 802. 1 q VLAN.

    Questions

1.) this switch supports POE 15.4 on all 48 10/100 ports (ESW-520-48P-K9). The total nominal power of this switch is only 370W and if it divided with 48 ports, each port can drive only 7W. So therefore the confusion.

I suspect it's because your other switches in the stack are not 3750-12s switch?

3750-12s switch running the model of aggregation by default but all other 3750 s cannot run office model.

Then on the master can try this-

Nobody knows, including at - it a special order to upgrade the license in which case the basis of LAN 3750 X switches are stacked?

I know that the upgrade on a standalone switch works fine, I tried on another.

    Hi Vlad,

Make sure that the correct UID of each device, including upper and lower case letters are used to generate the license key, otherwise it won't work.

Alternatively, you can generate yourself the keys by clicking on this link and loogin with your CCO account

  • 802. 1 x has no authentication with WS-C3750G-24 t

    Hello

I've already implemented a lab including 1 x 2950-24 switch, 2 x 3750-24 t in the mode of stacking and 2 x MS domain controller with AD 2008 and NPS active (domain level 2008) servers. I use NPS as a Radius server. I'm testing the 802 framework. 1 x in both scenarios.

    1. I use as a customer laptop domain with Windows XP SP3 with the integrated 802. 1 x MS begging. As authenticator use as authentication servers and 2950 switch, I use the two NPS integrated in MS DCs. everything works well as I predicted with basic configuration of Cisco & Microsoft guidelines.

    2. I use as customer laptop domain with Windows XP SP3 with integrated 802. 1 x MS "supplicant" (the same as before). As authenticator, I use the pile of 3750 Switch and as authentication servers, I use the two NPS integrated into DCs MS (same as before). I configured the supplicant for authentication of the user or machine in both scenarios. However the customer never pass the authentication in the second. I unplug and plug the pleading even in the switch 2950 and the authentication is completed successfully. Back to the stack of 3750 authentication failure and the computer laptop network access in the configured Vlan Auth Failed. I tried several unsuccessful configuration changes. I don't understand why this is happening to you. I did a few debugs and I send them a long with a partial switch basic configuration 3750 battery.

If someone could check it out and offer something, it would be appreciated!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

interface or system jumbo mtu on your switch seems to be the value of 9000 bytes:

    15:50:11.822 6 March: RADIUS: Framed-MTU [12] 6 9000

Try to include the Framed-MTU attribute (settings > attributes RADIUS > Standard > Add...)  in your NPS policy and set the value of 1500.

    Kind regards

  • N2000 and N3000 stacking cables

    Hello

    I have a small question.

0, 5 m, stacking of cables (N2000 and N3000 series) enough to connect the switches that are 2 RU independently of each other?

The plan is to have two panels of brewing between switches (24 p, 48p 2x24p, 48p, switch panel, switch panel,... and so on) and I'm not sure if 0, 5 m battery cables will be sufficient or do I go with cables of 1 m... on the pictures it looks like connectors are long enough and I'm not sure if 0.5 refers to the length of cable length of connectors witch included or not.

    Kind regards

    Jakub

    Jakub

If the switches you are trying to stack are only 2RU apart, then all the support cables should work, including 0.5 m.  With the help of a cable management system, stacking more cables such as 3 m can allow routing around the patch panel ports.

  • U2413, calibration solution Ultrasharp fails to connect to display via the USB port

    Dell U2413 SN: CN-0YCM0F-72872-48P-A81L REV A01 August 2014

Try to run the ultrasharp Dell V1.5.3 on this monitor calibration solution, however, the software stops and displays "please connect the screen to your computer via a USB cable." I click the OK button after you have checked that the USB port on the computer is connected to the USB connection screen, but ultimately, this message appears:
"Could not establish a connection to the screen. Please make sure that the USB cable is connected and try again. »

Has tried this on two different computers, running Windows Pro 8.1. One was connected to the monitor cable HDMI to DVI (Thinkpad 10 via docking station), the other using the provided Dell Display Port printer for (Tablet Thinkpad X 230) mini display port cable.

The USB ports on computers were connected the Dell supplied USB 3 cable to the monitor. Also tried this on a single computer by using a USB 2 port and a USB cable with the same result. The USB connections on the monitor seems to work ok when you plug a flash drive or the i1 Display Pro. Also, did a reset Monitor USB and verified that Windows has seen additional generic hubs when the USB Monitor is connected to the computer. There are 4 additional hubs when you use additional 2 usb hubs and USB 3 cable when using the USB 2 cable. In addition, power cycled the monitor several times (as recommended in the version that is known for this problem) without success.

Before the attempt to make the calibration:
A factory reset on the monitor.
Ran the monitor self test and SUBMISSION. No problem found.
Monitor purchased from Dell November 2014

    Same result with V1.5.7

Any suggestions? Where should I go from here?

I had success in the U2413 of profiling. I pulled out an old workhorse, a Thinkpad T43
under Windows XP. Then installed the ultrasharp Dell V1.5.3 calibration solution and all
updates available from Microsoft, but no other software - nothing of the Dell-supplied with
the monitor. Used the DVI - connection DVI and USB 3 cable supplied with the monitor. The
software Profiler has worked well with this configuration. When the program first took to the "Start
Screen measure"(where the problem occurs already noted) Windows (message status bar)
has reported that he accessed software Realtek 3.0. So I focused on research at the Realtek
    software on other systems.

On the Thinkpad 10. There were two 1. "Realtek Card Reader" and 2. «Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader» I have
removed both and reinstalled the software Realtek for Dell monitor CD. Insert an SD card and
a USB in the monitor and both were seen by Windows Explorer. There was also a Realtek USB
3.0 card reader to showing in Manager devices under USB controllers. Using the connections between the T10 to monitor previously described the Profiler software, then ran normally.

X 230 - I removed the "Realtek Card Reader" (V6.2.9600.30168) software and tried to start the
Software Profiler and it does not at the same point as before. Then I installed the Realtek USB 2.0
Software for the Dell card reader. However, there was still no Realtek USB 3.0 card reader
display in the Manager of devices under USB controllers. Software Profiler is not like before. I then
inserted an SD card in the monitor and the "Realtek USB Card Reader 3.0" appeared in the device
Manager. Software Profiler, then ran normally.

So now my two systems Windows 8.1 software profiling will not work if the 'Realtek USB 3.0 Card '.
Reader"is not listed in Device Manager. To do this the software must be installed (for example
starting from the Dell CD) AND an SD card must be inserted into the SD slot on the monitor. Remove the SD card
Card and the device disappears and profiling software will not run. Insert an SD card and the
    Software Profiler works normally.

How can I get the "Realtek USB 3.0 card reader ' to automatically load before running the Profiler software?

Put the threshold on the one hand, the cli is terribly slow and so I removed immediately redirect to the relevant interfaces. He bought the network back to normal in terms of performance.

Is this a calibration problem or maybe a bad configuration or something else...?

Here is a list of best practices to follow to do forwarding of wccp on hardware platforms such as the 3750.  I found it in the link below.

    http://www.Cisco.com/Web/services/news/ts_newsletter/tech/ChalkTalk/archives/200806.html

The following best practices should be applied to the implementation of WCCP on a hardware platform:

    • L2 transfer
    • Assignment of mask
    • Interception of incoming traffic
    • No ' exclude ip wccp redirect in.

Your configuration "output method negotiated return of interception-method wccp" will appeal to a WCCP GRE tunnel to create of the 3750 to CAI.  All traffic will be then be redirected a software based on this configuration line.

"Game of negotiated return as the method of evacuation. With this specification, the Cisco WAE uses GRE to return traffic redirected to the router intercepting. Note: in this case, WCCP negotiated WCCP GRE return method. »

    Found here: https://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/contnetw/ps5680/ps6870/prod_white_paper0900aecd806d976a_ps6474_Products_White_Paper.html

I'd stick to best practices that Zach has described in the link at the beginning of this post.  It's a very well written on the WCCP redirect article.

    Concerning

  • Command switchport mode access

    Hello

I was curious about the switchport mode access command and its interoperability with the switchport command in vlan voice.

If I set up a switchport with the switchport mode access commmand, which will make it impossible for the switchport create a trunk special cases with the IP phone? Even if I set up switchport vlan speech?

And if so, the port should be configured as switchport mode dynamic auto? Or desirable?

    Thank you, Pat

Pat, you can configure a port as an access port, add the configuration of vlan voice and connect a phone and another device. The trunk will form. With the "vlan voice" Cisco obscures the fact that forms a trunk. I don't necessarily agree with this strategy, and it wasn't always in this way. I remember configuration of phones on a 3500XL and ports have been configured in trunks.

You made me think, so I issued a few commands on a WS-C3560V2-48PS-S running IOS 12.2 (58) SE2 who has 12 phones connected on it.

Here is the config for a port that has a connected phone:

    Switch #sho int f0/2nd round

    Building configuration...

    Current configuration: 475 bytes

    !

    interface FastEthernet0/2

    switchport access vlan 11

    switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

    switchport trunk vlan 11 native

switchport trunk allowed vlan 2, 10-19

    switchport mode access

    switchport nonegotiate

    switchport voice vlan 12

    SRR-queue bandwidth share 1 30 35 5

    priority queue

    MLS qos trust device cisco-phone

    MLS qos trust cos

    Auto qos voip cisco-phone

    No auto mdix

    spanning tree portfast

    service-policy input AUTOQOS-SRND4-CISCOPHONE-POLICY

    end

If I show the status of the trunk for an individual port that IOS recognizes that the port with the attached telephone is actually a trunk:

    Switch #sho int f0/2 trunk

VLAN Mode Encapsulation native port State

    FA0/2 off 802. 1 q non-gaine 11

    Port VLAN allowed on trunk

    FA0/2, 11-12

Port VLAN authorized and active in the field of management

    FA0/2, 11-12

VLAN port extending on transmission State and no tree pruned

    FA0/2, 11-12

However if I do a "sho int trunk" to display all the ports on the switch IOS trunk does not include telephone ports in the output.

    Trunk switch #sho int

VLAN Mode Encapsulation native port State

    FA0/45 on 802. 1 q 12 trunking

    FA0/46 / 802. 1 q 12 trunking

    Gi0/1 on 802. 1 q sheath 11

    Gi0/2 of 802. 1 q sheath 11

    Port VLAN allowed on trunk

    FA0/45 2: 10-19

    FA0/46 2: 10-19

    Gi0/1, 2, 10-19

    Gi0/2, 2, 10-19

Port VLAN authorized and active in the field of management

    FA0/45 13, 16-2, 11-17

    FA0/46 13, 16-2, 11-17

    Gi0/1, 2, 11-13, 16-17

    Gi0/2 13, 16-2, 11-17

VLAN port extending on transmission State and no tree pruned

    FA0/45 13, 16-2, 11-17

    FA0/46 13, 16-2, 11-17

    Gi0/1, 2, 11-13, 16-17

    Gi0/2 13, 16-2, 11-17

So firstly IOS says "Yes, it is a trunk" and on the other hand it is said ' Nope, no trunks here! So notice that 'spanning-tree portfast' is configured on f0/2, no 'portfast spanning-tree trunk. PortFast is still active on this port.

Switch #sho span int f0/2 selection

    VLAN0011 enabled

    VLAN0012 enabled

Conversely on 45 port, we have a VG-224 connected and it is configured with "switchport mode trunk" and "trunk spanning-tree portfast '. If I change than just "spanning-tree portfast' we see this:

Switch #sho span int f0/45 selection

    VLAN0002 disabled

    VLAN0011 disabled

    VLAN0012 disabled

    VLAN0013 disabled

    VLAN0016 disabled

    VLAN0017 disabled

Cisco has confused the issue here. I would prefer if we called a trunk, a trunk, but for some reason, they do not.

    See you soon,.
