2000-2d11DX HP: laptop loses connectivity wi - fi after hibernation/standby

My laptop loses wireless connectivity once it goes into hibernation mode or "standby mode". I have to restart the computer for the laptop to resume the wi - fi signal. This does not happen with other laptops I have.

What is the solution?

Thank you

original title: STUMPER! My laptop loses its STARTUP information after it was closed during the night?

I have a problem very intrigueing that I can't understand. I can do a clean install of Vista Ultimate(32 or 64 bit), on my gateway M285 - E Tablet PC. Once it's done and I did not yet updates, if I stop the system at night, I wake up and you try to boot the system and get a blue screen (which finally tells me that my "disk.sys" file is missing. I tried plugging it down in increments to see when this file, in fact, is lost. I stopped for about 1 1/2 hours and it will start fine, but during the night, it won't.

Then I tried a fresh install and did all the updates available, same thing. I tried to start a "memory test and everything is fine." I even did the memory more intense test (which takes forever, by the way... lol). I also did "chkdsk", as well as all viruses and malware, etc. tests with Norton first Edition.

I got to the point where I now have 3 separate "disk images" that I created to save time in my software I want to use this system of loading. We're just a clean install, that no update, other clean install available updates. and the last with a clean install with all my software MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Entertainment and all of their updates.

I did this for if I'll actually somehow solve this problem I can easily use the "disk image" I want... No...

Oh yes, I also all my drivers up to date etc.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT:

Another problem related to this situation, it's the hard drive becomes undetectable, so I have to use a software such as Ubunta starting vehicle, which has its own operating system, so I can actually format my hard drive to start the installation process. (otherwise my Vista installation won the same recognize I have a hard drive, not to mention operating system to try to resolve, such as startup repair, System Restore, etc.)

I finally figured it... xD is a hard drive diver who has been desgned for WinXP and for some reason any were never changed during the installation of Vista on this system or automatic updates.

It was actually the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, specifically the Intel SATA AHCI Controller. I used "Driver Whiz/Detective", which would install most drivers via a base file system are integrated.

The controller AHCI SATA Intel(r) has not, it only downloaded a .zip file that contains the following files:

    IaStor.sys
    iaAHCI.cat
    iaAHCI.inf

These were to actually be manually installed. "Even if I had downloaded and extracted the files, when I tried to update the driver"Intel SATA AHCI controller"via Device Manager" through the command of newer driver search. It does not always detect it them, stating that I already had the best and latest drivers already installed.

Then, for some reason that just kept on bothering me, because "Driver Whiz/Detective kept indicating that it was the best version of the driver for my system.

So, I finally tried to update the drivers manually by specifying exactly where these files are located on my system. Then he finally recognized them and installed them.

According to me, given that this system is an older model 'Gateway M285-E Tablet PC', even if it is Vista compatible, he has always maintained the operating system higher available for WinXP, through any auto detect in the BIOS. Even in the settings of the BIOS OS I tried assigning 'Other', because the only other options were Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000 and WinXP.

So having not the 'Intel(r) SATA AHCI controller"recognizing a Vista OS after be closed for a period of time, it would try to load a Windows XP operating system, and have failed to do. Strange, but is the only explanation I can offer for her.

    Thanks for the help,

Try pressing your "fn + f5" together until both monitors are on. The combination of keys is to pass between the monitors. In your case, the first time, it should turn on the laptop screen and turns off the second monitor, the second must turn them both on. On some computers, it's the f4 key and on dell is the f8 key, the key is usually the image from one monitor to this topic.

  • WIN8 to downgrade win7 drivers 2000-2d11dx

I was helping my friend install windows 7 on his HP windows 2000-2d11dx 8, because she wanted to return to its former operating system before putting laptops.

The HP site has drivers for windows 8 for the model 2000-2d11dx. I read somewhere on the help forums I could try allowing updates of winows find and download drivers for the current operating system for the hardware, but I can't access internet on laptop computer without network drivers.

I've seen people on the forums get replys with links driver for win7 after win8 but for different models.

If someone could help me find network drivers or if more than just the network drivers are available that woul so greatly apreshiated.

    Please and thank you

First of all sory for the blow of mouth but I hope you undertsand my frustration.

Once the hours talking with HP help support on the phone, get hung up several times and hit around different departments I finished hand on someone with half a brain.

First I thought that the only way that you are able to download the drivers for a computer HP is if you are on this computer, after explaining that you need network drivers for access to the HP website and download the drivers, that told me that I was wrong and he explained the same silly statement that I have just mentioned. then after talking very slowly why that is not possible I was transferred.

I then spoke to someone on downloading the drivers from another computer with internet access, but I was soon hung up after getting into an argument about the availability of the drivers on the Web site. After calling back and get in touch with yet another person to the help line, I had the same argument about not offering Web site not pilots and hung up.

Then I talked to someone, transferred and finally a person of HP had admit they have 0 drivers for the 200-2d11dx on the Web site. the only option is to pay $15 for a recovery disc. (which should be a link different all the togeather and not included in the driver download section)

View overview page and site specs page are also a copy and paste, there is no depth in details available material. site and equipment specialists are unable to provide everyone with the manufacturing of the equipment (which would be useful then I could get the drivers directly from them)

To remedy this, I went on a no hunting for drivers with absolutely no help from the line of HP support, or help forums.

I go victorius and would like to post how I found the win7 drivers so if anyone has the same problem they hopefully, see this post and not to call the help line only to be jerky around 4 hours.

= End of the story/beginning of solution =.

First of all, I started using my phone and internet teathering for laptop for I can have internet access.

I then found a simular to link to one below helped me to activate windows updates automatically search for drivers.

    http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3598.html

(if you can not teather internet phone loan or buy a good cheap wireless USB should work anyway)

After enabling this setting, windows update found all but two of the drivers for the laptop. The two pilots that it was impossible to find was the...

    SM Bus controller driver

Network controller driver (windows update find the wireless simply cannot he network controller driver that is connected to the Ethernet port)

I could then find this nice Intel chipset driver for the SM Bus controller at this link

(Note: the following link is ment for all x 64 win7 systems only)
    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http :/ / downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/infinst_autol.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=20775&DownloadType=Drivers&OSFullname=Windows+7+(64-bit) * & ProductID = 816

Right now, all the drivers have been installed except the card of netwrork, which wasn't a big deal at my friend case she uses only the wireless anyway.

So, for those of you who have this laptop DO NOT CALL HP SUPPORT! they don't know how to help you, if they did not know that they have helped me instead of spit blatant lies to avoid fixing the actuall problem.

But if you do not use an OS that was built for a Tablet; It is possible to switch to Win7, as long as you are ready to use the exclusivly wireless and follow the instructions in my post.

Note: (if I can't find a network driver I will come back here to post it for all)

  • WiFi loses connection intermittently and the erasure of the arp arranges

This has been asked before many times, but none of the above worked for me so far.

I have a MacBook Pro with El Capitan on it. From time to time, usually 5 to 10 minutes,

my connection drops and I can browse the internet. As:

    4 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7646 ttl = 53 time = 13,091 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7647 ttl = 53 time = 17,035 ms

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7651

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7652

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7653

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7654

Shooting, then turn on the WiFi will fix the problem, but I tried to limit the problem

and I discovered that deleting IP of the route in the arp table will also fix connectivity

    immediately:

    $ sudo arp d 192.168.0.1

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7718

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7719

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7720

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7721 ttl = 53 time = 10,947 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7722 ttl = time 53 = 11,966 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7723 ttl = 53 time = 12,576 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7724 ttl = time 53 = 11,058 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7725 ttl = 53 time = 15,173 ms

Deactivation of unicast arp has NO had no effect either:

    $ sudo sysctl-w net.link.ether.inet.arp_unicast_lim = 0

    Notes:

-J' have two MacBook Pro at home. Other works without problem.

-My phone and other devices work also with the same router with no problems.

-The problematic MacBook works with other WiFi networks without any problem.

    What could be the problem?

Yes, clear arp fix it. Very familiar with it.

I had this problem for 2 years and more than 2 or 3 MacBooks, on El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks.   I Googled it every 1-2 years months.  I captured packets and tested several access points... The best fix so far... is the arp compensation, and I have the automated at the moment:

    in a terminal:

While true; make sudo arp - da; sleep 2; fact

When the window is open, every 2 seconds, my arp table gets undervalued... and if I lose connectivity, the maximum cut is 1 to 2 seconds.

I noticed that in some places, I don't have the problem... its as if my laptop reacts badly to some other customers on the same WIFI network.  This question makes me crazy, and I can't imagine how was such years.  If I don't fix it manually, I find myself for 30-120 seconds every few minutes.

    Hello

Check with the router manufacturer, their online documentation and forums support (if any). Most have
excellent tutorials online. The router must be configured before connecting to it.

Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.
