2520hc: hp 2520hc scan result is vertical line

hp2520hc why the scans are vertical lines?

Hi @Riza13,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are getting vertical lines when scanning. I want to help you solve this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

It may be a hardware problem with the printer.

Please keep the lid of the scanner open and then press the copy button.

Check if the scanner lamp turns on.

Check if the scanner moves freely through the glass.

If the problem persists, please Contact the HP Support for help. Check the model number and the form to receive a file number for faster assistance.

Please let me know the results. Thank you.

  • HP Officejet 4632 All in One – scanning with a vertical line through the document.

Just bought the machine less than a month ago.  Faxes and prints fine and until last week was the sweep for our laptops beautifully... but now is scanning with a dark vertical line up and down the sheet about 1/3 in the document.  What is the cause and how can I "fix" it?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi Rohi63.

I understand that you have a 4632 Officejet which becomes a vertical line what it is scanned. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'll do my best to help you.

This seems not only to be the case when using the automatic document feeder, or the glass flat?

Usually something like this is caused because there is something on the glass. If it only happens when you use the scanner, please get a lint cloth and some glass cleaner (Windex or water if nothing else is available) and wipe the entire surface of the glass for scanning. If this only happens when scanning via the charger, you will see there is a separate strip of glass on the left looking at the scan glass, and you can focus your cleaning there.

If this does not resolve the issue please try the steps in cleaning several times, but if nothing seems to evolve, please make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet so that we know, that he has all the power it needs.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • T2300 scans leaving a vertical white line

I was about to order the CIS component to the far left or the Narcotics Control Board. Everything has been cleaned.

Should I try the CIS elements is on the left with one directly to the right of switching?

Sorry for the not to return to the instance in a case in a timely.

I swapped the bad CIS 'A' element with the element 'E '.

    Problem solved.

The bad LED now overlaps with the CIS below and to the right element.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Document feeder causing vertical lines in copying and scanning

When I copy or scan via the document feeder I get two vertical lines on the copy or scan.  How can I fix it?

Hello @aadmin, hope you are well!

Thank you for becoming a member of the HP Forum. It's a great place to get help from the community, to get suggestions and find what has worked for others.

I understand that you are facing problems while scanning / copying using the ADF. Please, try the following steps to resolve this problem.

    1. Make a blank copy using the ADF. Ideally, you should get a blank document with the two vertical lines.
    2. Keep the page out on your dish / the main scanner bed facing you.
    3. Follow the line or streak on the paper to the box on the ADF glass is the origin of the problem. Carefully clean the thin "strip of lid of scanner ADF white' and 'the band glass ADF Scanner' with a damp lint cloth.
    4. See the figure below. 3 is the glass Strip ADF & 2 is the white cover ADF scanner.

These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results.

  • Vertical lines in messages scanning and fax on HP 6500 a

    Hello

I have an Officejet 6500 has everything in one.

In recent weeks, when I scan a document, the only result I get is in black mode (black vertical lines all over the page).

If I use the scanning color mode I get all the lines of color on the page.

Is it a material, problem with the lamp of scanning or something else?

The machine is around the age of 5 months.

Someone at - it an idea?

The same for faxes, the same lines will appear.

This is the main reason why I guess it's a hardware problem.

    Any comments would be useful...

    Thank you very much

This could be a hardware problem and maybe also a problem of glass dirty scan.

    * First of all, I would like to try to reset the printer:

    (1) unplug the unit while it is turned

    (2) unplug the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly

    (3) separate the power cord from the power brick in the middle of the string

    (4) wait a minute

    (5) unit rear cap for a direct decision-making power, not a surge protector.

If the lines continue, then try the steps in the document for lines/stripes in scans/copy/Fax.  Click here and select the blank copy for troubleshooting option, in this case.  Let me know how it goes.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan everything in the middle of the page

    Hi Clementstl,

I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.

I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line. The most common cause is a small spot of something on the glass of the scanner, so just make sure that when you're cleaning use you as much elbow grease you can collect

Just to clarify a little further, if the problem only seems to occur when you use the automatic document feeder, you'll want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass that he uses on the left side. If it only occurs when you use the flat glass, you want to concentrate on the large piece of glass he uses.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • HP 8740: Vertical lines, while the scanning & photocopies

I bought a new HP8740 about three weeks ago and everything worked well until today.

Now I have black vertical lines down the scan or photocopy.

First of all, I turned off the printer for 30 seconds and put the plug directly into the wall.  It did not work.

I turned off - unplugged for 5 minutes - but still has the black lines.

Can someone please suggest something else I can try.

Hello @gouldian, thank you very much for your answer.

The only difference between the analysis of the dumpster and using the ADF is where scanning occurs. Uses of the ADF Strip glass (1 "wide) toward the left side of the pane of glass for analysis. Cleaning if ideally white scanner ADF lid and glass ADF scanner should have solved the problem.

I suggest you to do a blank copy on ADF, keep the page in front of you and carefully clean the place, you get the line in the band scanner & the white plastic strip.

If the issue is always I suggest you to clean the ADF mechanism itself. You can watch a video of HP http://hp.care/2bYt7Qu that will help you to do this. The video is made using the Officejet 8600 printer, but it's the same for your printer as well.

Please let me know what happens. Thank you!

  • Red vertical line on copy scan/auto auto

I have an all-in-one PhotoSmart 7510.  I have had this unit for several years, but only recently, and only in autoscan or auto-copie mode, make a red vertical line down the scanning or copying.  This problem does not exist when I place the original document directly on the scanning bed.  I have not found a solution online that addressed this issue.  Just for fun, I tried the solutions in this document, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01791053.  However, none of these solutions worked.

    Hi ericellman,

When you leave the cover and look at the glass to scan there is a large glass panel that is the dish. On the left, you will see a strip of glass that is separate from the larger piece, which is the glass of the scanner for the automatic document feeder.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • DeskJet 3835: Black vertical lines when scanning - Deskjet 3835

    Hello

Whenever I scan using the document feeder, there are black vertical lines showing on the picture. This happens with the dish however. The printer is the 3835 Deskjet all in one set. Receive your answer. Thank you.

The lines that you describe would generally caused by a small file specifications (or some spec) on the thin glass to the left of the bed main scanner.  Open the scanner cover and clean the thin glass.  It can help to shine a bright light which is held at a slight angle to the bed of the front.  This would be to highlight the areas to be cleaned.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: vertical line when scanning

I get a vertical line when I scan using the document feeder.  I do not understand when scanning the glass plate. I need assistance to access the mirror slider.  I raised the lid for the loading of documents, but I couldn't find out how to get under the rollers to clean the mirror. Thank you

The document here can help solve the black lines to scan using the ADF on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  From my experience this is almost always caused by a specification on the thin glass on the side left which is used for scanning using the ADF.  Cleaning of this area as described in the above document should solve the problem.  If the initial cleanup does not resolve the problem, it can help to shine a bright flashlight almost parallel to the glass.  For a line on the left side of the printed page, the place will be toward the front of the printer, if the line is on the right side of the document, it must correspond to a specification to the rear of the printer.

  • HP Officejet Pro e-all-in-6830: getting vertical lines color when scanning or printing

My new printer prints very well.  But when I try to scan or copy, the pagae is filled with white and the vertical lines of color.  Any thoughts?

Just talked to HP.  Clean the scanner bed with bottles of water and a lint cloth.  Do you have a hard reset by unplugging the power cord, wait 15 seconds and in him reconnecting again.  Now, scanning and copying work very well.  Go figure.

  • Scan & Copy 7520 thin vertical line

A thin vertical line extends all the way to the bottom of the page - 6cm in on the left of the page.  It appears that when I use the automatic document feeder.  I have cleaned the printer according to the instructions and also to reset a couple of times - nothing helped.

In other words, there is little land on adf scanning glass: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00899181
If you already cleaned the adf scanner, perhaps, there is a death in the scanner sensor (but you said, that doesn't happen on the analyses of the adf, then, probably, that this is not the case).

I have a black vertical line down my scans and copies that are feeding by automatic feeding (8610 Office Pro HP all in one)

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copying or scanning using auto flow only.  It works very well on the flat.

It is now resolved.  It seems that there is a strip of glass that is used for the automatic copy of power and research.  The glass has a note on it that I cleaned which solved my problem of vertical line.
