  • PRI all-in-one HP Deskjet 3520: Deskjet 3520 printer all-in-one copy, but will scan and print computer

This printer has always worked well... used only occasionally. The cartridges are fine.  Everything prints out fine computer, it scans very well, but does not copy.  Looks like it's copy, but shot out a blank page.

Welcome to the HP community @273frustrated,.

I understand that your 3520 Deskjet is no copy making more correctly however, you can print and scan without a problem. I will do my best to help! I might be far away but I suspect that there could be a problem with the printhead and it printing black ink. I say this because when you print from your computer, normally the ink colors mix to create a composite black, and when you print copies, it's only the black ink cartridge that is used.

I want you to try a power reset and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

    Turn on the printer.
With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • 3520 printer does not print black more

    Hello

I bought my 3520 printer about 1.5 months now, installed everything and it worked perfectly. Made a few prints but stopped using it because I was moving house. I wanted to print something yesterday and all of a sudden without black fate. I did a testprint in various colors and everything came out perfectly but not black.

I don't know if it might have something to do with it, but when I tried to print the printer yesterday gave an error and there was a piece of paper stuck in the machine. When I got it there was a spot of black ink, about 1 cm in diameter. I cleaned the print heads but still nothing?

    I hope someone can help!

    Hi Cassandra

I would contact HP telephone support, the printer is old one 1.5mths it is probably still under warranty. You may need a replacement. Can you please let us know how you get on?

    Hi @Barrry

    A few ideas come to mind. It seems that the question has something to do with the software. Let's first run the printer Installation Wizard because it could detect that something is missing and help to fill the gaps;

  • Failure 0 x 61000031 for HP Deskjet 3520 printer?

I'll put up my HP Deskject 3520 for the first time. Configuration information that I indicate that I am supposed to connect the HP printer, install the print cartridges and then turn it on. The printer display reads "printer failure 0 x 61000031 ' there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If you continue to receive this message, contact HP.

I tried to turn the printer off and turning back on it (both connected to the computer with a USB cable and not). I always get the error message. The printer gives me even the screen to try a print test, calibrate, cartridges etc. When I try to lift the lid to check the cartridges, the printer indicates that the ink cartridge door is open, but it does not move the cartridges where I can take a peak at them. I just bought this printer today. Am I right in thinking that I should just take it back to the store and exchange for a new one?

Given that the error occurs regardless of whether the USB cable is connected to my computer and that I myself never even at the stage where I could wireless configuration, I kind of doubt that it is important what operating system I use. However, if it's important, I use 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1.

    Hi polkadotorchid,

The error is caused by the mechanism of cartridge which is stuck to its original position.

Is it possible to manually move this mech postiion home cartridge toward the center of your printer?

  • HP 3520: printer installation

I use wireless connections.  I have laptop Azus and laptop Samsung.  I have two printers, HP3520.  One is installed and can be used with portable Azus.  I want another printer to be used by other computers.  I'm unable to install.  Please notify.

    Hey @DDMogavero,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Because your computer Windows 8.1 is not 'see' your wireless HP Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one when you try to "Add a printer" I will you have to make sure that your Deskjet is on the same network as your computer Windows 8.1. Can I please you follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Check of connectivity:

    1. tap Wireless on the front panel of your Deskjet:

    2. you should now see your IP address and SSID show. Please take note of the IP address.

    3. on your Windows 8.1 computer, open your internet browser. In the address bar of you please enter the IP address. Do not include the www.

    4. search this site. A Web site for your printer should now open.

    • If the site opens correctly: This proves with 100% certainty that your printer and your computer communicate on the wireless network. Please go to step 3 below.
    • If the Web site for your printer fails to open successfully: This indicates that your printer and your computer communicate wirelessly. Please check on your computer and that you are connected to the same network name SSID to which your printer is connected to. Do not connect to networks 'comments'. In addition, please do not connect to a connection of 5 GHz. Printers are supported only on the connections of 2 ghz. If you don't know what your router is broadcasting: 2 GHz or 5 GHz, you may need to speak with your router manufacturer.

If your credentials wireless are good, but you are still not able to access the site of printers (browser EWS) follow the steps below.

    4. Choose 'Yes' to restore the default values

    1. Please click here to download the drivers for your printer
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the screen to install your printer
    4. Select the "Connect through a network"
    5. When prompted, plug the USB cable
    6. Once the wireless connection has been configured successfully you will be asked to disconnect the USB cable

    Test wireless printing.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • DeskJet 3520 - print Invitations

I use a HP Deskjet 3520 on a Windows 7 PC. I am currently trying to print an invitation 5.5 "x 8.5" on Word 2010 and little matter the customizations that I try to do through word itself or the properties of the printer, the output prints still on the right side. Anyone know how to fix this?

Don't forget that my printer load paper of smaller size to the center of the status bar rather than the left or right. Any help would be appreciated... !

Daniel, from what you describe, you try printer 5.5 * 8.5 paper, however, the printer is not properly align printing with paper that you use. Is this correct?

First of all, I want to note that after checking the product specifications (link below) that the printer you have does not have 5.5 * 8.5 paper listed as some supported paper sizes (check under management specifications of the paper).

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03274848

Now, beyond that, after the centering of paper in the paper in the printer tray, you've been through both the program that you are using to print and the printer preferences (usually listed as 'Préférences' or 'Printer Preferences' in the print window) to make sure that you use paper size has been designated? The information must match both of what the computer sends and the printer expects to receive.
