1st problem: yesterday I started getting a popp window with the text following formulation - "there is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1' I have no idea what this introduced him or how stop it.  Any suggestions?

2nd problem: whenever I restart my computer or shut it down and then power up the white bar that moves from left to right only moving to halfway through and then stops. I then have to hold the power button in until the computer turns off again and then rehit the power button. When it starts to power back up the white bar is always in the Middle, but then begins to finally complete the passage to the far right of the box. This problem started when I loaded the software for my printer Canon MX870 new that I bought and installed in October 2010 and has been done since then. I removed and reloaded the software of the printer on three different occasions but the problem persists.

The ASUS drive has yet to play a disc on this particular machine. Whenever I try to play a Blu - Ray, I get the error "unsupported disk in the drive." I did the following:

-J' tried Corel WinDVD 9 Plus, same error 'is Disc.... »

-The works of car well on a machine I built with windows XP 32 bit SP2 and running an evaluation version of powerDVD 10. On the first blu - ray I've tried, he asked in what area I would set my player (a, B, C). I haven't seen such a screen on the above 64 bit computer, even after that fresh installs of windows 7 on the other drives.

-Following the steps on this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461

As you can imagine, it is frustrating and draining. My skill level is high with the material, but I am really confused.

I use PowerDVD 10 Standard, which is supposed to read blu - ray discs...

Link n ° 1 says "hardware changes may not be detected!" after the execution. No change to playback of blu - ray, I always get this message from PowerDVD 10: "There is a disc with a format not supported in drive D:"

Second link gave the final "could not identify the problem.

The region settings tab does not appear when I go into Device Manager. I get general, Volumes and driver details.

Bringing the window even for my second DVD drive (LITE-ON DVD/CD Writer black SATA model iHAS424-08) makes performance a DVD region. The region is set to 1, with 4 changes remaining. However, do not use blu - ray region #, they use region A, region b... no such parameter does not appear in any window of properties of material I have seen yet.

The third link you posted also gave the same results: no DVD region setting is available for the reader that is supposed to read blu - ray discs.

I had almost the same problem on almost the same system with almost the same software.

I get an error message whenever I insert my pen drive or memory card in my laptop. The error message is "regsvr.exe - no disk there is no disk in the drive." Insert a disk in the drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR1. There are only three options - Cancel, Try Again and continue. None of them works. I have to manually stop the system to get rid of it. Please help me get rid of this error message for always. Your response to this regard will be highly appreciated. Cordially Sashwat

    Hello, Sashwat

If possible, test the drive in another computer and check if you are able to access or not. If this is not the case, the drive may be bad.

If it's a USB card with an SD card reader, rather than a dedicated, flash drive check if the card is recognized and accessible in other drives/devices. Also, check the metal contacts on the card to make sure that nothing is blocking the metal contacts. If the card cannot be read in other devices and contacts are clean, the card is likely bad.
If other devices can access the drive, but not by the card reader, the card reader could be bad.

    Hi Robert,.

Thanks for the screenshot of your system information.

As you can see in the screenshot, on the right side, the Description indicates that this is a CD-ROM drive, it means that it's a player-CD (Read Only Memory) which can only read the discs, but cannot write data to the disk. You may need to replace it with a CD/DVD burner drive for read/write drives.

Hope this information is useful. If you have any additional questions on the issue, please post back, we will be happy to help you.

I got this message after installing BitDefender antivirus.
It turned out to be partly because of WinPatrol - who had not been uninstalled.
And the program uninstal delete his entry autostart nor its program file.
Which has supported, manually, the end of the message...
But I guess that's not specific to WinPatrol, which is an excellent monitor if it is not in conflict with the antivirus.  (It worked well alongside Avast.)
