An undesirable network connection is disconnected

I had a problem with my wireless due to another network card, communicate with her.  I noticed that there are two other networks of communication with my adapter besides the one I put up.  How can I remove the undesirable two networks?

Hi Rfire39

You can delete the unwanted connection as follows:

1. use your mouse to click on the start menu, and then select Control Panel.
2. click the button on "Network and Internet" Control Panel and select network and sharing Center.
3. click on the tab "manage network connections".
4. find the unwanted network connections that you want to remove in the scroll bar. According to the number of connections you currently have in Windows Vista, it is possible that you need to scroll a bit to find the one you want to delete.
5. click on the unwanted connection you want to remove.
6. click on the button 'delete '.
7. confirm your selection by pressing 'Yes' when asked if you are sure you want to remove the connection. You can also choose to press 'Cancel' or 'No' to return to the previous screen and prohibit the removal of the connection.
Note that you can also change the network through the Network Wizard. Simply click on start, then "Connect To" and "show all connections".
8. Select the network connection you want to change by clicking right on it and selecting the option you want. You can choose 'Disable' the connection, which would roughly have the same effect that completely removing, making it inactive.
9. press the button "Delete" after clicking on a network connection in the network connection window. This will completely remove the connection in the same way that detached from the control panel.

Just for my own interest, under the "network and sharing" Section, it says "View Your Active Networks" and there is a blue link next to him to "connect or disconnect."

By clicking on the blue link just brings a list of networks connected and disconnected or by clicking this link actually modifies the network connection status to disconnect?

I was under the impression that the only way to disconnect a network by clicking on 'Connect to the Local network' and clicking on "Disable" under the setting "activity".

    Thank you very much.

Here are answers to your query:

Q1. Yes. When you click on the blue link 'Connect or Disconnect', it will bring up a list of cable networks and wireless, connected or disconnected.

Q2. Once you click on the link 'connect or disconnect', it will open the network Flyout.

Q2A. It is not separate from Network Flyoutto display the list of networks. For you to access, you must click on the link 'connect or disconnect' blue.

When suspend my Satellite Pro U400 and after reboot to continue working I lost my network connection. Then I shut down my computer and disconnect/connect Dynadock I can continue working.

    What is the problem?

    Hello

I see that you have switched from Vista to XP.

First of all I recommend you update the BIOS.
As I m not wrong on the European driver Toshiba page, you should find a newer version of the BIOS.

You will need to upgrade Win XP to the last State.
The XP must be up-to-date and all service packs, hotfixes and patches MS must be installed in your laptop.

Access the Device Manager, and then score in each USB hub root, you must disable the option called allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
You can find this option in the properties-> tab power management

I lost my network connection and I don't know where to go to fix it. If anyone has an idea where ho to continue, I have tried so many stage already that I am at a loss... Help

My computer semi regularly acted by the loss of my internet on a whim. Basically, it can detect WIFI, no problem, shows the strongest signal for her also. just tells me that it cannot connect to WIFI when I try (even if he can ask me the password and can tell if I use one bad)

    I can't reprocude the question

No significant changes to my computer because the issues started happening.

    Simple steps:

-Recovery (before the first event) system does not alter

-Router and modem are not the issue

-Could you find not updated driver anywhere (even though this does not mean that they do not exist, but having only no internet with the pc makes it particularly tricky - also HP does not provide the )

    -Power management wasn't the question

-J' tried forget network the many times this problem has occurred. He has not fixed it.

    Additional troubleshooting showed:

-Reset the Winsock Catalog did not resolve the question more than once (emplying he did the first time I did).

-Reset of TCP/IP, that does not solve the issue more far.

My WIRELESS card is a Broadcom 802.11n

Finally, the only thing that I can see (although I can easily miss something obvious) is my reinstallation of an old printer inkjet EPSON Workforce 545, which I am connected to my WIFI and my PC via USB (why I used wifi since I got cable?...) I do not know) a few days later, people who use the same network reported the act more as usual but I have not noticed anything on my end.

-J' have been disconnected from the network to the printer and stopped using it.

-J' found evidence of his feature wirless allgedly interfere with other devices here (search for entitled Review "bought two units for corn or work")

    Edit 12/04/2016

I ended up having to do a factory reset on my computer for unrelated reasons. To reconnect the original WLAN card, I don't have to use the USB adapter that I bought to solve my problem.

Factory reset works if fails everything else! Solution without after all!

  • Officjet 5740: Network connectivity

My problem is not connecting to my wireless LAN; It is to stay connected. Basically after 20 minutes of non-use, the printer goes to sleep and will not wake-on-lan. I tried pretty much every 'solution' I ran everywhere. Nothing works. I have to physically power cycle the printer to use.

A lot has been posted on this topic over the years, and it seems that no real solution has been found. My question: does anyone know if HP has addressed this issue in an update of the firmware? If this isn't the case, please post recommendations for models that have wol wireless (or even always on would be acceptable) and brands of printers.

Yep, ready to leave the ship. The 5740 is just the slice of lastes in a chain of printers that featured a wireless connectivity.

    Thanks in advance.

I think my problem is solved since my D110a maintained a wireless network connectivity (wakes when called) simply by changing the settings of the printer. As indicated, the 5740 doesn't give me that option (most of the HP of Don't). Since my first post, I decided to take a chance that HP sent this long issue in their last line of printers, so I replaced the unit with an Officejet 3830 using the printer settings and the default router. So far so good. No problem at all.

In the end, my conclusion is that the 5740, as many of it's predecessors, was undesirable.

    Thanks for trying though.

  • An error occurred while renewing interface wireless network connection: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request a expires.

I use an Acer Asspire One with Windows XP. We have wireless through AT & T Uverse. The netbook has an Atheros AR5007EG Ethernet card.

A number of things have taken place lately: I had not used the Acer for some time and the battery was dead and would not recharge. I could book until when it was plugged, but could not get on the Internet. I found online that the solution to the battery problem was to download a new bios that worked wonderfully and it is now loaded. Recently, our AT & T router died and was replaced. I put the new WEP keys in two other computers, and they connect to the Internet. I can't connect to the Internet with the Acer. I tried ipconfig / renew and get the error message: "an error occurred during renewal of the wireless network connection interface: unable to contact your DHCP server.» Request a expires. No operation can be performed on Local area connection while it has its media disconnected. "On the tab"Choose a wireless network", it shows my network and said"absorbing the network address"but nothing happens. When I do ipconfig I see that there is no IP address.
I took the computer to Starbucks this morning, ran ipconfig / renew and she acquired the IP address and I was able to connect to the Internet. I brought the computer home and tried and failed to connect. The IP address is back to 0.0.0.0 and the error message appears when I try to renew it.
I hesitate to make a lot of changes since it was working with a different network.

I'm looking for a link to XP SP1 does not require a network connection to install

Were you recently doing a Clean Install? I ask because you are implying in your installation of Windows XP is in 'gold' or SP0 (i.e., pre - SP1) level. Well sure, automatic updates will not work!
You can use this path to level – says in passing:
Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS!
    Here are the detailed instructions:

    1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

    http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus

    2. disconnect Internet.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

    4. install SP2. Restart twice.

5 install the SP3. Restart twice.

6 switch to IE8. Restart twice.

    7 install an Antivirus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

10 re - enable automatic updates.

After the back if you need guidance.
