Audio problems in Windows 8 gateway computer

It started a month ago, but then it worked again so I forgot, but it happens one more time and more often.

I ran convenience store who finds no problem, in fact the system restore, is that the driver had need of an update, even reinstalled the driver (he worked for a few days and then stopped again), checked the 'allow applications to take control of this device', and when I try to test the speakers it says that the device is in use. Windows Media Player no longer works. Whenever I restart my computer it will work for a few minutes and then cut out again, but when I go to Device Manager it says everything is working properly.

I feel like I did everything and nothing seems to work.

If anyone can help solve me this problem would be great, because I don't have the money to buy another computer.

I have a laptop Gateway NE56R41u if that will help you.

Original title: I can't get my sound to work?

I finally took to the repair shop today and it turned out that I had programs on my computer that was playing with the sound. These programs were iOrbit (Advanced System Care) and Free Youtube Downloader. They the uninstalled and everything works correctly, so the problem is solved.

  • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

There has been no official driver published this work in Windows 7 64 bit. It works fine in 32-bit, windows 7, and using different drivers from other sources + partial + fix can be found.

    Using these drivers:

When the S/PDIF cable is removed the internal speakers make noise for a fraction of a second, then silence.

I tried everything and this issue has been around for months and months, but no perfect solution seems to exist. I was wondering if there is a way to update the drivers of the HD Audio Controller, integrated in Windows 7. Or maybe a hack that allows the internal speakers continue to work (they work for one second!)

  • Audio problem with WIndows 8 OS of the beats on the Pavilion DV6-6109tx

Hello! First of all, my apologies if I posted in the wrong section or the bad, hp support forum do not know where to post.

Now, coming to the point, encircled sliders Beats Audio Control Panel do not work as shown in the attached snapshot, makes no difference at all.

Since I couldn't find Windows 8 drivers for my laptop model (very strange since I saw older models, getting divers to windows 8, but not my model), I tried different drivers but none of them work.
These are audio driver packages I've tried:
    sp58226.exe

    sp59154.exe
    sp59861.exe

Without these parameters of non-working is terrible.

So if anyone can help me, I'll be really grateful.

    Thank you.

Just to note, it does not appear that this unit has been certified for Windows 8.

This site gives an idea of what to expect during the upgrade to Windows 8.

The only step I can recommend at this stage is to install the driver of Windows 7 BEATS being related to the driver software audio compatibility mode.

    1. Download this driver.

    2. run the download when it's over. Follow the instructions and you should get a screen that asks you where to save the files. The default value must be c:\swsetup\sp55094. Take note of the destination on the screen. Click next and must complete the extraction process.

    3. after extraction, it opens a new window for installation. Cancel this window.
Navigate to the folder of extraction.

    4. in this folder, find the real Installer. This is usually setup.exe. Right click on this file and select troubleshoot compatibility.

    5. follow the resolution of compatibility issues by selecting automatic options.

    6. one of the Setup screens will be a button for test program. Click here to begin the installation.

    7. Once completed, it must be installed in compatibility mode.

This will give the best chance of success. If it does not, then it's a deeper problem of compatibility as Windows 8 driver architecture is different from Windows 7.

    Hi there @Alexcpp,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.

You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.

Another possibility is to make some adjustments on your system, just in case there is another driver or software that interferes with the audio, which could cause problems of lag. You can try the search, even if these: computers HP - computer is slow (10 Windows), HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers.  They are never a waste of time because often there is something that could help the overall performance of the system.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Audio driver for windows XP problem

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Ideas: I can not load my driver for audio. Windows has apparently a patch called audio function UAA for HD driver. Can I download it from the internet, but I don't know how to install it in the zip file

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

What brand/model computer do you have?   What type/model of your audio card/chipset?

I recommend that you get Microsoft OS patches only from the Windows XP Update tool:

    1. Beginning
    2. Control Panel
    3. Look in the see also group
    4. Click on Windows Update
If you get the OS patches from anywhere other than:
    1. The MS Windows XP Update Site
    2. Your computer manufacturer Web site
    3. or
    4. Your card device or Web sites
you run an unacceptable risk for malicious software.  As far as I know, Microsoft puts all its pilots on the "Windows Update" site, which should be accessible from the control panel.
