Aurora R5 m2 bios settings

Hi all

Is about to install a Samsung Pro 950 512 GB NVMe as my boot drive. Does anyone have the BIOS setting which are necessary to do this? I guess that all NVMe would have the same settings, so if you don't have a Samsung post them anyway.

Thank you

Hello

The Samsung Pro 950 512 GB NVMe is not compatible with this computer. And to put in place an SSD as boot drive, you just need to change the boot priority in the BIOS.

    Hello

Are you sure you didn't put any user or supervisor password?
Usually, you can remove it by using the password of Toshiba utility.

In Toshiba Assist-> Secure, you will find the supervisor password and user password option.

Remove these passwords in order to obtain full access to the BIOS settings

  • Re: Satellite C850 and UEFI BIOS settings

    I have laptop Satellite C850 - 1 2 with Windows 8.1

When I boot, it shows a toshiba logo, not the original flag 8 Windows. It is not so much a problem, but I can't change because the parameter is blocked within the parameters of the UEFI. How can I change this?

I already tried to change through the windows in different ways, but each time it will change the UEFI!

    Help?

To be honest I don't know what to do, you mean with blocked settings, but it can be changed in the BIOS settings.
What you need is to make complete OS stop http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and after having done that, you can restart the laptop and enter the BIOS (try F12) settings and then you can change all the settings of the BIOS.

It's really good that you posted this question. So far on this forum many people ask the same questions, but all have been at the origin of new machines of Win8.
Now we have the situation with the old machine Win7 but with Win8 preinstalled.

Solution for other people needed to proceed to a complete stop and after doing this, it was possible to enter the BIOS settings. Check it please http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm

This situation does not for me so here's a question for you:
When you start your laptop, I guess you can see the Toshiba start screen. With F2 option is shown on the bottom of the screen?

From my point of view of the defective material, any party may cause the described problem.
Even only one defective memory card could prevent the laptop to boot the system.
Of course, also the dysfunction of the BIOS EPROM module would prevent execution of the power on self test and ultimately, it would mean that laptop may not illuminate correctly.

I think that there is no general solution... parts must be checked; one by one.
In the worst case, there is a motherboard problem and I think that in this case it s not worth to fix the unit because of the high cost of motherboard.

  • Satellite C55 - A - 19(d) - how to enter the BIOS settings?

    Hello

I recently bought a * laptop Satellite A-C55-19 D * with no operating system preinstalled, so I installed Windows 8.1.
My problem is that * I can't get to the BIOS menu *.
I turn on the computer, but I can't see any invitation to "press F2 to enter setup". I get only a screen that has just the + Toshiba Leading Innovation > + notice, then the Windows 8 points of spinning...
I could type or hold F2, F12, ESC, DEL, but nothing is coming. I also tried to press the Fn + F2 key combination.
What I have to enter the BIOS setup?

    Thanks in advance!

Proceed to a complete stop as described here - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
After that restart your laptop, and then press F12. There you should be able to enter the BIOS settings.

    Check it out.

    Hello Derek

Use the F2 key to enter the BIOS settings and change the order of boot devices. This option is under the STARTUP tab. Otherwise, you can insert the recovery CD when the unit is turned OFF. Turn it on and immediately press the C button. keep it down for a few seconds and unit is forced from the CD/DVD drive.

  • HP EliteBook 850 G3: The HP EliteBook 850 G3 Bios settings

    Hello

For the moment, we have a problem with our new business laptops (HP EliteBook 850 G3)

We deploy our systems with SCCM 2012 R2 (Client: windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit)

In the task sequence, apply us our image, install driverpacks, change the bios settings and a few general settings.

The deployment of the HP EliteBook 850 3 works fine, but there is a problem with the settings of the bios.

    Our steps are as follows:

1 clear possible Bios passwords (works well)

    2. set the Bios password (works well)

    3. apply the settings of the default Bios that does the following.

-Change the boot order (works well)

    -Activate the TPM (works well)

-some other default settings that all work well

After the settings are applied, the system will restart.

After the restart, there is a quick called Tpm Ppi

A Configuration change has been asked to clear the TPM on the computer

WARNING: Compensation erase the information stored on the TPM. You lose all created keys and access to data encrypted by this key.

    Press F1 = accept

    Press F2 = rejection

In all our other models it looks like parameters the following parameters:

    Activation of embedded security policy
    F1 at startup
    Allow the user to reject
    * No prompt
    TPM activation policy
    F1 at startup
    Allow the user to reject
    * No prompt

    TPM activation policy
    Allow the user to reject
    * No prompt

I can't find this setting in the Bios of HP EliteBook 850 G3.

We do not want the BIOS to Prompt for the F1 after activating the TPM module.

I hope there is a solution to do this, cause our systems don't deployment without pressing the F1 key during the task sequence.

    Friend Lennard

    Hello

Please check that you use the latest version of BiosConfigUtility.exe (4.0.13.1) and that laptop computers are running the latest version of the system BIOS (1.04).  This should fix the problem.

  • BIOS settings hidden on Satellite P100

Finally a new BIOS is available! Sweet!

Hmmm, but my problems remains, graphic fan never turns in slow motion... The strange thing is that, just after the update bios 4.10 to 4.20 my fan chart is idling :) but after the reboot, the question remains?

I have the latest Intel chipset driver installed and the driver Nvidia provided by Toshiba.

    For example:
    1: enter the Bios (4.20)
2: change the setting of thermal control in silent mode
    3: F10 = "save and exit".
4: enter new bios, the thermal parameters is defined as hoped. Ok!
5: loading windows vista OS, select reboot when the first screen displays "enter password"
6: enter the bios at startup, now the heat is set to Preformans mode new?

The next thing! How to open the 'Advance' bios hidden settings AOpen phones is by pressing ctrl + F1 to bios main window. How to do the same thing with Pheonix? I tried Alt + Ctrl + D, Alt + Ctrl + Esc and Alt + Ctrl + Ins (the common procedure of Penonix Bios according to www.safeit.se/support/faq/blancco.html)

    Concerning

    Hello

As far as I know that there is no hidden BIOS settings. If something like that persists is certainly not for public use. ;)

Graphic fan I can't say much but please make sure you only use supplied drivers Toshiba. Dong do you're definitely on the safe way.
