Behavior of directory IX5000

Hello

I have what may seem like a simple question, but I am unable to find confirmation anywhere.

We have an IX5000 who receives a global directory of CUCM and I wonder if the following behavior is correct.

We select the directory and see a white page with a search box, the entries are displayed only when we start typing in the search box.

Is this expected behavior, or should I see a list of entries when the first telephone directory page without starting a search.

See you soon

Hey David,

This is an expected with the IX5000 behavior. Currently, directories only IX media NODES which is a search based directory, which means that, until you actually start typing in the search field, you will see all the results.

Support for directories TMS and Favorites (abbreviated) is in preparation.

  • Directory IX5000

    Hello

    I understand that maybe a simple question for some people so I hope that there may be a quick response to my question here.

    The long and short of this is I want to add a directory to the IX5000 installation which is not drawn as part of the global directory / corporate to the call manager.

    The reason is that we have a deployment centered on the VCS which is managed by TMS that where all of our systems have URI, the URI system is not visible on the IX5000 which is registered to call the Manager.

    We have relevant trunk between the CUCM cluster and the VCS cluster setup so the routing of calls is there, but the room users are unable to see the systems.

    How can I add a specific system to an IX5000 directory, I can complete this via a personal phone book, or are there other ways?

    See you soon

    Dave

    Appears that the IX5000 series only supports the UDS via CUCM telephone directories, see ix5000-Directory-behavior. I checked and original research I could not find anything to indicate if she supports the TMS as a source directory still in areas indicated by Chad in the linked thread.

  • Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

    I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

    -J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

    -J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

    -This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

    -Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

    -Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.

    This raises several questions:

    -In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?

    -Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?

    -What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?

    -What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).

    -How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.

    Could someone explain what is exactly happening?

    With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

    My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

    If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.

    All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

    ~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

    I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

  • antivirus quarantined files in the directory of firefox as a malware program files

    These 3 files have been quarantined as viruses or Trojans heuristics:
    libegl.dll
    nssdbm3.dll
    webapprt - stub.exe

    All 3 files are in the directory program files for firefox. Once these files have been quarantined, and tried to launch FF I got error:

    Could not initialize the safety component of the application. The most likely cause is problems with files in the files of your application directory. Please check that this directory has no restriction of read/write and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you leave the app and solve this problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see the incorrect application behavior when you access security features.

    Once I click OK it opens FF but it won't open the home page. I want to be sure that these are in fact FF program files and not a virus trying to wreak havoc on my laptop. Thank you.

    Unfortunately, I can not add troubleshooting information as I'm in THE writing of this since I can't open FF.

    Hello szzqz, yes judging by the names of single file, these are the files that come with firefox and which are necessary for normal operations - so it is very likely that it is a false positive of your antivirus software. just to be sure, please download the full version of firefox for your new system from the official source to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and install it on top of your current installation, which will replace the missing files.

  • Behavior of music Apple tenacious with a few songs from an album.

    I'll give you all the real names of the artist and album to help make it clear what behavior annoying that I see. I have a live DVD of John Elton called One Night Only and I ripped the audio myself, the intention is to download songs and listen to them just the music (not video). I have all the songs, one by one, identified and correctly tag (mp3id tag). 27 songs in total. I then go to iTunes and make library/Add; point to the directory containing 27 songs and they are added (for my music [local]) without problems. right afterwards, they are uploaded to Apple music. So far so good. If I listen to ANY track on iTunes, I get the right song.

    I then point my iPhones (two of them) my library of Apple's music (both have iCloud library on) and tell them to download all the songs (for offline listening). MOST of the songs is properly stored, but SOME are replaced by the STUDIO VERSIONS of the same song. 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and 'Your Song' are two of them. Only 4 of the 27 songs have that effect.

    PLEASE HELP ME! I'M GOING NUTS!

    Thank you!

    Have you tried to give the titles of the odd names? I remember reading somewhere that someone had tried it with success.

  • Search by program insertion directory

    Hi Ppl,

    I tried to programmatically insert a search directory. I used the Engine.SearchDirectory.Insert method. After this method is called, I called the SearchDirectory.Reload method. Despite the call to this method the newly added directory was not displayed in the list of search directories in the sequence editor. When we change Mytypes.ini or other external configurations in the sequence editor, I get the pop up to recharge. But when I inserted search directory, which he has not asked for reloading. I had to reboot sequence for the new directory to be editor. How can I reload without sequence editor to restart?

    Here's the code I used.

    Sirot-

    I think that the behavior you're seeing is expected. When you call the autonomous VI outside TestStand, you create a different instance of the engine. So, you have an instance of the engine in the process of the TestStand sequence editor and an instance of the TestStand engine in the process of LabVIEW.

    Now, when you call SearchDirectories.Reload () on the LabVIEW VI, you say that the LabVIEW TestStand engine instance to reload the SearchDirectories that it has cached in the SearchDirectories the disk, however, this has no effect on the motor TestStand sequence editor instance.

    Now, if you were to call your VI as a code module of a sequence that you run in the sequence editor, and you pass the engine as an input for the VI (RunState.Engine), and then you will see the behavior you expect.

    You can also try the following as a test: create open with the sequence editor, run your VI like you have visited. Then, in the sequence editor, run a step that calls RunState.Engine.SearchDirectories.Reload () (if you are in TestStand 4.0 or newer, you can simply call it at a stage of instruction). Then check the search directories... have they updated?

    I hope this helps.

    (1) expanders/collapsers lacked elements of directory in the right panel, and
    (2) all items have disappeared in the right panel.

    Apart from that, Windows Explorer accesses these items in same directory.

    by comparing directories security settings in a non system partition of directories in the system partition, I don't see anything that would cause this behavior.

    configuration:
    Windows XP Professional sp3
    Pentium Dual-Core e5400 2.70 GHz
    3.24 GB of ram

    I discovered that faded are items that the value of the hidden attribute and directories without collapsers/expanders are the value of the hidden attribute.

    Too many times have I given ridiculous people with file names and folders structures.

    You may be able to create a link to a directory close to the files you want to learn to (probably something similar was done by the application that supposedly does this) using something like the old command SUBST to start a directory/drive (or give the impression that even when it starts) at a different point than the original reality (google for the subst command.)

    Thanks for any advice or an index

    Peter

    You want people who re - attach to your network for to re-authenticate.  It's a good thing.  We do not want people using the old credentials, or expose you to a security breach.

    This behavior is by design - and good.

  • Active Directory users are authenticated web-auth (web-auth has only LOCAL users)

    Hello

    I have a model WLC 4404 with software version 4.2.205.0.
    I have 2 SSID: Wireless and invited
    -Wireless: using [WPA + WPA2] [Auth (802. 1 X)]
    -Guests: use Web-Auth

    In the guests of SSID (WLAN-> Edit > AAA security servers I have not all enable server - option there is NOT and not activated-).

    I do not understand that the request for authentication is attempted ONLY locally to the WLC but not in the ACS (ACS has been configured in security-> RADIUS-> authentication).

    When a user authentication Web Page inserts user and password of SSID wireless (users who need to be authenticated in Active Directory via ACS) it is authenticated.

    I need to change this behavior.

    There are a few options depending on what you are using the code.

    6.0 and higher, there is an option in the WLAN directly, select only LOCAL.

    5.2 below, under Radius authentication servers, uncheck the box for the user of the network.  This check box allows the WLC to use the servers in the world, which means that if it is not precisely defined under the WLAN, it can / will still be used

  • TMS directory system endpoints source folder

    Hello

    I came across a rather baffling problem with a few cases of TMS and I can't for the life in me know as to why this is happening.

    I get the following.

    in the option for creating source directory Cisco TMS, I create a new directory and link with the MSDS files and select the folder where all the end points, this creates the entries in the phone book for me as I expect with one exception, I will detail below.

    H.323 = [email protected] / * /

    H.323 = [email protected] / * /< this="" is="" where="" the="" issue="">

    IP = IP address

    I find that on some systems (this doesn't happen to all systems) in the second entry of H.323, the H.323 entry where I expect to see the directory (also known as E.164 number) number I see a URI where a field has been added at the end of the number, I'll give you a few examples below.

    DN = 1234

    set field = @video.net

    random field = @newdomain.com

    IP = 10.10.10.1

    I expect to see the following.

    H323 = [email protected] / * /

    H323 = 1234

    IP 10.10.10.1

    but I don't actually see

    H323 = [email protected] / * /

    H323 [email protected] / * /

    IP 10.10.10.1

    I have purged the TMS systems and added, I searched through the xconfig for the NouveauDomaine which is invalid and I can't find anything anywhere other than on the list of areas configured SIP VCS parameters in the second area, endpoints have disabled by default SIP and in both cases I expect to see that under a SIP entry not an H.323 entry

    This is the origin of the problem of when a user tries to call via the Directory site remote also responds to busy VCS is unable to find the appropriate directory number because the location request contains the domain as well as the DN.

    I worked around this by adding a transform to the VCS who sees the patter of specific numbering and the bands of the area, so the calls work, but I still need to understand as to what is causing this behavior.

    If I had to create the directory entries by importing information from the record of the VCS seem to be correct, its only when I try to import the entries of the endpoint via the system folder in TMS (or more exactly to import the information stored in the file on the endpoint system) I see the problem.

    a very popular Adviser.

    See you soon

    Hello

    Picked up that the case with David and it seemed that at least on the systems the international denomination on the mxp MXP has been configured. The area of intellectual property also has a configured domain uri that has caused the other symptoms. We where able to erase the questions but still yet to see if the client is actually affected by the same configuration "mistakes".

  • ACS 5.3 - Active Directory - limiter/DCs use to auth

    Hi all

    I have a Cisco ACS server deployed for GANYMEDE and RADIUS authentication for end-users.

    Everything works fine, it is joined to the domain, most of the time people can auth. However, it seems that the ACS is trying to auth against * ANY * DC in my field.

    DNS.findsrv FindSrvFromDns runs and draws from each domain controller to use. Not all of them are accessible or not fo all of them have the same structure of the user.

    Is there a way to specify or limit/control which domain controllers are queried?

    Hello

    Unfortunately at this point there is no way to control which DC should be questioned by the AEC. The ACS will retrieve all the available DC on your AD domain name and contact one of them.

    An enhancement request is already listed and developers are working to include the feature on future versions. Here is the information:

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCte92062

    ACS should be able to query only the desired domain controllers

    Symptom:
    Currently in 5.0 and 5.1, the ACS queries the DNS with the field, in order to get a list of all the domain controllers in the domain and then try to communicate with each other. If the connection to even one domain controller fails, the connection of the CSA to the field is declared as failed. Many clients ask about this behavior change.
    It should be possible to define which domain controllers to contact and/or make GBA to interpret the DNS resource records registered by the domain controller Active Directory to facilitate the location of domain controllers.  Active Directory uses the service locator, or SRV, records. A SRV record is a new record described in RFC 2782 DNS type and is used to identify the services located on a network of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Conditionsof :
    Domain with multiple domain controllers were some are not accessible from the security constraints given ACS / geographical. Workaround:
    Make sure that all domain controllers are upward and accessible of the ACS.

    Hope that clarifies it.

    Kind regards.

    You may need to create a new source of the phone book and telephone directory and set this before you link to the phone book that the information may already be stored in the existing directory.
