BlackBerry BIS Z10

Why the BIS is arrested in South Africa?

Hello

Carriers are in complete control over the services they offer. BB10 has been totally redesigned to no longer require that BIS and functions via a 'normal' package In some markets, which means the loss of some things (e.g. use of BIS unlimited internet, etc.). In other markets, this means a gain of some things (for example, no longer have to pay double BIS services compared to the "generic" data plans).

Overall, 'why' is a very difficult question has answer... to really know 'why', he must be inside information posses, which of course it would be excluded from the developer.

Good luck!

    Hello

I have submitted to an assessment for the BlackBerry BIS push ID but received no response.  I tried twice and received no response in both cases.  Its been almost 2 weeks since my first attempt, a week since my second attempt.  I have not yet received an email confirmation that my application has been received.  I have double-checkd that messages are not in my junk e-mail folder.

Who should I contact to fix this?  The page asks to push ID does not provide contact information.

FOR INFO.  I got a response after about 2 weeks.    I also had to wait 2 weeks for my production license.  So day 2 working felt on their page is bad.  Expect to wait 2-3 weeks.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Apps on Blackberry BIS - domain address custom synchronize calendar or Contacts with BIS

    Hello

I need to sync my Google Apps with my Blackberry 9900 OS 7

My company moved all our emails, place to stay in Google Apps - Gmail/Contact/calendar

and we use our own domain name for our emails (for example. [email protected]) with Google Apps - Gmail

When I tried to configure my email to company (for example. [email protected]) on the BIS to setup email, they are not able to detect my email of company is a Google Apps account and I need to manually enter my mail server, which is 'imap.gmail.com '.

Only with manual configuration, I am able to properly configure my business email Google Apps with BIS account.

BUT I am still unable to sync my calendar GoogleApps and contact, because there is no OPTION for me to 'Tick '.

But with my own personal e-mail account (for example: [email protected]), I am able to sync calendar and contacts on the BIS to facility Web site.

My question is, why is there a difference? Since the two e-mail addess domain (@abc.com and @gmail.com) are with GoogleApps - Gmail service.

Hope someone in Blackberry can help to answer this question and so it will be differently will strengthen the confidence or feature added to maintain the trust of the Blackberry users.

  • Massive problems of Smartphones blackBerry with BlackBerry BIS AppID World after passage of provider

    Hello

I recently changed suppliers and got a bunch of different problems since then. The old provider deleted my BIS account, which of course also disabled the functionality of messaging push on my BlackBerry. I tried to register a new account with my new provider, which has failed for unknown reasons. After several calls to my new hotline providers, they finally suggested to reset my BB to factory default and try saving again. After resetting, pretty much the first thing I was invited with was connecting BlackBerry id I used my old login and just after that, in the Mail Setup dialog box, got the error once again that there is a problem with the application server and I can't create or open a session with a BIS account. I was wondering how he could know my BIS account, so I made an another factory reset and this time created a new BlackBerry ID. This time everything went well past the new BIS account was created in a few seconds and a test mail was delivered to my device immediately. I was happy enough, until I noticed that I could not restore all my data of BlackBerry Protect because of the new BlackBerry ID. Also all my applications were gone from App World, which is linked to the BlackBerry ID as well. So what I was wondering is now

    (1) why did my BIS account linked to my BlackBerry ID,.

    (2) how can I remove the link it and use my new BIS account with my old BlackBerry ID and

    (3) if I can't do it, how can I get my BlackBerry Protect and App World purchases return data?

I would have preferred the first two questions were answered, because I do not know to change providers and, therefore, accounts of BIS is a fairly common thing, so there must be some make it right, right? I hope that there is a way to solve this problem, because if I have to choose between 'keep apps but live without email' and ' have push email and redeem all applications ", I would probably choose Android instead.

PS: I also tried to find a way to contact RIM, so they could disassociate my old account my ID BlackBerry BIS somehow, but there is really no such thing as "BlackBerry Support". The only thing I found was a button on the page of the App World for a refund etc, but then again, the link was dead.

Just a brief update in case that someone else gets desperate as me. After the last response from sdgardne (a big thank you, btw) I had given up hope, because I didn't want to waste any more time with incompetent personnel of my ISP. But in a last shot I've collected a bunch of addresses email on the web I thought somehow on the RIM support/customer relations and sent an email describing my problem to each of them. I didn't really do anything, but after two or three days, I got a response. A big very nice person said "that is not a problem at all, we have corrected your account. Everything you have to do now is to make a backup, security - wipe your smartphone and connect with your old ID BlackBerry. "That's what I did, and it all works perfectly, with my new BIS account AND my old apps hour

    Way to go RIM!

  • Security of Smartphones Gmail blackBerry BIS and gmail app

    Hi all

I have a few questions on the application of gmail (probably not in the right place) and using gmail on BIS (native client for bb so).

First of all I would like to know if the data I send bis thru using the configuration of the phone messaging is encrypted to the server, as far as I understand the route is blackberry ==> provider ==> BIS ==> google ==> BIS ==> provider ==> blackberry servers, now are my password and mails encrypted during all this? I mean is all encrypted even after she passed through bis?

Secondly, if anyone knows I would like to know how gmail don't (m.google.com/mail) about encryption enforcement, I see in its parameters always "use secure connection" which should mean its all encrypted according to political right google?

Finally, if I used the gmail (google) app would always need a BIS subscription or just an internet connection would be nice?

I want to know is that mail Blackberry can be a little more uncomfortable for me because of the connection is slow, but I still want to be sure, only I noticed, is that newspapers BIS on my account gmail (pretty normal tho).

I see this has been discussed in the past, but he has never been a definitive answer, and I think (not tried however) this package sniffing brings me one either.

    Thanks in advance

PS: I hope that you will forgive the noobness, relatively new to BlackBerry, and since my carrier offers mobile internet and BIS in separated packages, I am a little lost.

  • BlackBerry BIS for BB Z10 Z10

    Hello

I'm going to buy a BB Z10 as a gift, but it's going to serve in Kosovo, where network operators do not support the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS). I said to carphone warehouse could not get connected to the mobile internet because of this.

Can someone tell me if this phone may or may not connect to the mobile internet, cos if not then there is no point buying a.

    Hello lulichaki

BB 10 devices use generic data plan. Not need BIS or Blackberry data plan that which provides for BB OS 7 or earlier models.

With generic data in Z10 plan, you can browse Internet, email, bbm, whatsapp and others.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry extra Z10 provider service remained?

Hello. I aske my provider (T-Mobile Germany) if the additional BlackBerry service you rent for the phones 'classic' as my Bold 9700 is still necessary for the z10. The gal on the phone did not.

    Do you?

    Hello

It is confirmed that BIS is not required for BB10. But, in addition, there is still a lot of differences and things continue to evolve. Carriers must re - work their networks to continue to support the legacy as well as BB10 devices, since each of them works so differently. In this process, we have many different reports.

Some report their carrier telling them they need to keep active on their Z10 BIS until the carrier completes their reconfiguration, moment in which BIS can be deposited. Others say that they cannot get any service on their Z10 if BIS is to all assets with their carrier for their device. Still some other report (both former and BB10) services stop, start, stopping again, then again.

Overall, you need to talk to your specific carrier... they control what is on their network as well as the way that their network is configured.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry bb z10 Z10 does not work

    Dear Sir

I use the smart phone Z10 BB for a year and NOW my phone works do not since 2 days. First hang my BB and than stop. I tried to restart but failed to start, only the RED light flashes when I pressed the power button / stop for 10 seconds. I loaded the external battery charger battery. so please tell me the solution.

    Thank you

    Marie-Laure

    Hello Bernard

    Welcome to the community

Sounds of the battery is exhausted and doesn't have enough power to start. Or you use a functional or bad battery. To determine, try steps below:

Connect to original charger for an hour. After an hour, remove the battery and keep it for 20 minutes. Then reinsert and check if the phone will reboot. If still fail, repeat the steps, but cool for 2 hours. You can also connect to the computer via the USB cable for 30 minutes to an hour in order to have fresh enough to start a wall charger can now be used to completely load the smartphone.

If you try above steps several times but the phone is still unable to power on, then you can think the battery is bad and simply replace the battery with a new and good.

KB below is for your reference:

Completely discharged battery may not charge when 10 BlackBerry smartphone is connected to the charger

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry 10 functions and features can not turn off my Blackberry Protect z10 after changing the password ID.

My wife's phone was last updated the operating system more recent 10.3.2. I then tried to access a service and found when he asked for the Blackberry ID, we had forgotten the issue of password and user. Then I deleted the ID and set up a new. I can connect to the new identification, but he cannot confirm on the z10. Then I thought to wipe the z10 back to factory setting. However; the z10 shows that BB Protect is enabled and we cannot turn it off using the passwords that we try.

I have logged on to the site of BB Protect and found there is no device associated with this Userid. Also, I find the screen for the current user ID name using our existing email address differs from the one showing on the screen z10 Blackberry ID. name I tried to change the screen name and password on the ID to be similar to the z10 site but it will not accept it.

So now I'm unable to wipe the z10, or change the ID info to make it usable when required. I also noticed, online, there are instructions for the new OS 10.3.2 informing us that no wiping ability to Protect is disabled. There is no instructions on how to so that when a problem arises like mine.

    Help, please.

I searched for a solution and I finally found one that works. It was posted by asokhay about a week ago and is as follows:

    "I found the solution!

I connected my passport for Blackberry link and clicked on "back up and restore" in the left navigation tab. Then I clicked on Factory Reset. He asked me to unplug the unit and when I did the wipe of security has started to happen. "

This works, however when I wipe the phone it took about 30 minutes. By reading this forum I found that some wipes can take several hours to complete depending on the amount of material is on the cell phone.  As I could not ' t register anything before this wipe I have to start over from the beginning. " Fortunately my wife added very little to the phone, such as applications or photos.

  • Break blackBerry's Z10, undecided Z30 or LEAP

I use my third BB, a Z10. I'm ready for the continuous upgrade with AT & T.
Don't know if I should buy Z30 or LEAP. My data entry cards BB, BB sport Fitness and some other applications can be transferred to a new BB. I know, contacts and calendar are transferable. Note BB Maps I have 50-100 entries, etc. Would love to have transferred him to a new BB device. Manual rewrite these entries on a Z30 or LEAP could take weeks. Thanks for any response.

UPDATE: I bought BB LEAP used for 8 days now. I transferred all my Z10 with link BB data. All data transferred smoothly including data applications of BB maps and other data entered myself when using some applications. Only disappointment here was that some entries in the BB calendar has not been transferred. EU to re - enter manually takes about an hour. BB OS 10.3.1 has some visual differences of 10.2 on Z10. Its appearance is not very professional appearing every bit as a toy like Android devices. Colors have changed, appearance of data entry has changed also. Even if the NFC is not included on the JUMP I've ever used on the Z10. For me, an easy transfer cable or Bluetooth is fine for me. The screen is clear and sharp. No negative comments. I find the acoustic speaker for a downgrade from Z10 and torch if you listen to music directly from the phone. Metallic sound. At least with Bluetooth, reading in the car, sound is great without going through the terrible rear speaker. With this phone unlocked BB, you can use on most GSM carriers, simply no Verizon and a few other carriers. A blackberry to store ONLY pity and Amazon sells the phone. Thanks Amazon. I am a satisfied user on my fourth Blackberry.

  • BlackBerry dead Z10 Z10...

    Hello

I had my Z10 for about 3 years. From 2 days I can use it as a phone, but not for anything else. Link to Blackberry cannot connect. I tried the following: remove the sim card, reboot, software update, remove link BB and reinstall, taking the battery overnight... It starts and stops correctly, but I can't text, parameters of control, using the browser or all apps.

I called my provider (Fido) and describes the problems and said that I have a dead phone (likely ROM).

As Fido do not BB phones, and I love my Z10, I really hope that someone can suggest something other than swearing. Is there a sequence should I follow to reinstall software/restart + / sim, card + / connected to my PC?

Hello and welcome to the community!

So nothing 2 days ago? An operating system may be updated? A new application? Fall or physically damaged? Something else?

Otherwise, the thing to try is a clean OS reload.

Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

Non-official methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose a version of the OS that maybe your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval:

Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring a backup returns unit corruption even, must be eliminated and reconfiguration from scratch can solve that.

Be aware of the risks of 10.3.2 however... There are two things to worry about. First of all, be 100% sure that you know your BBID identifiers... If you do not, you may make your useless device to anyone, including yourself. Second, once you move to 10.3.2, you cannot fall back to 10.3.1 or earlier, by any medium (for example, even the unofficial AutoLoaders can not overcome this restriction anti-secours).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Help Z10: Security Wipe - > KB33480-> no factory setting

    Hey everybody,

I recently changed my Blackberry on the Z10 account, and I proceeded to do a security wipe. After that, the connection to the computer icon was displayed on the phone. So, I looked on the internet for a solution and kept the same finding: KB33480.

So, I went with the steps, starting with the Blackberry link approach. Having said I reset the phone, he would have check for updates and tell me that:
"There is no available BlackBerry Device Software updates."

Here, the light of my phone is green.

After I closed that, the Green led turns off, the red light quickly, then the unit starts. Logo of blackBerry on the connection to the screen of the computer again.

I can't get this or workaround to work. I'm missing on the process described in step 6 of the workaround:

"The smartphone BlackBerry 10 will now be off itself after 120 seconds. Shortly after the 120 seconds, the BlackBerry smartphone LED should turn green. Continue to wait after the LED lights in green, and you will be asked to install BlackBerry Device Software. Follow the prompts to install the BlackBerry software and once the installation is complete the smartphone leader and is now recovered. »

The update password verification of updates, then goes straight to the no updates found screen instead of installing the software on the phone. Can someone help me please?

Hey everybody. I got my Z10 work after 11 grueling hours trying to fix it. The key to implementation is to make sure that you have installed INTERNET EXPLORER 9 . Other iterations are not guaranteed, and they never worked for me once. I found a computer in my home that I was able to install IE9 on cleanly, then ran workaround. He worked at the beautfully. I'm now enjoying my Z10 a lot.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry locked Z10 Z10 not the mobile phone service provider

My wife and I have a Z30.  When she moved from its old Z10, which became the youth listen to.  They use applications, games and a wi - fi only.  It is not connected to a wireless network now carier.  Children changed his password, and we do not know what it is.  They tried 5 times already, and after 10 unsuccessful attempts, the data are deleted.  How to reset the password for this phone that is not connected to a network now?

First of all, do not have the camera on a support for wireless mobile is not the issue.  This fact is not relevant.

Secondly, the big question is which version of the OS is on the device and if BlackBerry Protect is enabled.  If the device is running a later version of the operating system with the function of protection against theft and if protection is enabled, then the problem is complicated.  And if this is the case, then you must know the password or the device will become useless.*

So, the best cases, anti-theft say are not a factor.  If the device is inviting the user to enter blackberry, then do it and thereafter, you will be able to try again the password.  If you do not know the password and you enter it incorrectly 10 times, the device will wipe away.  And after this - yet once, assuming that the protection against theft is not present or not lit - so you can set up the device again.

    * If the lock is present and active, your only solution is to contact the dealer and see what they can do for you.  Expect to have to provide proof of purchase and identification, i.e. If they salesman can or will help.
