BlackBerry Smartphones User Agent help

Can someone tell me what the user agent should be for a Blackberry Bold 9650 running OS 6?

Thank you

Go to this URL using your BlackBerry browser and it will identify your user agent.

http://www.showmyipaddress.EU/

Since the OS6 browser chooses the best emulation of browser use, indicated will be correct.

    Hi guys,.

I am a first time user, so I have a lot of questions on this BB curve. I bought a second hand curve and I have no idea how to set this phone (only bought the model, it has no manual and accessories). Here are my questions and thanks in advance to those who can answer:

    1. my IP address is 0.0.0.0 - I can connect to the WiFi network but I can't browse the web

2 if I have the program installation/create a bb here id, can I use it on my handheld?

    3. what an erasure of memory wipe exactly and an erasure of memory affect my id card/BBM SIM as well?

    Hi Alex121289

Welcome aboard BlackBerry family and community

First I would like to that you visit BlackBerry 101 and manual BlackBerry Curve - manuals and Guides for getting started

Secondly if you have purchased a device used by one of your friend or any store online then it is always advice to do a security wipe to remove any objects associated with the previous user. You can see this help Article:

KB28225 : BlackBerry Smartphone must be wiped before transferring the security property

    With regard to your questions:

1 carrier little need short data even plan to navigate the Internet, even via wifi. So aske your operator if you need some sort of data plan to your account

4: you can create a new BlackBerry ID on the site Web de BlackBerry ID that you can use on your device, see this KB:

KB24062 : How to create a BlackBerry ID

    3. If you do a security wipe on your device it will remove all the installed user application, e-mail accounts so that your card memory if you insert memory card while doing a security wipe. Yes, it will remove the BlackBerry ID that is already associated with this device, after a wipe, you can use a new BlackBerry ID or even that you use before, but a security wipe has nothing to do with your SIM card.

However... With your query 1"not able to navigate on the internet". Like you bought this device in some cases if your device has a COMPUTER policy then IT can prevent browser so my suggestion... Rather than to do a security wipe you reset your device to factory setting, this will remove all political and helps solve your problem.

Hello and welcome to the community!

You said "hard reset", but I can't tell if you did exaclty or not... Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

In addition, you could try to start in safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

and delete the most recent thing (s) you have installed just before this problem started.

After that, it's an OS Reload try... but we're going to stay on it for the moment.

    Good luck!
    Best!

I rebooted my phone from TONS of time... is there a way to reset the phone?

It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

    Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

  • New curve blackBerry Smartphones user 9320, I need a little help

9320 curve is my first Smartphone after an old style phone. I managed to understand the basics, texts, Internet access, etc. I need a bit of help with the rest, for example, I tried to download a free app, but get the error message 40721 - without put credentials cached.

    (A) what do I have to register my details somewhere to download (even free) applications, where and how?

    (B) I don't have a Blackberry ID, or more precisely do not know what is it.  How is it useful?

Here are my most immediate questions, and I would appreciate a few basic instructions, where and how to...

    Thank you very much

    Hi Woundenberg

I thing your carrier have not activated BlackBerry data Plan aka BIS on your account. BIS is different from a data plan normal, a normal data plan you will navigate on the internet but will not give access to the BlackBerry application. So I prefer to give you a call to T-Mobile for re - confirm whether or not they had allocated BIS on your account.

When BlackBerry data plans are enabled on your device, and then click Manage connections > Service status > = BlackBerry Internet Service it will be " Mobile network ".

Then call T - Mobile and let us know about your updates.

  • New user of blackBerry Smartphones; PDF files; Help

Hello! I can see the PDFs (as attachments in my email address) on my BB 8900 curve but if I wanto to save/download on my device there is a message saying that "PDF files can be viewed in the device.  Is this OK or there is something wrong with my camera? Any suggestions/advice? Thanks to all

    Hello!

There is nothing wrong with your BB. Files PDF is searchable as long they remain as attachments to email. Once that they are disconnected which, they are then a native PDF on your BB - for which you need an application on your BB to read. DataViz ToGo apps have in their Premium package. BeamReader is another application. You can search for what you want.

Good luck and let us know!

  • ID error blackBerry Smartphones: 40730 need help urgent to reset the password *.

    Hi team,

I need help to reset the password for the BB APP world, I logged this site:- https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/main/login.seam?callbackuri=&i=4218081 this link is send me by email a password reset agin to the BB user ID which is (info personal removed) @blackberry.com is my user name. How can I get the password from there when I ask to reset the password.

    Donmenezes wrote:
    Hi guru,.
Thank you for the answer. I followed the entire process, but none the case on all the links there is an option to send the password to reset BlackBerry ID to an external address is e-mail that is for example:-gmail account. I really need some request you please explain myself better.

I think that you read correctly... re-read the Workaround"" section. He said nothing to do anything to your GMail account instead, you must follow the instructions, log into your BIS account (from a PC or your BB... it will be much easier to use a PC well) and activate the automatic redirection of your @bb to your Gmail account. Then return the password reset email, access your GMail account, and you should receive the email to reset it in order to finally use it to solve your problems.

Please follow exactly the instructions and if you don't follow some sections, he cites exactly with what exactly you did and what exactly doesn't work correctly (point by point, please, with all the details). I can't explain that any better unless you are specific about exactly where/how you're stuck.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones really need HELP! Would have someone seen this problem of e-mail...

There are two of us at work using a 8830WE of Blackberry on the network of Telus Mobility with Shaw Cable as our ISP. We use Desktop Manager 4.6 and our device OS 4.2.2.176.

We are the '' ONLY '' BB users in the office and the question that we are expereincing affects only the two of us, so I assume that it is something to do with our BB, or maybe the service BIS (we have no MS Exchange or BES).

Most of the time we use MS Outlook to send the e-mail from our PC instead of using the small keyboard of BB. It said that the below occurs regardless of what device we use for email.

When we generate and send a new e-mail the recipients planned get, however, if they do, that we do not receive their response.

And is the same in the other direction... when someone send us a new email, we receive, but when they do not receive our response, we answer.

I deleted service CMIME book, waited, then cancelled - it does not work.

I have not changed any MS Outlook, BIS or device settings - at least I don't remember changing anything whatsoever.

Help, please. This has happened for two to three weeks. We missed several important answers.

    Thank you

I would like to connect to your BIS site delete and recreate email accounts.

Then select send service directories. You will get the email of activation for all e-mail accounts.

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected, thanks

    Thank you

Don't forget to adjust your thread. Put the check mark in the green box containing your answer! Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones user name and password reset email

Hi, I recently updated my phone and my husband is now to have my Blackberry.  However, I don't remember my user name or password to connect to change the e-mail address with the.  Can someone help me.  I called O2 who cannot help you.  My husband is with TMobile and they cannot help either.  I am now at a loss.  Is there a reset button so we can delete data that is on the phone?

    cldanks wrote:

    Sorta, Yes.

You can wipe the device of all your personal information and get back to almost a factory as parameters... Options > Security > Security > Security Wipe.

If your phone is locked to O2, and he uses it on Tmoible, it will have to be unlocked for use on another carrier. See instructions and the links below.

Then, he will need the BlackBerry data Plan on his Tmobile account and have registered for use on Tmobile THAT PIN/IMEI device. You must have the device PIN and IMEI released from your OS account.

    Good luck.

To determine whether your BlackBerry is already "unlocked":
    1. on your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card.
    2. in this screen type MEPD (see note below) on your keyboard. A new menu will appear.
    3. search for the network in the list.
    4. If your device is "unlocked", we should have disabled or inactive. If it says active, it is still blocked by this carrier.

If you need instructions on how to unlock your BlackBerry for use on a
carrier other than that to which it is brand, check out BlackBerry
    Unlocks him
it of full trust and know to release me from the seller.

and read this link for instructions.

Options - such as the icon homescreen options? Indeed, it would be not good. Suggest the following:

  • BlackBerry smartphones needs DESPERATE HELP!

My daughter for a year, got a hold of my phone today.  She erased ALL MY DATA.  Years of business information is gone!  My phone is locked and I expect she pushed too many buttons.

It's not his fault, but he absolutely ruined my summer and will take months to will still collect some data.

Anyone know of a way that the data can be restored once it has been deleted?

    Help!

I'm sorry my friend as a Windows user, we do not have this problem. However, I remember when I used a Mac (they are awesome... sigh...), I need any Windows application, I ran under VMware Fusion. Which allows me to fill my BlackBerry to the virtual machine with Windows and by extension, the BlackBerry Desktop software.

That said, if you are ever around him, consider buying (or if you happen to have a MSDN subscription, download.) Windows and install under merger (or if possible, in parallel. Make sure that it supports devices gateways directly to the virtual machine if. I've not used at the same time yet). Then you can use the backup and make sure this kind of thing does not happen!

You can also consider to wait (well, you kind of have to now. The BlackBerry clear function does work quite well. I think it replaces the data too if I remember) until September, when the RIM has provided the release of Desktop for Mac software (link if you like: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp)

I hope it works for you!

Quick Note: you bloody sdgardne! Beat me to it! (I mean that in a kind of "friendly sarcasm" pass!) I don't want to seem like bastards forum that copy what someone else said and repeat it as their own, so just make Act)

  • Blackberry Simulator user agent is not Unique?

I'm having a lot of trouble to customize the style sheets for Blackberry devices because I do not have before me, physically.

When I run the Simulator BlackberryOS (using VMWare Fusion in OSX 10.9 emulation) and run a detective to a WebKit browser, I get this as the useragent:

    navigator.userAgent"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.35 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/26.0.1410.64 Safari/537.35"

That does not seem that this would be the same string that a physical Blackberry smart phone would be out... right? Below (Javascript) code that I use for devices Blackberry target.

             var ua = navigator.userAgent;
               if (ua.match(/(BlackBerry|Blackberry|blackberry|BB|bb|RIM|rim|Playbook|PlayBook|playbook)/)!=null) {
                    document.write('');
                    console.log ('Blackberry confirmed');
                }

He looks at something weird happens and the userAgent comes from somewhere else. I don't know how.

    The userAgent should be

    "Mozilla/5.0 (BB10; Touch) AppleWebKit/537.35+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.3.0.440 Mobile Safari/537.35+"

which I pulled the Simulator 10.3 beta.

If you need to match on the userAgent, add "BB10" to your list. I understand that you are probably working on software that cannot be changed easily, but if possible, I would recommend moving detection feature and no browser detection. This is one of the reasons why the userAgent changed with BB10 - it's because too many sites could detect a BlackBerry and offering users an experience tailored for phones from 7 years or more, when perceive it BB10 browser is unmatched for its performance and features HTML5.
