BlackBerry Z10 Blackberry protect grayed out

I use the Z10, the blackberry protect option is grayed out, luckily for me the device appear on the site to protect.

What can I do to enable my phone because it displays as OFF & its greyed out.

Yes, you get a screen, a ball in the first second (which ignores), hold DOWN the two depressed as I indicated until the screen will Dim.

Try as I said.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones gray out?

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130.  I love her, for the most part.  I'm here to learn more about this however.

I had this strange problem lately.  Rather than show me the "bars", it has the words (in gray) OFF in the upper right corner.  I took it to the Verizon store and they simply ripped off the back and pulled out the battery.  I tried twice now and nothing.

My Bill is paid and my husband's phone works perfectly, (we are on the same plane).

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you

    Juli

Look for the icon of radio antenna (mine is downstairs) called "manage connections" and click on it.  The top menu item can say 'turn all connections off' or 'enable all connections '.  I recommend all off, THEN turn them.  It seems that your radio was turned off inadvertently.  Hope that's all.

  • BlackBerry Q10 BlackBerry link 'Restore' option is grayed out

I ran the last 10 BlackBerry OS Update on Q10 BlackBerry to my wife last night. It seems to work correctly. However, when my wife went to use his phone this morning, it is in the configuration screen and all its information has been lost.

Needless to say, she is very angry with me.

She tried to do a "restore" BlackBerry connection after installation on its Q10, but the "restoration" option is grayed out.

    Help, please!

No phone is under settings. He appears at the bottom of the screen.

I had to uninstall BlackBerry link and reinstall it. Then it worked.

  • Z10 Blackberry Protect of blackBerry sound message won't go away!

I used blackberry protect to find my Z10 and when I tried to turn off the sound, the sound would not stop. I had to pull the battery. When I replaced my battery, a message appeared on the black screen before the home screen (when I wake my z10) which read: "to stop ringing, on the right side of the device, press the Volume key. This message will not go away. It's been several days now. I did battery pulls, restarted my legacy, turned off my camera... Nothing helps. The message remains. Any idea on how to get this message off the screen. Thanks in advance for suggestions to help.

Battery pull didn't work, but I re-found my camera, replayed the sound and when I stopped the sound by using the volume low... The message went away.

  • BlackBerry Z10 face two problems: 1) frozen 2) Blackberry Protect browser does not read my Z10

    Hello world.

I really need someone's help. I am facing two problems with my new Z10.

    (1) my browser froze since I deleted the cookies in the morning. I can see the menu on the left and use the settings, but bookmarks and shortcuts in the new tab page are without. I rebooted my phone a number of snow of time. Can anyone help with this?

    (2) I activated the Blackberry Protect feature in my Z10, but whenever I sign in the website protect with my blackberry id, the site say that no device has been linked to this account. Once again, I've passed that point and off several times, but nothing helped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Sameer Nagpal

Hey... good news! my browser has started working again. Entirely on his own initiative. Did nothing.
I think that delete cookies only he mess up a little bit. BlackBerry still has some bugs to solve if it wants to offer the same experience without effort on other platforms.

My suggestion is to wait outside as I did. Do not reload the OS. Well, I think that will get the browser works faster but I find that recharge a pain. Try side load the Dolphin Browser Android app Meanwhile

  • BlackBerry Z10 Blackberry Protect service not available

After upgrade to 10.1.0.4181, Blackberry Protect service is not running and the error "Unable to connect to the Service Blackberry Protect" appears.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait message "registration" happen

    2) restart

    • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry Protect Z10?

    Hi, please someone help me!
My name is Danielle I'm from Brasil and I lost my BB Z-10, on page Blackberry Protect, I tried to track the phone and I was so confused and upset that I clicked on "Tag as stolen" - but before I click on this option, it showed a message informing that even blocked as stolen I could manage my device - so I thought I could block and always follow up and send messages to try to recover , but now I have no option in my Blackberry protects the page.
Do you know how to manage my device and try to get it back?
Can I cancel this action and try to track my phone?
Do you have any contact which allows access to my Blackberry and unlock this option, so after that, I managed by Blackberry Protect?
I really like my phone and I want it back - please let me help.

I agree that they should have known and that it is unacceptable. But it is what it is... all the volunteers here, we can do is try to help the best we can. I suggest that you try the official support channel, which starts with your mobile service provider.

    Good luck!

  • Restore 10 via Blackberry Protect blackBerry address book

I recently lost my Bold 9900, which was protected by Blackberry Protect. I decided to buy a BB 9720 to replace the Bold 9900. However, I'm unable to transfer the saved 9900 to the 9720 address book because the address book field is grayed out both on the client than on Blackberry Protect. Please advise, I'm dying here.

    Concerning

    Shalegp

Looks like the address book on the 9720 is in wireless sync with service, might be a BES, Gmail, etc..

Accounts have been added to the device that support this?  You can try to remove these and then you try to restore.

As another test, you can try the following:

    1. make a backup of the 9720 - to save the State that you are now

    2 wipe the unit

    3. try to restore it from backup or BlackBerry Protect file

    4. If able successfully to restore your address book and then go to add back accounts

NOTE: If you are on a BES, you may need to contact the administrator or Help Desk to have a defined activation password.

  • Z30 blackBerry not able to sign in Blackberry Protect. Backup and restoration of function does not. "Your device is not associated with a Blackberry ID."

Unable to sign in Blackberry Protect.  Backup and restoration of function does not. Message is: "your device is not associated a Blackberry ID."  My Blackberry Messenger and Blackberry World works well so I'm sure this isn't a problem of ID on the phone.  I can sign in link, Blackberry.com and Protect.  I see my device to protect, but can't send messages, or view it on a map.  Times out with cannot reach peripheral message.  BB Protect on device has a circle whirling next to the on/off switch.  Cannot turn off.

I deleted the link and re-installed.

I reset the phone to the default (factory) and signed in.

    OS level is 10.2.1.3062

    BB link is 1.2.3.56

I managed to understand this. I had to remove the device from the Blackberry Protect site.  Protect.BlackBerry.com. I deleted my new and connected device with my Blackberry ID.  I don't know if the step of wiping was necessary because I have not tried my backup with the current configuration of the device after the deletion.  The restoration is underway for me!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Protect issue was updated to Version 1.1.1.73

    Hi all

If any of you out there have a problem with verification in BlackBerry Protect after the update, I found this on Crackberry.com. The fix works. Thanks JCBrunson. go to this link and follow the blog,

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/showthread.php?t=734704

I had the problem of verification. Now it's working. It seems that the update does not update the Blackberry ID software Once you reinstall Blackberry protect, it will update the software for the ID, it will ask to restart and then once rebooted, simply connect to Blackberry protect.

Thanks for that, that's what some of us have recommended the last day for those who has the problem.

You can also go to Options > device > application management and remove the BlackBerryID module when you delete also protect them, and you reinstall Protect, BlackBerryID update module will also be relocated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restore data on the new blackberry to Blackberry Protect, last performed restoration since my Blackberry Style 9670 stolen

Help!  My Blackberry Style 9670 (BB OS 6) was stolen.

My data was backed up on a daily basis by Blackberry Protect and nowhere else.

New phones Blackberry will be able to access and restore my Blackberry Protect data, or I need to get a refurbished phone from BB OS 6 or?

If your phone is under OS 7 or an earlier version, you will be able to access this data backup; BB10 phones cannot restore BlackBerry Protect data.

    BB10 phones are the Z10, the Z30, Q10 and the Q5.

    See you soon.

  • Smartphone data plan (BBM, navigation and Blackberry Protect) blackBerry stops working on Blackberry 9930

Hi I was using my Blackberry 9930 for a little over a year now, with the same data plan.

A few days ago my laptop could not start, so I reinstalled my OS. However after successful relocation, I met a problem to access the surveys BBM, browser and Blackberry Protect.

Wifi, browser and Appworld are fine (BBM and Blackberry Protect not fine).

However, when I turn off my wifi, I get this.

Check the service book, I noticed many missing articles...

Please note that these are ALL the elements, nothing more to scroll down for.

I noticed there is an additional element in Options > device > advanced system settings: i.e. the enterprise activation

Click to open the Enterprise Activation (I also get this window when I open the mail setup), I come to the page of connection probably BES.

Other messages, I understand that this could be the it policy. I've done many factory reset, via DM directly, via the command prompt using the loader/nojvm command and /resettofactory

    Things I did without success:

-Full Wipe and reinstall operating system (7.1.0.580, 7.1.0.755 and 7.1.0.991)

-Remove the policy with the above methods

-Record of Routing Table, locally on the host's phone and asking the carrier to do so.

-Access my site of carrier (telkomsel.blackberry.com) of the pc and return Service directories.

    Things to note:

-Emails are working properly, can send and receive without wifi

-Browser and Appworld are fine, only when the wifi is enabled

-Change SIM on another blackberry, my data plan works perfectly

-If I add a contact (phone B) through BBM surveys, phone B receives the request. However when a phone B accepts, nothing happens.

-L' opposite is not true. Phone B please, my phone receives no notification.

My career was told that my PIN code may be suspended/compromised, is it possible? and how should I proceed if it is true?

The carrier States that I have to bring this matter to Blackberry since:

    1. I did not buy the handset of them (carrier)

    2. they have proved that my data plan works when the SIM card is transferred to another handset.

Assuming that the suspension of the SPINDLE is true, nobody knows how should I proceed?

Indeed, the situation is delicate. The support service is always the responsibility of the carrier, because they are the entity that provides services. But subsidies related to the device falls to the original place of purchase, or an entity to which they have assigned to your supported devices. When the unit was purchased elsewhere, the service provider can refuse support for issues related to the device. And it seems that your service provider is to determine it's a question related to the device rather than a question related to the service. I don't know if this conclusion is correct or not... I tend to interpret your situation as related to the service, rather focus on the device, but I have not seen the 'rules' that they must follow to do this.

As such, your next step would be to contact the Manager of your support related to the device. Maybe it's your place of origin of the purchase, a service centre or other entity... it varies depending on the region, and I have no idea of what the device-support model is made for you. If you are unsure, contact your original purchase for orientation.

If all goes well, they will be ready to take your case and it degrades to the BlackBerry without cost to you. I can't say whether they will be or will not be. Sometimes, when issues come and the two types of support (device and service) are not provided by the same entity, there may be a tendency for each to blame others, unfortunately, leaving the end user without recourse, but to continue to try to climb with both entities until you reach someone who will be willing to take responsibility and provide the necessary climbing.

There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the original question, since you are not through support contracts that are in place. If you want to study, you can check it out here:

There is also this link, but I can't vouch for its usefulness because I've never needed to use it and reports in our community here indicate mixed results. But you can try:

    Good luck!
