Codec C60 control ports

Hi all
Please I need to know if the cisco C60 codec can be controlled through ethernet ports
She has 2 ports (com Ports) series for control, but my control processor lacks serial ports, so I don't want to use the serial ports.
I need to know if I can use the ethernet port for control and details on this use

Thank you very much
AGBO

Yes, it is possible to check via Telnet using the codec API.  There is useful information in the C API Guides séries on how to control the codec using the API and the various methods to control via RS232, SSH and Telnet.  You don't mention what processor to control you are using, but there are a few examples of programs Crestron here: Telepresence AV Integrator.

  • Control several cameras with Codec C60

    Hello:

I have a client who wants to use 3 PrecisionHDMC cameras and with the intervention of content to a codec C60, as well as an AMX control system.

I understand that there may be only 3 video inputs connected to a C60 both, my question is:

If I have a HDMI switch which video switches of 3 cameras connected to Video Input #1 the C60 and have that is configured as an input of the CAMERA, how to control the cameras independently?

I usually sign my AMX for the C60 system RS-232 and send an order which said in effect "Hey C60, 1 camera to zoom before saying" or "Hey C60, say camera 2 to zoom out, etc...

But in this case, the C60 will be only 'think' it has a camera connected, therefore:

Can I still send commands via the codec that say things like 'hey C60, say 2 camera to zoom out,'

    OR

I can "daisy chain" cable between them and simply connect RS - 232 to the 1st chain camera and tell them '' camera 3, zoom ''?

    OR

Need me a RS-232 connection distinct to each camera and just say "camera zoom out.

I hope I explained my question quite well, I look forward to your responses!

    Thank you!

If you want to integrate a bit more flexibility and discreet control, you can add a small matrix of switching in the project (see Extron DXP 44 HDMI) and have then each camera connected directly to the AMX for control. This allows the discrete control, discrete video selection, output preview and the ability to also have a PC or other video source connected (3 cameras and a PC).

Discrete control is possible with chaining with addressing, but according to the placement of the camera and the distances between the camera the Garland cable runs can a problem and since you have to run the video towards the grid it's easier to run the control back on location as well.

If you want to use the composting and then the TC console should be used.

  • Codec c60 sending two cameras at the Conference

Hi people, I need your help.

Our client, we have a codec c60 of cisco and we are facing a problem inside.

We have two cameras in codec c60. We made a presentation in console software TC to send both cameras at the Conference.

We have the following entries in the codec:

    source 1 - first camera

    source 2 - secondary camera

    source 3 - pc

We started the conference without presentation. Everything works fine. Both cameras are sent into the main channel. But when we try to send the presentation. The presentation works fine, but just the first camera is sent to the main channel. The layout does not work! But, if during the Conference, we go to the configuration and set the 'default presentatin source' as' 2". Source 2 is sent as presentation properly and in the mainstem both cameras are set correctly in the Console of TC. It works! The same thing happens if we set source as' the presentation by default"1. But if we define as the source 3 (pc), then presentation works normally, but just the first camera is sent to the main channel again, even if I don't put anything on the main track in Console of TC. The first camera is the "main source by default".

We tried to change the cables, the pluging the PC in "Source 2" and cable to the secondary camera in "Source 3". But we had the same result. If the 'PC' is the source of presentation, only the first camera is sent to end.

Can anyone here help me? Please help me.

If necessary, I can provide the XML file that I use in the TC Console.

    Thank you

    Hello

Please try again using a pc 16:9 source, because your layout of the TC console is set up for the resolution of pc.

Let me know if you get what I get when using a PC 16:9 source.

  • Codec C60 CTS requires BE 6 K

    Hi all

I have a codec C60 CTS to be installed in a new site that offers free vpn to Headquarters. The HQ is fully functional with BE 6 k, codec C60, etc..

Do I need a BE 6 K in the new site for the installation of the codec c60. (I'm confused because I've heard that sometimes it takes BE 6 k)

    Thanks in advance

Yes. You can make cross-site calls, then save your C60 on the AC BE6K.

Registration BE6K must have a license of TP for your C60 room.

Recommended bandwidth is > 1 MB.

  • How to extend HDMI on Cisco TV presence Codec C60 camera cable

    Hello everyone.

I need to know how we can extend the camera HDMI cable and the control of camera d-SUB/RJ45 cable up to 50 m.

We know that HDMI cab be extended to aid commercial Extender HDMI, but we do not know if the C60 uses standard HDMI signal. and what about the control cable. ?

You can use any standard HDMI extender to extend HDMI video cable.

For camera control cable, you can make your own cable from camera to extend existing or just cable one as long as you need. See the camera cable pinout scheme in the PrecisionHDMC camera Guide on pg 17. If the camera cable is more than 5 meters, the unit must be plugged into a power supply for camera (PSU-CAM-V =), as the time is too long for the codec to power the camera.

  • 4250 - SX: use two control ports supported or not?

4250 SX sensor, I have two monitor ports.

-Is it possible to use both at the same time?

    -Are there restrictions?

    -Is it supported by Cisco?

    Thank you very much

    Kurt

-Is it possible to use both at the same time?

    Yes

    -Are there restrictions?

The total bandwidth of 2 interfaces must add in the performance audit.

The IDS 4250 SX is assessed to 500Mbps so if you receive 350Mbps the map of SX, then only plan on sending 150mbps for TX standard sniffing port.

    -Is it supported by Cisco?

    Yes

    SIDE NOTE:

Do not confuse the IDS 4250 SX with the IDS 4250 XL. The SX has a single card PCI SX, while the XL is a double SX PCI card with hardware acceleration built into the card.

With the XL both SX ports can be used for monitoring (but the standard TX port on the motherboard cannot).

Combined traffic both SX ports must not exceed the return of the IDS 4250 XL (1 Gbps).

Sniff two XL SX ports is supported by Cisco.

  • How to completely control the PORTS COM of BT?

This is related to several versions of the Toshiba, but in this case, it is with 5.10.14FP1, installed on a Windows Vista.

When you start the Bluetooth local COM-Port-Control Panel, the list is filled with eight COM ports:

COM10 exchanger information Toshiba BT Port (COM10)
Com11 exchanger information Toshiba BT Port (COM11)
COM12 exchanger information Toshiba BT Port (COM12)
COM13 exchanger information Toshiba BT Port (COM13)
COM14 exchanger information Toshiba BT Port (COM14)
COM20 HSP Toshiba BT Port (COM20) Manager
Com21 Toshiba BT Port (COM21) HSP Manager
COM22 Manager of HSP Toshiba BT Port (COM22)

If I try to delete one of the existing COM ports tells me that it is created by Information interchange or Manager of HSP.
And if I add other com ports to the BT stack, they seem to count for COM40.

However, I need to be able to fully control port numbers the specific COM assigned to different interfaces I add... and I most certanly didn't eight predefined ports.

So, I have the following questions:
    (1) how to remove eight predefined ports?
    (2) how to change the com ports new I add to use COM1 and beyond. (No, port settings normal in the hardware control panel is not an option that is not there).

I look forward to your reply...

    Daigoro.

First of all I think that it is not a good idea to delete COM ports that are used for communication. If the services according to will not work afterwards. You can of course create new server COM ports if necessary and also configure client COM ports to fit your needs. Just use the custom instead of Express Mode Mode configuration wizard. Now you can determine what COM port should be used for your device. COM1 is often already used by the system, for example the built-in modem, so make sure that it's free!
The tool you are talking about is also available in VISTA. See "Control Panel-> control home Panel-> hardware and sound-> Bluetooth Local COM" for her.

  • Codec of Tandberg C series - DVI - I

    Hi guys,.

I'm trying to understand the DVI ports on a codec C60. I need to connect a VGA (from PC) input and an Hdmi output (on a plasma screen). I can only find vga-vga cables and hdmi to hdmi cable (good quality).

I want to know what type of DVI/VGA and DVI to HDMI adapter that I need to buy. DVI - I ports on the codec.

For the vga cable should I buy an adapter DVI - A, even a vga DVI - I adapt, just not a DVI - D adapter?

For the hdmi cable should I buy a hdmi to DVI - D, even a DVI adapter - I adapt, just not a DVI - A adapter?

Is the corect above or not?

    Thank you

    Silviu.

    > Cable vga should I buy an adapter DVI - A, even a vga DVI - I adapt, just not a DVI - D adapter?

OK, you can use a VGA-to-DVI-I (or VGA-to-DVI-A), but also have the choice to use the VGA-DVI-I cable (or a VGA-DVI-A cable) that could have more choices with lower price.

    > Cable hdmi should I buy a hdmi to DVI - D, even a DVI adapter - I adapt, just not a DVI - A adapter?

OK, DVI - D or DVI - I adapter works for your installation, but you can use the HDMI connection on the monitor directly, without conversion DVI-HDMI.

Please note that some of the coded C-series has several interfaces of HDMI output and you may need to change the configuration of role of display to the first or second monitor.

    Hello

To pc with VGA output, you use a VGA/DVI-I or DVI - A VGA cable.

For the connection to the screen if your screen has a hdmi input, you use an hdmi cable to hdmi.

If your screen input dvi, then it depends on what type of dvi input there. If DVI - I or DVI - D, you can use HDMI/DVI-I or HDMI to DVI - D cable. If the DVI - A, then you probably need a digital analog converter between the two.

    Please notify.

    regds,

    Aman

Equipment you list, it appears as a duplicate of 55-inch profile.  You can replace the C60 with a SX80 and always use PrecisionHDMC 1080 p 12 x camera, however, you will need to customize the installation a little, from the C60 a SX80 cables and the overall configuration/installation will be the same.  You will also need to buy a 10 Touch to control the SX80, like 8 Touch the C60's existing will become incompatible.  Suggest you take a look at the SX80 Installation Guide to get an idea of the connectors and what you have personalization.

Note that the SX80 installation guide does not mention the PrecisionHDMC 1080 p 12 x camera, but it is supported with limited functionality, below is taken from TC7/CE8 release notes:

    • Using base with Pan Tilt and Zoom functionality is supported.
    • Software update of this device is not supported natively by this codec.
    • Daisy chaining cameras is not supported on SX80.

Ultimately, customization, you may need to perform, not to mention how the monitors are currently controlled would be affected and may not work with the SX80, it may be interesting to simply replace the entire system with a new endpoint of MX series.

  • Re: How to connect to the mobile phone via the com port

    Hello
I have problem with connecting my Nokia n82 (s60) phone to bt via COM port. I want to connect mobiola webcam and need it. Can U help please?

    Hello

    Satellite A300 Vista preinstalled
    Battery Bluetooth version 6.10.07
    Motorola Razor V3 mobile phone

Not the same mobile phone, but the principle is the same.
Without doing anything special, I connected my phone to the laptop in a minute.

Allow BT using FN + F8
Open Bluetooth settings, click the BT symbol in the taskbar
    Click on new connection
Select the Express Mode > mode activate Visible on laptop > click OK
On the new connection wizard, choose phone list and click OK
When offered choose security PIN (for example, 1234)
Check connection on mobile phone and enter PIN security
After the PIN CPM40 control port will be enabled

Then now is your phone connected to your laptop and you can, for example, transfer files from the phone to the laptop.

By the way: what model of laptop do you have and which version of battery Bluetooth?

I'm under the latest version of Lookout in a very simple configuration to control three Modbus nodes on a USB / 485 port converter. Everything works perfectly and has been installed on both machines. There was a problem with the first machine in the built-in control port 485 pc had a problem that brought me to swap to the USB interface. This fixed the problem so I used it on the second computer. What is happening now is the second machine will work properly during a random delay then lose any communication via the port. The customer takes note that the indicators of activity on the nodes are dead and Modbus stats show the response failures. Re start the Setup complete cures the problem for a while, which seems to be between 2 to 60 minutes. Strangely enough the first machine is now done the same stuff after having worked without problem for several days. Modbus nodes are one of the 8 outputs, one of 16 inputs and 2 analog inputs. Needless to say it worked perfectly when I was on the site for a few days and work is a half-day plane ride away.

Apart from the change of the address of the port, everything is according to the default values of the lookout.

We record the communication on serial port data and see what happens.

Select the Option-> Serial Ports, choose the COM port uses Modbus. Activate the 'Diagnostic File Settings', name of input file and check the 'value in hexadecimal. Then the Modbus communication on this COM port is stored in the file. Run the process until the problem occurs. Attach the file of newspaper here.
