Cursor frozen

My cursor has frozen, its a built-in keyboard and I tried fn f9, cannot move anything and no weekend support, ideas?

FN + F9 reacts or not? You see the symbol of the option enable/disable touchpad?
Try to start Notepad in safe mode and test again.

By the way: which laptop model you have and what operating system are you using?

    Hey Buddy,

I think that you can't do anything more. In my opinion, you did everything write and now it s time for professional help because it seems to be a malfunction of equipment that should be checked to a service center.

You should contact the guy and ask for help. I think that everything can be clarified with them.

In addition, you can access data from another PC. You only need an external HARD drive enclosure that creates an external HARD drive.
And maybe you can keep the HARD drive at home if the service center don t need.

  • How can I fix my cursor frozen on my HP g60

My cursor is frozen on my HP g60 how can I solve this problem! It works only with safe mode

    Hello

    Try the following.

Start the computer in Safe Mode, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and select uninstall.

Once this done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load normally.

If the touchpad works now, download and reinstall the Synaptics driver on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp39501-40000/sp39534.exe

When this is complete, restart the computer again and check if the touchpad still works well.

    Hello

Stopping Notepad and then try the menu of the bios again via the following methods:

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you start Notepad to open the Start Menu, then choose f10 to open the Bios Menu.

    or

Tap here to f10 as soon as you turn on.

If you can access the menu of the bios, Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

If this does not help, then it began to resemble a hardware failure.

  • mouse frozen wireless

After downloading Avast yesterday and running a scan, which found nothing, the wireless mouse froze in the middle of the screen.  It happened after a reboot.  I tried another USB port that has not fixed the problem.  I plugged a wired mouse and the cursor stays frozen.  I tried a few reboots, nothing helps.  I went to the Microsoft site, signed and attempted to get a fix, but when I found an object that looked like it was for XP, SP3, it wouldn't let me access the page.  So, I don't think the Microsoft site helped me again.  Can someone tell me how to operate with a frozen mouse and give me a solution for this?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that the mouse cursor frozen after installing Avast antivirus on the computer.

-Have you checked the mouse on different computer?

This problem could be due to Avast antivirus. I suggest you follow these methods and update us with the results.

Method 1: I suggest you try to download and run the Fixit tool and check.

Automatically, he diagnoses and fixes problems with the hardware. (USB) Keyboard and mouse are not detected by the Manager of devices or when they do not work.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

You can also check out the link and check.

Troubleshoot a wireless mouse that does not correctly

Method 2: Disable Avast antivirus and check.

If disabling the Avast solves the problem, you may be contacting Avast Support and check.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Please post back with the State of the question, so that we can help you further.

  • Smartphones blackBerry keys/cursor does not when I have BB protection case

This is a very odd question, and I don't know why he does... Since I have a new phone 9320, I ordered a nice pretty protector case, however when the case is on the key and the cursor don't work, yet as soon as I remove the case everything works perfectly... The case allows access to all buttons, the camera and catches. I'm unique in this issue?

I think I understood that even if the case is for my phone design that it really puts pressure on the locking button for the key/cursor frozen as it is "half locked."

  • Cannot start to any Windows media - BIOS, Linux okay.

Yesterday, on my Windows 7 Pro computer, I tried to access management of the computer via r - clicking on "Computer" and select "Manage", but apparently the link ceased to exist;  However, I could access it via "Administrative tools.". Curious to know how long it lasts, I tried a system restore, that actually do anything, so I tried to restore to the rear.  Is where the real fun begins...

    The bluescreened to computer with the message "PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED," SEO Stop: 0x0000006B (0xFFFFFFFFC000007A, 0 x 0000000000000006, 0 x 0000000000000000, 0 x 0000000000000000).
Now when I try to boot into Windows, I have to make a choice between "Start Windows normally" and "Repair", nor what kind of work.  'Normally' give me the blue screen and "Repair" will not work because my keyboard or mouse will work in a Windows environment.
I tried different mice, keyboards and plug it into different ports, but absolutely nothing, not even a cursor frozen on the screen.  I also tried a hot spare Win PE with the same result, as well as the Windows installation disc, and various Windows-based bootable USB flash drives - once again, several USB ports.  And Safe Mode is a 'no-go '.
HOWEVER, everything works perfectly in the UEFI BIOS and all the other screens prior to Windows.  AND I can boot into various Linux distributions installed on an SDHC card that is placed in a USB adapter.
You are using Linux, I was able to follow the instructions I found on the Microsoft Support, delete the Bootcat.cache file, located in C:\Windows\system32\codeintegrity.  That no longer works.
Any suggestions before I have turn this into a Linux computer?

What worked:  I was able to start Linux (Mint distribution has functioned well), and from there I used the Terminal to reformat the drive for ext2, a Linux file system.  I thought that it doesn't really matter what I used, because Windows don't want to reformat anyway; I want to just get rid of all that was to keep the HIDs work.

Then I started on the installation of W7 disc - believe me, I have never been happy to see a slider! -After all the wanton 'you can do that' messages I finally got things the way Windows he wanted and now W7 is installed, complete with mouse, keyboard and the 'computer' right click 'Manage' option intact.
I did all the instructions I used to reformat the drive using Linux;  If someone wants to, reply to this message and I'll paste them here.

  • Equium M40 - cursor usually frozen - Touchpad very erratic

My cursor seems to freeze when the laptop is turned on for awhile (heat?) and then suddenly works again after days and days of frost. Have reinstalled the drivers (which worked for 24 hours), sent to Toshiba last week who has reinstalled everything and it worked again for 24 hours only, has been slain for worked days and now it suddenly after all the frozen screen and he would answer no to the keyboard either so I had to turn off at the power button but I have done this before and it didn't work before - WITHOUT RHYME or REASON. This is a brand new machine. WHAT CAN I DO? It makes me mental.

    Hey richie

It's not easy to say what exactly is the problem. Maybe your unit switches to hot?
It is also very important, that this laptop should be free of any objects that can cover the ventilation openings. There should be place around the unit so he cans "breath". Sometimes can help to update BIOS. You can also change the performance of the processor and method of cooling of the unit in Toshiba power saver utility.
    Maybe it helps.

    Hello

Still in Safe Mode, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open 'mouse and other pointing devices '.  Right click on your touchpad device and select Properties.  Click the driver tab and then click on the "Roll Back Driver" button.  Wait for this process to finish, and then restart Windows to start normally.  See if this contributed to the issue.

This problem occurs if you install a non-Plug-and-Play device driver, but Windows cannot find the device. Here are some things you can try to solve this problem.

If the Troubleshooting Wizard does not resolve the problem, do one of the following:

    • If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, connect the device, and then click on Search the hardware changes to reinstall the driver.
    • If the material was not removed, the driver files may be obsolete. In this case, update the driver in Device Manager. In the device properties dialog box, click the driver tab, and then click put to update driver to start the Upgrade Wizard to update the material. Follow the instructions to update the driver.
    • If the device is a non-Plug-and-Play device, you may need to install a newer version of the driver. To install non-Plug-and-Play devices, use the Add Hardware Wizard. Click Startand then click run. In the Open box, type hdwwiz.cpl.
