cycle of energy storage

I have four hosts esxi 5.0 related to EMC VNX5300 via CF box and IBM DS3512 box via iSCSI. There are several data stores located on each storage device containing multiple virtual machines. I use EMC VNX as faster storage box for the heart rate. We have to power cycle VNX5300 EMC to solve some problem mainly cosmetic with her. I wonder what would be the good steps side of VMware to prepare to power cycle this box?  I intend to migrate a couple of mission critical VMs to slower storage IBM, also change Heartbeat EMC to IBM data warehouse data storage. I'm also OK to close all remaining VMs on EMC... Please share your thoughts

Thank you very much!

I have * personally * would not for an hour. However, there are a lot of improvements since ESXi 5.0 for ODA. I stumbled upon this on ESXi 5.1 for about half a day and never had any problems, when someone deleted LUN a variety and never bothered to tell us and ESX kept looking for them. I would try to get information on how the CCA has collaborated in ESX 5.0, but I think an hour would be ok. Just don't kill me if you have any questions. And the vmware knowlegebase has tons of articles on ODA.

    Hello

    ·         You are using a desktop computer or a laptop?

The issue that you are facing may occur due to the static energy storage in the computer. I suggest a system power cycle and check if it helps:

    1. disconnect any external devices to the laptop.

2 remove the battery from the laptop.

    3. press the power button of the laptop for 10-15 seconds.

    4. Insert the battery in the laptop and restart the computer.

    5. check if the DVD player works fine.

  • Clock failure internal Officejet 6700

    Hello

I have a new officejet 6700 (5 days). (Based in the United Kingdom)

It is today gave an error message saying: failure of the internal clock - check the print quality. Printers display 00:00:00

He printed documents very well! A control using the built-in web browser software shows the clock 1 hour slow (daylight saving time vs GMT?).  set the clock to the correct time restores the printers on time screen display - she showed.

A check of updates of the firmware returns printer to date of pl ideas?

The first part of this message seems to indicate that the printer is not in time. Electronic devices that keep time have some sort of internal peripheral accumulation (like a battery) keeps time when the power is not connected or power of energy off. If you unplug the power for awhile on the printer, then restart, and you get the new message, which would indicate the energy storage device has failed.

If it is 5 days old, no doubt contact HP technical support to the region where you are. Use this link for more details, but go to the bottom of the page and click on the location (at the bottom left is to say the United States on this page) which will give placement options.

  • My friend 5s IPhone uses a ridiculous amount of storage for photos

My friend iPhone keeps running out of memory (Yes, it's a 5s with 16 gigabytes). The biggest memory hog's Photos, which use 7.1 GB for storage of photos. The problem is, this is a ridiculous amount: there only 30 pictures! (For comparison, my iPhone 6 stores about 2000 pictures in 20 concerts.) What's wrong?

YES, we emptied her folder of deleted Photos. There are 0 bytes used to store the photos removed (30 day cycle) for the moment.

YES, we experimented with removal of a few pictures, then, seeing how much decreases the use of the photo. When we delete 5 pictures, the total storage used down entire concert 0.1, which equals approximately 20 MB per photo, which might be a little on the high side but not much. We are up to 20 photos with 6.8 GB - still, it sounds ridiculous to me.

What else can we? Is there a problem with corruption? Perhaps there is a photo (or photos) that think iOS includes concerts of the space, but seems we like just a normal photo that should take a normal amount of space? It has about 5 photos that he's afraid to delete (even if they are now saved on Google Photos). So let's say we delete the other 15. If, judging by previous data, thereby reducing its use to 6.4 GB, do we take a deep breath and delete others?

If the problem with deleting all the photos, then - Phew! -It can be upgraded to the latest version of iOS and hope that the problem does not recur. But suppose that it ends with zero pictures and the use of the photo of 6 GB storage, or so: what would solve THIS problem?

The only other thing I can think of that MIGHT help the problem is that I'm not sure that it has never updated its version of iOS from one delivered with its 5. It doesn't have a Mac with iTunes to upgrade to the most recent, and of course it lacks the 1.5 GB (or other) he needs to upgrade via WiFi. But why the iOS version would have something to do with it? That makes no sense.

Help! Thank you, in advance, for your help. I'm sorry that I don't have her phone handy to see exactly which version of iOS it is running.

I repeat that Yes, we found the folder deleted photos and deleted the pictures inside. And Yes, it has recharged his cell phone recently.

You have found the folder deleted recently, but you must do this:

    1. go to settings > general > Date & time and set the date to 01/09/2014

    2. go back to Photos, open the folder deleted recently and see if there is any photo more that should be deleted

    3. Once you have complete, date back to automatic and then reset the unit

    4. see if the storage has been released

In addition, if your friend has a lot of emails or Messages with videos or photos, or videos in the camera, so those who take up a lot of storage.

And consider that iCloud library is not active?

    See you soon,.

  • HP Jet 7: Flow HP 7 tablet update to Windows 10 locked in the start cycle

A few days ago my Tablet has started the update of Windows.  It was a large download and took all night.  I had space on the micro SD for her card.  He is now stuck in a boot loop.  Start HP logo appears, the circle of dots below.  Then the screen turns white and a box appears at the top of the screen, in white.  Resemble East should have written in it.  The screen turns off again and a message appears at the bottom of the screen: "restore your previous version of Windows...". ».  The screen is blank and the cycle starts all over again.  What can I do?  How can I get it to a version that will work?  I had no backup.  Is it time to juice throw it in the trash?  Is there some kind of storage medium, that I can use to retrieve Windows 8.1?  I don't like trash, but that seems to be my only option now.

Use the media for Win10 32 bit tool and try again 10.

    Windows 10

Its free to download. If you already have your PC set updated to 10, then its free to reinstall.

Download on another computer and create the USB support.

It works on my Tablet 8 Stream. I think it was just a fluke and it will work for you.

No need to get media 8.1 with Bing , unless you just what to have on hand.

But if you don't want to go back, you need to get that from HP. Microsoft does not offer a download for this particular operating system.

  • WIN8.1 system Toshiba MQ02ABF050H SSHD: LCC Load Cycle Count value increases too fast!

    Hello world
A few months ago, I bought an Acer Aspire E5-573-3009 New Notebook i3-5005. It comes with the SSHD (= hybrid system) 500 GB Toshiba MQ02ABF050H. I installed 8 GB of RAM on the laptop, everything works perfectly. However, I use CrystalDiscInfo to definitely keep me updated on the disk temperature and S.M.A.R.T. data, and about once a month, I conduct a test with HDDScan. Now, I am really worried about the number of Cycle charge/discharge, or to be more precise: the charge by hour cycles. For example, today, I see that the number of cycles of loading and unloading for the aforementioned disc is already 68007; the number of hours under tension is 1346. This means that the average number of Cycles of load per hour is 50.5. I read a lot on the subject of the Cycles of loading and unloading on the internet, and it seems that 50 charge Cycles / hour is much too high! I have no find any info by Toshiba on the maximum number of charge Cycles their hard disks are supposed to survive, but for many Western Digital disks, it is 300 000. (And my Toshiba SSHD is my Windows system drive, so we can expect to suffer wear more HD average, many of which are used for the storage of date). If the maximum number of charge cycles my SSHD is supposed to survive looked like value, this would mean that almost 1/4 of its overall life expectancy had already left - after only a few months (with 1346 hours power)! I already stopped using Hibernate Windows a week ago (now with the help of sleep or stop instead, but much decreased the value of charge by hour Cycles.) I contacted Acer (which are responsible for taking care in this case, because they sold me the SSHD under their laptop), and they told me that they cannot help me at all, because Toshiba gave no information about this kind of problem or firmware updated. I now plan to change advanced power of the disc in CrystalDiskInfo management values. It offers a slider ranging from 'Min power' to 'Performance '. originally, the cursor was in the Middle, I think I would be similar 'Performance', but I don't know how, and he will help me with my problem at all. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Long-term storage of inkjet all-in-one (F4480)

Is there a good way to prepare for storing ink jet printers long-term (> 1 year) so that the jets get clogged?

We have a F4480 deskjet all-in-one that has not been used in several months.  As far as I know it still works fine.  It has been stored in the original box & delivery packaging for 3 months.  We hope it won't be necessary for 1-2 years.  We had 2 former HP hoof to the top after a long period without use.  I said that they should be tested every month or two.  Do you need >

This model integrates print on ink supplies heads, so in the worst case, you'll just need to replace the cartridges.  I think after a year or two ink supplies will probably dried out or clogged.   When you restore the printer to the service, you may be able to run up to three cycles of cleaning of the Toolbox.  Is there is an impression, but it is scratched or one or more colors are missing, then soak the nozzles of the cartridges down in about 1 "of very hot water for 10 minutes can recover the cartridges.

The best plan would be to simply use the cartridges before long-term storage and then store the low or empty cartridges in the printer.

For best results, store the printer with cartridges installed.  Be sure to turn off the printer to its power switch and wait for the cartridges to Park properly before removing the power.  Store the printer in a place cool and away from drafts, pets and other potential hazards.  Make sure that the printer is stored standing in its normal operating position.  Store the printer upside down or sideways or the end can cause problems.

  • Lenovo Y510P | Sudden power loss on unplug and operate the State cycling under the optimized battery

    Hello

I recently came across these related problems on my Lenovo Y510P of power: model i7, 8 GB Ram, GT750M configuration.

    ----

It started after I installed a new SSD for the system, the clean install of Windows 8.1 with all latest drivers except the previous version of the BIOS and Lenovo Energy Management. Until all this started, the battery would not charge I have troubleshooted and fixed this problem by removing the battery and holding down the Start button. Over the next few days, I started to have additional problems.

When I unplugged the power adapter, the system suddenly put off the power. Here is what happens:

    1. turn on the system with connected adapter and battery attached.

    2. unplug the adapter

    3. quickly plug adapter

    4. Quick disconnect adapter again.

    5. the system turns off completely.

Then, I started to notice that the "Battery optimized" regime, the power state would be cycle between power adaptor and batteries, as observed in the cycling of screen brightness and performace cobs. This has happened only if the battery charge level was higher than 60% but less than 98%. Regularly, I used this energy system and did not notice this problem until very recently.

    ----

I reinstalled the original SSHD (same OS and driver installation methods), where these issues were not present in the past. However, two problems remained.

I've updated the BIOS and the Lenovo Energy Management to the latest versions. Two problems persist.

    ----

I would appreciate any help or insight. My tech knowledge level is above average, so feel free to use the advances or procedures. Thank you!

I don't know what the problem at the moment with your laptop, but if it's a problem with the power supply or the battery it can easily lead to a fried motherboard.

I would like to communicate with Lenovo and send the laptop for repairs or ask for a replacement charger and battery.

  • Office jet Pro 8630: printer storage for 18 months

We are about to travel for 18 months and want to store our printer then out.  I have the original box and packaging ploystyrene, if you want some advice on reconditioning safely - I can find help for printers smaller, but not the 8630.  Also, should I remove the ink cartridges.  Assistance would be most appreciated John

The cartridges should be stored in the printer.  Be sure to turn off the printer's power switch and let the printer to get things "parked" before unplugging the printer.  Store the printer in a place not subject to significant fluctuations of temperature.  I wouldn't put the printer in its original packing, if you don't do that you keep the printer oriented as it would be on a desk - the package has a normal orientation which has the printer on its side, this should be avoided as the ink of the service area may elapse.  If the printer is going into a storage facility you can put in its original packaging, but make sure the printer 'flat '.

I had an extra Officejet 8600 more (same inks and printheads as yours) that I implemented, then set aside for a full year.  I was surprised, but the first impression after decommissioning storage printed without needing any fussing in all - no manual cleaning or running cleaning cycles not needed.  I was actually expecting that I would need to run a few cycles of cleaning of the façade, or perhaps even remove the printhead and soak.  I had the printer stored in a spare room, protected from the Sun and away from heating vents.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

17-fxxx Pavilion series is the budget model type and has no place for a second hard drive or player mSATA.

The only thing you could do to maximize the speed is to install an SSD of regular full size as single storage drive in the 2.5-inch drive Bay.

However, it is a major undertaking and requires almost complete disassembly. See Page 94 and below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04339451

Not exactly the same model but close and it shows step by step video of everything you need to do to reach the hard drive Bay. Wish it were easier for you.

I have my laptop new HP ENVY 15 t-k000 CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) yesterday itself. He already have writer BRD. Can I replace my BRD burner with extra HD SSD? If yes what is the procedure for that?

You can, but you shouldn't. The port for the optical drive is a SATA-I have the interface. Slower than the port for HDD/SSD. So if you want to just add storage put a regular mechanical training in an optical drive adapter. Also any drive in the optical drive adapter will not be bootable. This will help you:

  • HP5550 68.0 "permanent storage full" followed by "49.4C02 error" "keep turning off & then on."

End users reported a 49.4C02 error.  They had cycled power on the printer error code and the error code persists.

I went to the printer to see what was going on.

I noticed that a few seconds until the 49.4C02 error appeared on the screen of the printer, there was

a 68,0 error "permanent storage full".

I tried a cold reboot, but it did not help.

Could not watch all print jobs in the print as I didn't know what was the address of the network printer.

The display was frozen on the 49.4c02 error.

I was unable to print the configuration page to find the IP address / number, so I couldn't determine the printer to look at.

    I found a solution.

I examined the service manual and found an article on how to initialize the hard disk.

I expect that this might help as I was getting a storage permanent error 68,0 full, a few seconds before the 49.4C02 error appeared.

In all cases, it couldn't hurt to try.

So I power cycle the printer.

The count of memory at startup, I pressed the MENU button and held it until the 3 LIGHTS all light up.

I then released the button MENU. I hit the button the arrow (return). The screen of the printer showed a

INITIALIZE the DISK on the screen.

I pushed the button tick to accept the initialization process.

The screen displayed/hidden between a few different views, then on the READY screen appeared.

Printing all seemed to have disappeared, but at least the printer is online and functional again.

Not sure how happy the end user who has had a print job in printing, but I was happy to have the operational printer again.

    Try this:

    -Disable all existing users.
