I'm afraid you've actually done all you can.  You need to either replace the print head or the printer.  If a print head is available for your printer, you will only to be able to buy it through HP technical support.  You can find by following the link below.

  • HELP to the installed print head is not intended for use this product, or it may be damaged

Help - please, I get a msg that says: "the installed print head is not intended for use in this product, or it may be damaged. I was trying many solutions I found on my search but nothing doesn't work.

I was able to find the right answer to the problem I had with my printer. The printer that I have by the way is a HP Officejet 6500 E709a model.

Here is the solution is simple:

The print head is the device where sit the ink cartridges.  It may be incorrectly installed.

Remove the ink cartridges (carefully, you can get ink on yourself).  Now using the system of grey lock on the right side of the cart, remove and re - install the print head.  Shake a little before lowering the lock wall.

Now, re - install the ink cartridges.

I had to do this process 2 times because the first time did not work. Make sure that when you remove the print head, the area is clean, try to remove the very careful, a little dust and I hope it will work for you also.

  • How a print head is damaged?

Cartridges should not perform the print head. Just make sure that you have replaced the cartridges when you know its out of ink don't keep dry for a long time.

If your print head is under warranty, you do not have to pay for a new printhead. Call technical assistance once before buying a print head.

  • 7520 new stuck in the installation phase. Print head move load ink cartridges

I'm stuck in the new phase of printer configuration. After running through the commissioning of questions and I opened the cover to charge the ink cartridges and the print head did not move. I ran across several reset process... Unplug the printer. Wait 60 seconds and plug it in again. Browse the configuration... Unplug the printer... more.

This printer does not seem to be any cartriages.

    Hey JohnTT,

Sometimes, these printers come with packaging that holds the printhead completely to the right at the gas station.  This avoids damage to the product during shipping.  You see all plastic parts orange that it may contain in place or Blue Ribbon?

So, have you tried the carriage to the right hand?  Can it be moved or is it blocked?

If the printer still will not release the print carriage after the power cycles and move it by hand, then I suggest you return the product and return to the retailer of purchase or by calling the HP Technical Support to see about a replacement.  The phone number for the USA / Canada residents is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are not in this region, click here.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Error Message: incompatible print heads

The printer is not even a month and has worked perfectly, until last week when he simply stopped Mid-print page. There are no jams, no flashing lights, it just stopped printing. I turned it and turn it back on and that's when the ink lights began flashing. First there was black ink, which I changed with a new cartridge (even though I know that the configuration it was not empty). Then each colored ink lights began flashing. I replaced all four cartridges with the new HP ink and the Scan doctor says that the print heads are alternately missing, damaged or incompatible. The message passes whenever I check. I am at a loss and impossible even to contact someone to get this repaired thing (because it is still under warranty).

None of the troubleshooting techniques worked. I had all the tried before they have been suggested, so I ended up contact HP and receiving a replacement printer. We'll see how it goes.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart C309a "Alignment failed" error message even after cleaning the print heads, etc.

About 3 weeks ago before making the error msg above, a large black ink blob appeared on my printed piece of paper.  This product for several sheets later, but kept decreasing in amount.  I continued to print & finally all traces of ink have disappeared.  2 days ago I got a msg of error on "load plain white paper. ", but the paper tray was plain white paper in it.  I have removed the paper, straightened and her successor. As a result, the msg "Alignment failed" appeared.  I went through all the steps HP online information on the treatment of the "alignment failed", including the cleaning of the printheads (the right amount of ink was on it), check the vents of cartridge, etc.  My question is: if I have 4 out of colored inks and a new black ink installed, the alignment is being affected by the old cartridges?  A msg on this appeared on the Control Panel, giving the opportunity to proceed with the old cartridges or install new ones, but be careful that it "cannot allow completion of...» "If 'old' were replaced not.  I need to replace these color cartridges or is it probably another problem, which is print head damaged?

Checked the evacuation & there is no problem, so I tried the informal solution to put the printhead in hot water.  A ran 1 cleaning via / configuration on the printer and finally aligned with success tools.  I waited a while to respond because I wanted to see if the printer should continue to work, and there!

Thank you very much.  I'm happy that I can keep this printer!

  • Re: HP 6500 has more print head always needs replaced

I own a HP 6500 e709n and have had problems with the cartridges of printers are not recognized and experiences one now where worked my 920 dual black cartridge and the printer being functional black print only with no error messages but not color print as one or more of the cartridges were probably low or dried up. I changed the cartridges out with genuine hp 920 s and now get a message indicating one or more cartridges missing or damaged-cyan. Put my old cartiges backwards and got the same failure where none were before with them. From cartridge games and open holes with PIN as described for if ensure that ventilation was allowed both sets and retried. Was always the same message on cyan then pulled the print head and cleaned by the procedure several times hp. Now get the ink system failure. Cleaned again now return to the failure of the cyan cartridge. Loop d zero. Seems that this printer know when I really need and fails at that time in a way that I can't fix.

I worked in the manufacturing sector and in my case all returns have been watched and analized by Tech as a measure of the quality control or quality assurance. It makes sense for business profitability so much customer satisfaction. In my view, because there is a common problem that seems to be frequent, there is an exact question that was observed by the company (HP) and they know what the problem is. IM surprised that information has not been put forward here by people who represent so called HP. What is the main problem that change a print head - relieves most of the time? Dried up ink in the corridors. Hard Electronics failure of the members of the Ribbon or pc? Faulty detection mechanism? Mechanism of cartridge HP cartridge original problem to prove ID? Customers using non hp cartridge or refill the cartridge authentic? ... what causes?

Thanks for the reply. As I said in my post 2cnd problem was completely healed of many print CRC head baths and a toothbrush. Is there a reason why it has been edited my first post on the thread? Apparently you still like you he referenced earlier. Thanks, Keith

  • my print head large format 7500 needs?

My 7500 has large format officejet displays the message "ink cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.  I cleaned second level clean print heads, put in a new hp black cartridge, clean the plates of copper brass on the cartridge and the printer.  do I have to replace the print head?

I understand that you are looking to replace the print head after doing the different troubleshooting steps, but I would like to clean the print head manual too. Here a link to the user manual. It will show how to clean the print head and what materials to use on pages 120-125. While you clean the contacts on the print head after you delete it, check to see what warranty end date to the printhead is. If this date has not passed, I would call into HP total care for quality output troubleshooting.

I would also do a hard reset of the machine to try to clear the error message and return the printer to a known working state. No user settings are lost with a hard reset.

    1. with the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet and turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
2 then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    3. wait at least 30-60 seconds
    4. plug the power cord into the wall outlet first. If a module with the power cord, make sure that the light of the module and then reconnect power cord on the back of the printer
    5. the printer should power back on by itself, but if not use the power button on front panel to turn on machine.

  • Photosmart HP B210a more - keeps saying lack of print head

Help! I've had my printer for months and it has not yet printed anything. When installing, it came across with a message "lack of print head" and regardless of how many times I have re-seat of the print head it will not go away. I tried to clean it, turn off the printer and wait, restart, nothing works. Please help me!

Try to connect your printer to a different power source, directly connected to the outlet, to deny the problems of power.

If the same error message as well, contact the call center of HP in your region, as the printhead is damaged and need a replacement.

  • Officejet Pro L7780 print head error

I have a Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-one. Recently, it does not work due to a print head error (printhead missing or damaged M/C). Help, please.  Thank you very much.

    Hello

Use the following link to complete the troubleshooting steps.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01446637

If you still receive the error message after you perform the steps in troubleshooting mentioned in the document, then try cleaning print head in the printer menu.

Installation Menu - Tools - cleaning print head

Configure the Menu - Tools - align printer.

If none of these help then try this reset... This reset will restore the printer to its factory settings & will clear all the settings of the printer.

Unplug the cord from the back of the printer while the printer is always enabled.

Now hold "# & 9 ' buttons on the printer and connect the power chords while pressing the 2 keys. Wait 10 seconds, then release the keys.

If the printer turns off automatically, then wait for 10secs. and then turn on the printer using the power button on the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.
