Detection of network problem _ India

Hey guys,.

Its done 10 days that I unboxed my motorcycle G. Noticed something strange while I was traveling last week. When I got out of the plane after landing, everyone around me seemed again won their cell phone n/w & I got curious when I lost mine.

Every good 30 minutes, the phone has been w/o network & it only showed a sign "emergency calls only".

It's a problem of h/w or s/w problem? I can still enjoy a replacement in two cases, but I need to understand why this happened. Hope I made an investment course & it won't be a permanent problem.

Best,

G

Understand Fabio... Will be attention to these signs & report back.

Best,

Gerard

  • X 200 wireless problem - detects available networks, but cannot connect to them.

    Hi all

I have a weird and annoying problem. My X 200 can detect wireless networks but refuses to connecto to them.

It's a brand new computer that I just received.

    Some info:

    ThinkPad X 200 7454-2HU, running Vista x 64.

Downloaded latest drivers installed, all using the autopilot to Lenovo download application.

The driver has detected in the Device Manager is: Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN.

There is no problem with the wireless network (the other computers connect to it without any problems).

I tried to cancel the option "n", leaving a "b/g", but it did not help.

It is problematic that only one device in Device Manager, and it's "Controller of Bus SM" (cannot understand what it is and update windows or Lenovo update does not solve this problem).

When I use "Intel ProSet/Wireless Tools" diagnose, I get:

Test equipment: managed (wireless hardware is enabled)

Pilotass. Driver is loaded. NET w5v64 Versio: 12.0.0.82

Radio test: past. The radio is on.

Scan Testass. There are 12 networks available to connect.

    Association test: failed. No partner.

When I look at the statistics, it seems that the card receives bytes (nothing is sent).

What do you think? Is it a hardware problem or software?

No idea what can be done if it is a software problem?

  • Satellite T135D - cannot detect wireless networks

    I bought a T135D early January.
Everything was happy until one day my laptop decides it cannot detect wireless networks, and even less to connect to one.
I don't think the T135 came with a manual switch, while in the BIOS it says it's on.

The graph with the antenna and 4 bars charge is no longer at startup, or the light that lights up on the front of my laptop. It's frustrating to have this kind of problem so early in the game with the T135D.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The wireless network must be activated by pressing the FN + F8 key combination.
    Have you tried that?

    If not, please check it

Of course, you must make sure that the WLan card driver is always up to date.

  • HPE-475 wireless card detects only networks

For these last months, occasionally, my computer would start but be unable to detect wireless networks. It seems that l ' simply down to an hour or two by magic would solve it. Research at the time indicated that he was unable to find a driver for some reason any.

However, today, several hours of the computer being off has not solved the problem, and the Device Manager indicates that the card works fine, without worries of pilot. Maybe, I'm looking at the wrong thing.

I was able to connect using an old wireless dongle, but I don't want that it is the permanent solution.

What can I do to better diagnose and solve the problem? I searched a bit, but couldn't find anything that seemed specific to this situation.

    Product name: HPE-475

    Product number: BU082AA #ABG

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1

    Error messages: No.

    Recent changes: No.

Performed troubleshooting: attempted to "Diagnose" through network connections. He suggested to check the router. The router is fine, several other devices are able to connect. Diagnosis then says it cannot solve the problem of connectivity.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

If the WIFI worked very well using the current router then mixed mode setting is not the problem.

If Device Manager shows no errors and you cannot connect wirelessly then the WIFI card is most likely the problem.

Good to hear you have an extended warranty.

I've had this printer for several months now, I have had no problem connecting to my wireless network and connect computers, telephones and other equipment to this.

A few days earlier, when starting the printer display flashes with the useless error message, error in the printer, turn the printer off and back on.

I have power cycled as requested and received the same message, over the power of the cycle he mentions turning off the power button and no DISCONNECT of the sector. Until then I had never disconnected from the sector. After that I have several attempts to power cycle the printer is off and removed the sector, has waited half an hour and powered on again once.

Still stuck in a loop. He also briefly flashed a blue screen with the error B81431CB. So brief that it is almost useless. I had the boot sequence video and pause playback to read error!

After some research, I decided that she was experiencing problems connecting to the WIFI network. So, I turned the wifi on the router and the printer network started as usual. Internal menus are now available and I can print status and so forth, so at this point I can exclude defects of ink or mechanism.

I went in on the printer network settings and reset the network. I'll also through the printer to factory default settings. I have reactivated the WIFI network to the router then went to install the printer again. Digitized for wifi networks and found mine. Entered the password for wifi and the printer could not connect. Everything is good, correct ssid, signal. Report shows wifi password is incorrect.

I have try several times to connect wifi password is certainly correct, but the printer refuses to recognize the correct password. I tried a different router, the same result. Says incorrect password. Also I tried WPS and a PIN, said still fails to connect.

At this point, I have disabled all security on the wifi network. Bingo, printer connects to the network, but starts with the loop of error mentioned at the start of the tour and turn it back on. This above has been tried several times, the factory reset, everything ok, turn off the wifi security, the printer connects and goes in a loop.

So, at this point wifi is confirmed to be defective. I decide to directly connect a LAN cable. Once the LAN cable is connected, a few seconds later the printer detects the network and goes back into its loop error. It will not just connect to a network via wifi or LAN. He previously worked on the network, and nothing has changed on the network, not new parameters or no new devices.

I connected a laptop to the printer via USB and that seems to work ok, but a USB connection is not ideal and defeated the convenience of a wireless printer. I also tried to reflash the printer in case there is a corruption of the firmware, but the utility detects that the latest firmware is installed and that it is not engaged.

    Now...?

OK I managed to make it work and I will try to explain the steps of my best.

As mentioned previously, I tried another router, I tried the wiring, and I tried to reset the router and the printer. Nothing seemed to work.

Out of curiosity I just put my phone in a WIFI AP. Tried connecting the printer and it worked. The printer connected to the WIFI phones.

So I know that the printer works on at least one access point.

Thus, in the settings of the router and firewall. The only thing enabled in the firewall have been

    IPv4 firewall protection

  • Re: Satellite L450-173 - unable to detect wireless networks

I have a similar problem with my satellite L450-173.

I bought this laptop without OS and installed win 7.
I found and downloaded the latest drivers toshiba WLAN support and download page and my Device Manager indicates that the device is turned on and that it works correctly.

However, I am unable to detect the networks without wire in the box (alltough there are at least three in the district).
I have a home network with the router. When I connect to my laptop with a LAN cable, it connects automatically without problem. But I can not connect via my wireless connection.

Windows troubleshooting is of no use.
I downloaded the chipset drivers updated too (following the suggestion by an online forum), but which did not help at all.
My "doctor Conectivity" reported that my wlan adapter is 'on', but when I enter the 'Radar' option, it reports that this wireless network device is disabled. I tried to disable and then enable once again, but it did not help. I also used the option reset address IP - no use. My IP address is set to auto because my network is connected by the router.
I tried pressing FN + F8 but I have not noticed any change.

Indicator LED for a wireless connection at the front of the laptop is always red.
I read many forums linking similar issues to win 7, but I have not found any solution.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Eventually the WiFi network is disabled and so you cannot connect to the Wlan router.
If the FN + F8 does not change the status of WLan, then it would mean that Don t FN buttons work properly have you checked if the other FN keys work?

You must reinstall the VAP (value added package) to obtain the keys FN working again
If you want to use the Fn + F8 then you should see (flashcard) WLan icon on the screen

    Another idea;
You can toggle the wifi in the Device Manager-> card Wlan-> properties-> Advanced tab.
    Check this box

  • card 3160 AC wireless network problems

    Hello

I bought a laptop HP Envy M6; product # G5N44UA #ABA running Windows 8.1 64-bit, and I have a problem with the wireless network card. It is a version of Intel dual-band AC3160 wireless 16.6.0.8

The problem is that when I close the lid, do go to sleep or turn off the computer, it restarts when it says that it cannot connect. When I run the troubleshooting it says that there is something wrong with my (physical) access point. If I run the access point troubleshooting it reboots the access point which solves the problem, until he falls asleep again.

What did I try? So far...

    (1) uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. No change.

    (2) changed some settings about «closing the lid» power management Changed for the 'status quo' when lid closes.

Now when he goes to sleep or if there is, it does not detect the network at all unless I restart again.

I changed the rear power settings, but I need to know if I have a hardware problem and how to get fixed.

    Thank you

I was intrigued by the validations and proposed solutions to the question of the network adapter 3160.  I have a 8 month old G0T55AV of HP Envy 15 t-K000 Notebook 64-bit Win 8.1 with 12 GB of Ram, and of course the AC adapter / 3160 of Intel.  I should mention that I am a fan of long-time HP products.  It's my second computer of this model as first a miserably failed with Touch Pad questions and passing AC 3160 failures, if HP has requested that I return it and they were replaced by a new.  Shortly after I received my other 'News' that also came with the AC3160, I started having network disconnects when you wake up mode "Eve".  I found articles about uncheck the power saving mode.  That worked for a while and all of a sudden, I once again began to have problems.

I contacted Tech Support Chat repeatedly and most recently of several days.  They diagnosed the problem and as usual tried to remove and download the drivers that had been made several times previously.  They also disabled several of my 'start-up' services and was intending to leave them turned off until I challenged, who also screwed up some of my services.  I also noticed that now I could not the PC to recognize the adapter in wake up.  I have to restart the PC to refresh and identify the adapter, a problem that I had not seen before.   If after all this, the recommendation was to perform a factory reset.  I objected, so I was sent a box to ship my computer in for 7-10 days service center where the reset would be carried out.  Of course, I had to delete all my data and it should reinstall all software installed after initially receiving the computer 8 months ago.  WHAT?  Of course, it would be no monetary cost to me; However, the grief of being without my PC and reload data and software has been a big emotional event.

I took a chance to solve on my own.  HQ 3160 being an Intel product, I went to the page 'pilot' of the Intel website specifically for the AC 3160.  I noticed that the iteration of driver used by HP several iterations behind the current driver from Intel.  I tried using the program to automate the update of the Intel driver.  The program has identified the adapter such as the need to update; However, the pilot would not move through their utility.  Do not know why.  I finally found a link on their site which allowed me to download and install the most recent driver manually.  I've been running for almost a week and so far, I had no network card failures.  Without losing the connection on sleep, without losing the identity of the card, nothing.

I do not claim that it would work in every situation of AC3160 has failed, but it seemed to work for me at least to date.  My shipping box to return my PC arrived Friday 2/13; However, I hold that the driver will continue to operate successfully.  This brings a few questions in mind:

    (1) why the HP Technical Support uses them most recent updated driver from the manufacturer?

    (2) why not HP own up to the fact that the AC3160 may be defective, issue a reminder and replace them?  I know the answer! $$$$$$$

    (3) why HP joined with Intel and provide a common solution to the end user?

    (4) why HP does not provide a specialty within Technical Support Group to deal only with issues AC3160 to prevent "groping" solutions that could potentially cause more harm than good?

    Hey @cbs117,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you experience some problems with your Laserjet P1102w printer connection to your wireless network. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

Now if the blue light is not solid, the next step is to run the HP installation by clicking on the icon on your PC with a name similar to the Laserjet P1100 series. If you do not have this icon, download the latest drivers at this link.

Please let me know if you are able to connect the printer after you follow the above. If you are, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • 'Detected wireless networks' followed by 'no wireless networks were found in range ".

Trying to help a friend with their laptop!  It's a Lenovo R61i laptop model A 8932, 54, around the age of 16 months.  WIN/XP SP3 is the only OS.  He was working on this wireless network until they are gone on vacation and tried to connect to public wireless networks! Their daughter portable computer continues to operate properly with this wireless network, and it also shows the neighborhood wireless networks as well.  The R61i has a built-in 'Pro\wireless Intel 3945ABG Network ' wireless wireless adapter.

Connectivity and internet access works very well through the ethernet port.

Here's what I've done so far:

He has Norton AV.  I made sure that it was up to date and then ran a full system scan.  It was clean.

Any help will be appreciated, and I WILL ANSWER about the results!

Windows Update ran (after I got it work - see below) for all critical updates.

Fact a "repair" on the wireless connection with these results:

    • Wireless networks detected
    • No wireless networks were found in range
    • Windows could not finish repairing the problem because it is impossible to perform the following action: connect to the wireless network

That when the laptop is 5 feet of the wireless router.  It is a Dlink
Updated the driver from Lenovo web site by the support of the Intel boards:

    • former pilot was 11.1.1.11
    • new driver is 12.4.0.21 with a date of 04/03/2009

Went into the BIOS and reset the BIOS to its original, saved and reloaded settings.

Checked the Device Manager.  Everything looks OK, no yellow or red devices

Remove the network card and let Windows re - create.

Disabled and enabled the network card

Check the event logs.  The only entrance is on the system log.  I don't know if this event log entry is significant or not, but it's here:

I would add that "Windows Update" was also not working. Graduation: A few updates have not been installed.  Error code 0 x 41. I had going in downloading and installing the latest version of Windows Installer 3.1, version 3.1.4001.5512

Do not think that there is a relationship between these two issues, but stranger things have happened.

The laptop has a 3-year extended warranty and I'm about to throw it in the face of Lenovo as a hardware error.  The thing that blows my mind is 'Detected wireless networks' followed by 'no wireless networks were found in range ".

    Hi Shawn

Thank you for your help.  Here is the final solution to this problem.

The "clean boot" you suggested worked as described, but it had no effect of awareness of wireless networks.  Ditto to start in "Safe Mode with network.  We took the laptop to Office Depot; They basically ran the same tests that I did, with the same results.  Their technology has managed to get it to connect to Wireless store by manually setting, but it would not show under 'view available networks '.  He suggested that we call their 800 support number.  The only novelty with that phone support guy came was to "Ping 127.0.0.1" which I don't think inherent in the wireless somehow.  He wanted me to call Comcast to check the internet connection.  Under the principle of "do not create a new problem while you're working on a problem", I resisted to go here as two other computers work fine on this connection from Comcast.

We finally opted for a full charge of Windows.  This included a blue key on the laptop at boot to bring up "Rescue and recovery", then by specifying 'Restore my hard drive to the original factory condition' and "don't save all files" - we have previously saved the contents of "My Documents" on a USB key.  This charge really don't take as much time as I thought he might; only about an hour.  Most importantly - WIRELESS NETWORKS APPEAR NOW; and connect as it should!  We had to apply SP3 as reloading he brought back to SP2 status.

I guess the lesson here is that sometimes he just reload Windows is the shortest possible solution to some of these mysterious problems.

I had a hard time to convince me it was a hardware problem, when the system detects wireless networks but are simply not them!

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hello

Formatting/reinstalling is overkill. A bit like buying a new car because you have a flat tire.

To reinstall, you can use either the volume of recovery or the recovery disc, both should work pretty much the same. In general, the product key is located on the system like a sticker (on laptops usually on the bottom). If you can't find yours, you should contact the provider or your network administrator (and in fact, if there is a working system, you should contact them before doing anything).

Before you do this right, you can try this: click Start and type CMD. Right click on the menu entry that appears and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run:

    ipconfig/release

    ipconfig/flushdns

    ipconfig / renew

Allow everyone to finish (return to the command line) before proceeding to the next. When you are finished, close the command prompt. See if that helps with your problems of connection.
