Error: "recovery of a stage of Lenovo is damaged while improving Windows 8.1."

Original title: recovery

Hello people, once again

Recently, burn a few CD on my Lenovo G585 8.1 W running the screen got all "close." It's not stopped, so after about a half hour I stop it manually. I then tried to restart, but the computer wouldn't start windows instead I got the message "preparing to repair PC" and then "diagnose your PC." I was the presented with a number of self-help options. None responded until I got to the system restore. It ran then failed "scanning disk D: /.'" I tried a couple of different restore points, same result. I then ran a file newspaper that says "a patch prevents Windows to start." Failed to establish the cause. »

All that remained was to make fairly drastic total update. It took the machine when he ran W8. Since I tried again to W8.1from where it all started, it downloads OK but manages not commissioning to 82%. Also, I got the message "recovery of a stage of Lenovo is damaged" when I tried.

I hope someone can help

Cordially M.Cutlan

Hi Malcolm,

Please provide detailed information on this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

The Lenovo OneKey Rescue system is an easy to use program that can be used to back up the data on your system partition (C drive) for an easy restoration when required. However, it seems that OneKey Rescue system has been corrupted and it is not letting the entire process.

I suggest to delete/uninstall OneKey Rescue system of the computer and try to upgrade to Windows 8.1 again.

Uninstall, change or repair a program

Once you can reinstall the program again from the Lenovo Web site.

Please post back with the results. We will be happy to help you further.

Missing or damaged file: C:/windows/system32/drivers/ATAPI.sys. (Status: OXC0000098). NO RECOVERY DISK! (lost). How can I recover my system, if possible? It does not even start.

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  The Startup Repair tool can repair atapt.sys.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (click on the F8 key during startup and go into safe mode with network - or using the prompt from the disk, if necessary, several times).  Then we will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator (skip thiis step if you use the disk)...

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  In a best-case scenario, he'll fix Atapi.sys.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

If it does not, then thanks for posting any repetitive error message in Event Viewer on startup (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event viewer - type eventvwr and enter, if do it from the command prompt).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.

I hope this helps.  Post back the results of the analysis and attempts to repair if these do not work.

As soon as it reaches the entry password stagea blue screen appears and starts again with a screen saying black "windows error recovery" with 4 boot options: -.

    1. safe mode

    2 safe mode with network

  • Satellite L45 recovery stops at 17% - ERROR: 10-FC12 - 045D - error recovery

Well, the other day my L45 frozen, so I restarted it-to find that was missing a file of the operating system.

So, I tried the system restore, and it ran until the end where he said he had a problem and closed.
Then I tried the recovery disks. He ran everything from disc 1 to disc 2, began to restore, and then stopped at 17% restored.
I tried the disks several times again and again, it stops at 17% and gives me "ERROR: 10-FC12 - 045D"-"error recovery".

I looked everywhere for this error is specific to, but got no results.

Really, I don't think you can find explanations for this mistake because Toshiba use software RECO for the installation of the OS. My experience says that, in this case, there are two possibilities: either is defective recovery CD/DVD or HARD drive do some problems.

I recommend getting the facilities original Microsoft CD and try to install clean Windows if the facilities procedure finishes successfully. If maybe it is really defective HARD drive and after 17% there is a bad sector.

Check it out. In any case I recommend you contact the service provider authorized in your country. They can say with certainty what the problem is here.

  • Windows error recovery, "load failed with error 1009 (STHIVE #0).

    Hello world

This problem occurred to me yesterday. When I started windows, there is here a dialog box saying "Windows Error Recovery" and below, is

"Unable to start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. "(I don't remember changing anything)

"If windows files have been damaged or misconfigured, startup can help diagnose and fix the problem. If the power was interrupted during startup, choose Start Windows normally. »

There are two options it saying

    -Launch Startup Repair tool

    -Start Windows normally

When I clicked on start Windows normally, seems that Microsoft Corporation loading bar never ends

When I clicked launch a startup repair... A box named "Startup Repair" appeared, saying "Startup Repair is checking your system for problems..." "But after that, it seems that nothing had changed. When I opened my laptop once again, he went to the dialog box saying "Windows Error Recovery" again.

    What should I do now?

Also, I see that this tread on Compaq.com http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01612373 is it safe to do? I ' ts ok for me to lose all my files just to repair this laptop...

The recovery disk worked on the past?

If not and if you attempt recovery of the laptop for the first time while there must be something wrong with the environment and I think that you only have one option:

    Hello

Looks like something was wrong with the recovery process and now Windows may start t. Maybe something messed with the registry or a few important Windows files, so I think that the only option to get rid of it using the Toshiba recovery disc. It will wipe the entire HARD disk and restore the factory settings, normally it should work.

Just so enter the Toshiba Recovery disk and follow the instructions on the screen. Windows will be reinstalled, and you get back to factory settings. :)

  • Re: Satellite A500 - Windows error recovery

I have a problem with my laptop

When I restart my laptop, it tends to be stuck on this windows error recovery screen. It gives me two options
    (1) Lauch Startup Repair
    (2) start Windows normally

Tried both, it turns off, reboots that it ends on the same screen over and over again. Tried to access it via safe mode, nothing helps. tried to fix it through windows disk 7, did not work. tried last good configuration, not good either.

It's the screen that I always end up and it does not go further.

Please can someone show me a few guidelines as to how can I do to fix this problem. I'm a freshman in College, I have no money to take it to a professional. That's why I try to fix it myself as I have urgent need.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Hmm, not easy, but in my opinion it s something wrong with properly installed Windows OS and HDD recovery doesn't work

You have the Toshiba Recovery disk?
If Yes, you can use it to restore the original settings windows. Just boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen, everything that s! :)

  • Question - loop on Satellite L350-170 Windows error recovery

Toshiba Satellite L350-170 - Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 2.00 GHz, 2 GB, 250 GB, 17 "TFT, DVDSM, VHP

My wife bought three weeks ago. Use of the lamp. Everything works fine, until a dialogue of "Startup Repair" appeared. Since then, the machine starts.

    Machine goes into "Windows Error Recovery" immediately after the Toshiba start screen and has the following options;
    (1) run the Startup Repair tool
    (2) start Windows normally

Option 2 results in a blank screen and finally goes back to the screen "Windows Error Recovery".

    Option 1 has the reboot dialog box;

"Your computer was unable to start.
Startup Repair is checking your system for problems... »

At this point, the Toshiba laptop enters an endless loop.

So what I do now? There is no disc came with the laptop, so I can't reinstall the operating system. The dealer (Comet) is less useful and don't know no refund or Exchange for a defective product.

    Can someone please!

    Try this:

Press F8 immediately after that the laptop has been turned on.
Then choose the first option called fix my computer.
Then a new window should open and there you can choose the option called Toshiba recovery.

Please note then this procedure would start the Toshiba HDD recovery and the BONE to relocate again. This would be to format the whole HARD drive and set the OS to the factory settings.

In my eyes, you can use this procedure for recovery of HARD drive, or you can try to reinstall the OS using the Toshiba recovery disc.
Both lead to the same results

    Good bye

    Hello

I think there could be something wrong with the HARD drive I n t mean that the disc is faulty, but maybe a few corrupted partitions or whatever

So it would be desirable, and recommend that you format the HARD drive first.
Usually, this should be done using the Toshiba Recovery DVD but try to format the HARD drive using an original CD of Windows XP.

After the HARD drive has been formatted, try to start again using the Toshiba Recovery DVD

    Hello

First of all, you should tell us what phone you use.

Have you checked the disk for recovery if it s rough or something else?
You can install Windows from a Microsoft installation disc?

In your case, I would try to format the HARD drive before using the Toshiba recovery disc. To format the HARD drive, you can use a Windows XP disk for example.
    Check it!

    Good bye

  • Error recovery Windows on Equium A210

I have a series of A210 running Vista. When you turn on the laptop, I get "Windows recovery error. I then get two options 'Launch start repair' or 'Start windows normally', if I select 'Launch Startup Repair' I get a message: "system recovery options. Cannot start the installed program. Click OK to turn off the computer "by selecting"Start windows normally"round loop"Windows error recovery"message."

This message appeared without any previous problems with the laptop or Vista.

Any ideas on how I'll be back to normal use?

    Hmmm don't look good buddy.
According to your message, you are not able to boot in Vista or using of the * "Launch Start up repair" * or * "Start windows normally" * procedure

Unfortunately, I put t see any other possibility as to take the disk recovery and recovery of the laptop.

It looks like a serious system problem that can be solved only by using the recovery disc and reinstall new OS.
But note; the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer for you will lose all data :(

  • Error recovery MStudioDAQmx.2010.msm dependence * URGENT

I have a solution, Visual Studio 2012, targeting .NET 4.0 with a project of installation program InstallShield 2015. There are two projects in the solution containing references to:

    NationalInstruments.DAQmx 15.5.40.109 and

    NationalInstruments.Common 15.1.40.49152

This is the DLL that is contained in the 'in progress' folder for the download of 15.5 DAQMX.

In an attempt to build the Setup program I get two errors in Installshield

    -4072: error recovery addiction Module_Id_Common_2010_32:1033 to c:\program files (x 86) \common files\merge modules\MStudioDAQmx.2010.msm

    -4072: error recovery addiction Module_Id_Common_2010_32:1033 to c:\program files (x 86) \common files\merge modules\MStudioDAQmx.2010.msm

I assume that it is a mistake by project.

I have urgent need to deploy an updated installation and I'm completely stuck at this point. I tried to add these prerequisites through explicitly in the MSM file (since it has two or three prerequisite showing all with the same generic name and no way to tell them apart) and it did not help. I searched my entire PC for this MSM file and it only appears in the directory named in the error message is not any kind of difference between the different versions in different folders.

In fact, I DIDN'T have to group the installer of data acquisition (manually install us the runtime anyway) but I can't seem to find a way to stop the system to detect and want to consolidate.

    The problem is two-record:

    1. the problem does NOT occur on the DAQmx 15.1 it happens to 15.5; If the project is built with DAQmx installed 15.1, dependence analysis works perfectly and the project builds

    2. due to the #1, InstallShield points to the modules of NEITHER say "DAQmx is not an InstallShield module, and since he has just updated their module you should contact the vendor of the module.

I bypassed myself the problem by adding specifically excludes for DAQ in the Installshield include/exclude XML files so that the dependency scanner would go against the DLL DAQmx 15.5 and then manually including the DLL required two in my project.

    Hi initty,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. What is the number and the model of the computer?

    Method 1

If you are using a laptop, I suggest that you update the drivers for the touchpad from the laptop manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

    Method 2

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
