facility additional tray on 8630

I just set up my 8630 completed, but could not connect the tray extra paper that can't do the packing material from inside the drawer on.  Is there a way to pull drawer to its full capacity?

Hi Muriel,.

I found a video on YouTube Channel HP printer HP support.

It shows how to set up your printer. Different parts of the video showing the 2nd tray are 03:35 - 04:15 and 06:50 - 07:25. Enumerated twice in particular shows how to take the package out of the inside of the tray 2.

I hope it's useful and solves your problem.

So I have a printer Laserjet 600 who repeat his tent raised tray 2 assumed that the engine is down I just here for an overview see if there is anything else I can do. I passed on trays just to make sure that it is not this, but still the message happens.

Does anyone else have this problem? You can simply replace the engine? or does go deeper then that as a control on board is no longer sends the data to activate it?

The number on the left indicates the number of page when the error occurred, the number on the right is the error code.

In this case, your number of pages current is probably higher than the numbers on the left, which means that those who are the old codes and have nothing to do with the current problem.

I just faked the problem on the M602, I removed the tray, determined which finger came out of letter size paper which is the middle finger.

Then I reached in and pushed the switch from the Center to the bottom so that the printer has been trying to raise the tray and after about 10 seconds, he got an error 60.02. I repeated the process twice, in an interesting way, the first time that I had not seen the error immediately, I had to push the home button to access.

I work under the assumption that your machine is not any additional trays under tray 2.

At this point I would replace the DC controller, but I have a spare for troubleshooting if that would make it easier for me than for you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 does not recognize the 2nd paper tray

I've set up the 2nd tray in system preferences by checking the box for an additional tray, although it seems sometimes to uncheck because when I go back to it is checked, it is not. Somewhere I found the Source setting and I saw 2 trays, but now I don't remember where it was to check again. However, when I try to use the parameters to define a default tray and lock in the status bar on the printer itself, it simply does not list the second set as being there. So there is nothing to choose or define. At one point, even though I didn't click to print, it seemed as if he was going to print something but then says there is more paper in the tray. But there was.

I am on an iMac 10.8.5 OS and just bought this printer. I connected with ethernet.

  • Select the default tray when printing from MS Word or any other application HP OfficeJet 8610

    Hello

We have HP OfficeJet 8610 with additional tray. So, we have Tray1 and bac2. That's what I read in the specs of the printer about how we can use the bins:

    • Loaded into all of the paper trays and use paper from a tray if the other tray is empty
    • Loaded into all trays and paper of one of the bins first use
    • Be able to choose plain paper and another type of paper that you use occasionally

    My question is:

Let's say that we have put the tray 2 as the default tray.

In MS Word or any other application in layout, you can define special tray (say 1 tray) paper source. This means that the document should be printed on paper from the selected tray (Tray 1). But in our case, the document is always printed using paper from the default tray (tray 2).

Could you please confirm that this is the expected behavior?

    Thank you so much, Ana.

    Hi @AnaGligorijevic,

I understand that you want to be able to print the same document at different trays and change the setting via the Word software. This printer is not able to change the settings of the tray for different pages in the same document to multiple pages.

To work around this problem, you can use the parameter to "print pages." "Select it print pages selected, then for other pages ' print pages" yet once and then change the parameters of the status bar of the application.

The application, you can change the settings of the tray for 1 page or a multiple page document. But it will print all pages of the specified tray.

Hope that makes sense. Thank you!

    Hello.

I just tried to connect the printer to my Mac for the first time. When I turn on the printer, an error code "60.02 error" appears on the printer. I followed the instructions to turn off and turn on again after making sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet. The guard error reappear. I tried the "fix" several times.

Is there a solution or the machine is broken?

    Thank you

I think it is a mistake to lifting of the plateau.

Get out the paper tray about an inch of so that the printer do not lift and the power cycle the machine.

If you have a machine with additional trays, you can leave the tray with the problem open and use the rest until what it is resolved. You can also use tray 1, tray 2 is open.

I want to add a new 80G hard drive to our office of Dimension and run two hard drives.  When I looked inside the computer, I found the original disk is placed in a 'plateau', but there is no additional tray to put the new drive in.  Is this something that the new hard drive should have come with?  Where can I get another tray to put the new hard drive?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8630: how to install additional color on the 8630 printer cartridges

I just bought an Officejet Pro 8630 with additional color print cartridges.  I went through the instructions but I do not understand where they tell me to insert additional color cartridges.  I've looked everywhere but I still can't find where they need to be installed.  I installed the original color of 3 and 1 black cartridge supplied with the printer in the tray as shown, but when he got to the extra, I'm lost.  I can't find the instructions to install these additional color cartridges anywhere.

    Hello

You cannot install additional color cartridges, the printer uses 4 ink cartridges (black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan).

Additional color cartridges included in the box are intended for future use, once the original ink cartridges is exhausted.

  • Printers HP 8630 (all-in-one): ON HP 8630 is there a quick way to print from the paper locked tray (using a Mac)?

ON theHP is 8630 printer a quick way to print from the paper locked tray (using a Mac)?  I normally print from tray 2 and special letterhead in a status bar.  It would be nice to choose letterhead in Tray 1 at time of printing without having to reset the printer manually.  Is there a way?   Jim1949

    Hi @James1949,

The application, click file and then click on print.

  • HP 8630 will authorize specifying the second tray for printing shortcut.

All-in-one printer inkjet HP 8630 range Pro will not accept specifying the second tray for printing shortcut. Indicates that the parameter is a conflict and obliges the "Printer Auto Select" option instead of allowing me to select "tray 2" which is an option. I like to keep a white shining in tray one and photo paper in tray 2 and made the my HP 8500 Pro for everything that I needed to do is select the appropriate shortcut configured by me to print the photo. Operating system is windows XP Pro.

I want to start by apologizing for not picking up on this on your first post. The 8630 2nd tray print 8.5 x 11 or 8.5x14 paper.

The reason why what impression pictures he says that there is a conflict and if he chooses the main tray is because there is no choice. The printer does not have the ability to print photos from the 2nd drawer. If you're looking to load media into the trays you need 8.5x11 or 8.5x14 in the 2nd tray and other media can be loaded in the main tray.

In the printer's Specifications in paper output specifications > paper tray capacity & Supported sizes of paper in you shows what's available for trays.

Change the source of your document must make all the problems disappear.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8630: Trouble legal paper in tray 2

    Hello!

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer... two problems, I need help. I always use 8.5 x 11 cardstock in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 14 paper in tray 2.

    1. when I print a legal document of the size - and have the setting of the printer, the Auto Select value (for what bin pull) - he STILL has pull Tray 1, not tray 2 (which is the legal document size. I gave up to have auto-select the correct tray, so whenever I choose manually legal under paper size - and tray 2 in order to make it work. How to make this work correctly without haivng to make these changes? Now that's what I'm doing...

    First... Printer Setup/layout page/advanced/legal

    Then... (Printer setting) / Paper Source/tray 2 paper/quality.

    2. my BIGGEST problem is that media type or tray 2 paper type will allow me only to choose "Plain paper" not cardboard. I print color documents full page - so it makes a HUGE difference in quality when I set it to cardstock vs regular paper (to the title of best in the print quality option). It allows me to make this selection to Tray 1 to plain paper, but not for legal reason any.

Subsequent procedure registration to the first question, if I change the Media Type of cardstock, I get an error saying...

"There are one or more conflicting settings. One of the conflicting settings is:

    Input tray - tray 2

    Media Type - cardstock

And then it makes me go back to plain paper for it to print. But when I go on tray 1/letter Sized paper-it works very well. I put legal paper in Tray 1 and tried this way-(legal size, tray 1, cardstock, better) and it prints correctly. BUT, I want it to work with tray 2.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Lauren

    Hey @higgybears,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with printing on cardstock from tray 2 of your 8630 e-all-in-one printer Officejet. The reason why you are having problems is that TRAY 2 is designed to be able to handle only for plain paper. HP recommends using only of plain paper in the second bin. If you pass the paper in Tray 1 when you change jobs, you should not have problems with the software.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • OfficeJet 8630: 2nd tray and huge

Help!  I just upgraded from the Officejet to 8630 8600 and am sorry that I made the change!

    Cardstock

Good grief!  No matter what I try, nothing seems to work constantly.  I got a page to work by selecting the main tray, but then it stopped working.  I hear the rollers trying to pick up the paper, but then I get a message that the printer is in paper.  (Yes, I tried selecting heavier papers in the printer setup dialog boxes).

    2nd tray

HP must be a joke.  I chose the optional paper tray in the printer settings, but then it seems to stop off for reasons I don't understand.  It's an option worthless.

If anyone has any suggestions on what these two problems, I'm open to anything.

    Hello mbab85,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have problems when you try to print on card stock paper.

First of all, the reason why the printer keeps defaulting to Tray 1 is because it's the only Board that supports printing card stock.

What is the size and weight of the card stock you are trying to use?

Here are the specifications of the printer for HP Officejet Pro 8610, 8620, 8630, 8640 and 8660 e - all-in-One Printer Series if you can check if you are in the supported formats and the weight of the paper.

Do not hesitate to write me again anytime, and I'll be happy to help you.

    See you soon,.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: 8630 HP cannot read the paper size / select correct tray

Installed this new printer after you bought specifically for the two plates that I regularly print on letter & legal size paper.  I am disappointed to see that while I have 'legal' or 'letter', defined as the paper type when I sent something to print from word, the printer just draws in the default tray.  I have no option on my mac to select which paper tray to use when I send something to print.  It seems that the only way I can make the selection of the status bar is to go to the printer and change the default setting of the bins.  It is not at all what I thought I was is & am for the first time, disappointed with a product hp =)

  • OfficeJet Pro 8630: Tray 2 by default not recognized on the manual copy

Although I have tray 2 (plain paper), selected as the default tray and Tray 1 (photo paper) locked, manual copy from the printer control panel causes flow use of tray 1.   Tray 2 must always be selected manually if the printer has "slept" since the last copy operation to manual.

How do I get the printer to recognize that the tray 2 IS really the default?

    Hello

From the screen to your printer press on copy, then click settings, then select the required tray.

Then select as set as new default and confirm any change, then try again.
