Framework of biometric Latitude E6420 - Broadcom USH drivers windows

Hi experts,

Ask you to check this old_post

http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19485564/20278666.aspx#20278666

I have the same problem, even after you have reinstalled the drivers in the order as suggested by Dell.

I installed "CV_WBF_Setup_Y2GT8_64bit_ZPE.exe".
[1] double-click on the .exe with option of compatibility in windows 7 and the checkbox on the value

run as administrator (best option).
[2] click on ok for a Floder pop-up.
[3] now install you the driver (this will clear the yellow color material highlighted in)

Device Manager)
[4] reBOOT and then install the Firmware (set to the same level provided firmware along

with driver).
[5] reboot-> connection (with password :-|) and verify biometric devices in control pannel.)
you try to check biometric devices in Control Panel and lettering.

you might get the ERROR below:
"configuration of broadcom ush host components BrcmFMA.exe - by-side is incorrect.
Details correct as below:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Corporation\Broadcom Broadcom

USH Host Components\BrcmFMA.exe. Dependent assembly

Microsoft.VC90.MFC, processorArchitecture is "amd64", publicKeyToken = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", type is "wi

N32', version = '9.0.21022.8' not found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed

diagnosis.

solution is to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x 64).

now the problem is that the finger print data are saving :(
I continued to ask dell support team.
the big joke, it's what they call it as OFF FIELD.
:(

OK Dell has finally released drivers for Windows 8.  Its a few steps so here's how I worked on all our machines.

Uninstall the Dell Data Protection if you have it installed.

Download the firmware and driver here:

Driver: www.dell.com/.../latitude-e6420

Firmware: www.dell.com/.../latitude-e6420

Extract the firmware and install it.  You must run it in high command line and be sure to select the x 64 Installer.

Reset

Once installed, you can install the driver from Dell ControlVault

Restart and you should now see the biometric device.  The software will be Broadcom now instead of Dell and you can save your fingerprints.

Kind regards

Ralu

See security for the Unified Security Hub Broadcom (USH - probably a biometric reader / print) for the device that best matches your hardware:

Have you TRIED same Dell?  They made your computer, they support the drivers for the hardware / equipment.

Visit Support from Dell: drivers and downloads website and enter the serial number of your Dell Latitude E6420 and change the operating system to the correct (including the architecture 32-bit or 64-bit) and download appropriate drivers.

You should get what you need under Windows 7.  Just be sure to install the card mother/mother/chipset drivers, network, communication, etc.  You should have a list of stuff you configured this system with.

  • use or need driver broadcom ush for latitude e6500 running windows 7 Enterprise o/s

I have a Latitude E6500. I've recently updated by the IT Department. with the o/s of Windows 7 Enterprise inst. Formerly, I was running on a Windows XP platform. After analysis of my state of the machine on the Web site updates of Dell, I conclude that it recommends 15 different updates. My main concern is the Dell recommended update checkpoint security. I got two separate recommendations. I also got a message on my computer the Broadcom USH driver is not found.

I would like to know if I need to install the full control Point security update Dell_ControlPoint-security-D_A18_R269916 and also the DELL_CONTROLPOINT-SECURITY-M_A06_R204039 update

Do I have to run both or just one of them.

Also, do I really need to install the full driver package to access the driver for the Broadcom USH or can I select only this driver?

If the full device driver package is installed will then need a security card to access my machine?

Should I have the Broadcom USH driver at all - I use card air and DSL access?

Where the hell are these drivers? I went to the Dell site and downloaded all the drivers available for win 7 64 bit, installed same 32-bit in frustration and found that the same driver is not available on the Dell site... for one or the other! I looked everywhere on the web and can not find this driver set (Control Point security update Dell_ControlPoint-security-D_A18_R269916 and also the update DELL_CONTROLPOINT-SECURITY-M_A06_R204039)... where is this driver package to? :)

  • Latitude E6500 and Broadcom USH

I am trying to solve a problem of driver. I have an E6500 and after installing XP, patches, drivers and other, I find myself with a hardware device not found. It is listed in the Device Manager as '5880' and after some research, it seems to be the Broadcom USH CV for a fingerprint reader. I don't have a fingerprint reader. I extracted the drivers from another system and stressed assistant material there but not good effect. Anyone has a solution to this riddle?

After talking with people from Dell, it was decided (because of other problems besides this one) to build a new image only for our laptop E series; We are currently making the E6400 and E6500, the E4200. When I built the image, I've included the drivers for the fingerprint reader. Is not ideal, but that market. Once the image is deployed and sysprep it made thing, I install all software downloaded from Dell, including security software associated with the fingerprint reader. Once it's the fringe of complete equipment, not more and everything works as advertised.

Now, if someone could tell me how to remove during the installation of the "WiFi networks available" dialog box for the Intel wireless card, I'd be a really happy camper...

    Hello

I can't get the webcam integrated on my Latitude E6420 works correctly. It works fine in my browser at times, on sites like this http://vyew.com/s/browsertest/, but not at all in applications such as Dell Webcam Central and Skype.

Are there other drivers, I can try to install except those automatically detected by Windows 7? I've had no luck in finding such.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Latitude E6420 Dell - made helmet taken stop the internal speakers to work

    recently bought a Dell latitude E6420 i5 - 2520 M 8 GB and I have a very annoying problem with the speakers.

The sound from the speakers worked until I plugged in the plug of headphones into the computer for the first time - when I unplugged the headset internal speakers stop working completely.

What I've tried so far without success:

    • Uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers / windows sound
    • I tried Realtek drivers
    • Helmet off
    • Recovery and reinstall Windows 10

What is strange, is that whenever I have uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers speakers begin to work again until I plug the plug of the headphones and again speakers stop working. Any idea?

Please let me know what you need to know on my computer in order to better understand the problem and I will change the question accordingly.

  • Audio problem with Dell Latitude E6420 and Windows 8.1

    Hello community,

I installed Windows 8.1 on my Latitude E6420 and I can get the sound to work. I installed the drivers available for Windows 8, but he doesn't play any sounds. The only thing that works continuously via a browser (e.g. youtube). When I test the device "speakers / headphones ' this is for me a"Failed to play test sound."but the"helmet of communication"device works without any problem.

I can not activate the device "speakers / headphones" because it blocks other applications (Lync 2013) so I have to keep this option disabled.

I look on the web for similar problems and it all points to the drivers for the video card (!)

Is there a version of driver for this model? Or I can not use the latest version of the software in this model?

Hello. See here for a list of Dell of the models that work with 8 and 8.1. Dell recommends not installing 8.1 on the Latitude E6420 model. Dell said 8 is correct but does not provide an audio driver IDT even for 8. I don't think that there will be provided by any Dell IDT audio driver for 8.1 since it is not recommended to install. This means that you must use the native audio driver supplied with Windows. The native driver is generic and you can usually get audio to work when using it but not all functions are working properly. All I can suggest is to find the generic audio driver in Device Manager (I don't know how it is in the list) and try to 'update' by allowing Windows to search for an update on the internet.

Maybe someone at our Windows 8 jury can suggest an audio driver IDT, you can try to use. If you post here tell them that you already posted on the Audio card to the laptop so that they will not move your message here.

  • Broadcom USH in Dell E6400 drive problem

Device Manager is showing that broadcom USH is missing!

    Reference Dell E6400

a link took me to the dell support site, but the file currupted.

    Hi wildstarclover,

    1. What is the error code for the Broadcom USH drive in Device Manager?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. have you received any disk of driver as well as the player software?

If you have a driver and the drive disc, you can try to install the drivers available on the disk and check if it works.

If the steps above, then you will need to contact Dell support to learn more about the drivers for the drive.

Hello, I have a Latitude E6420 with a fingerprint reader. Unfortunately can use it just for the lgon windows, not to other programs with the password request. Is there an alternative to the software dell or is it just misconfigured?

    Hello and thanks for responding.

    Sorry, I don't understand that.

Can I use my reader of fingerprints for other devices? How to?

    Maybe its my bad English?

I want to use my fingerprint instead of typing the passwords with the keyboard.

If this does not work then why my laptop has a fingerprint reader?

How to activate bluetooth on Dell Latitude e6420

After studying this Bluetooth issue, I learned that Dell don't have not necessarily installed the Bluetooth module on all laptops E6420. I don't see the option on the profile for the online version (hard to believe that they do not have default Bluetooth).

I got the material via ebay and installed it (not plug-and-play or hardware challenged, but possible if you are willing to disassemble your laptop). Subsequently, the Bluetooth then worked as it should. Yet once, why not Dell make this standard Bluetooth rather than trying to save a couple of cents and cause a headache for users?

Your variant of the system doesn't have the Dell Wireless 380 card and that's why it will fail to install.

  • Temperature of the GPU 103C on Latitude E6420

Hi, I recently started the Test PassMark Burn-In version 7 on my i7-2630QM Latitude E6420 with Nvida NVS 4200 M 512 M card. During the test, I noticed that the temperature of the GPU is about 103C and software reported "Test failure" due to the high temperature.

The temperature of the CPU is also high, around 93 C.

Is this normal? I would return this laptop?

    Thank you

It is a known problem with the E6420 14 "laptop and the Quad core CPU. I have an E6420 and E6520. The E6520 manages the heat much better and higher out of GPU and 95 c 85 CPU when you run Diablo 3 for an hour on the resolution max and max graphics settings.   My laptop comes with the heatpipe heatsink only, he would downclock the CPU because of excessive heat and same judgment. After I got the radiator double pipe with a new thermal pad, my time is up to 100 ° C max on CPU and GPU and cell phone stops is more due to overheating.

The problem is Dell packed plenty of power in a computer 14 "laptop. When running at load max, the cooling system can not just keep it up. Dell should really fix this, but you can do some improvements on your end. FYI - don't try if you are not comfortable to do this or are tech / mechanical savvy.

    Here's what I recommend:

1 make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS installed. Dell changed the thermal curves for the fan of the bios updates.

2 make sure you have the radiator HEATPIPE DUAL DELL P/N - TYP01. My E6420 comes with heatsink tube bad in the photo below.

One pipe radiator - ONLY for the DUAL CORE i5, i7. NOT FOR i7 QM QUAD CORES.

    Forum.NotebookReview.com/.../564579-E6420-Owners-thread-83.html

There is a "gap" between the radiator and the Nvidia NVS 4200 M GPU. Dell uses a NOTE from the ADMIN: profanity removed according to the TOU > heat transfer heat pad. many users have done the following to reduce even lower time by replacing the thermal pad with a wedge of copper sandwiched between two layers of thermal paste / compound. I don't know that Dell probably does not support below this mod even if users have reported the lowest time after the mod which stresses in turn of components less.

3 order the copper shim kit. www.eBay.com/.../260718120394

    4. use a good thermal paste / made up for example ceramics 2: www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx

Finally - browse the forums on this site because there is a lot of information on your E6420.
