  I have 6713 PXI module in my chassis PXI-1044. I have configured the PXI-6713 module to geneate some analog signals to my Board of Directors.

  Council inturn process this analog signal and answers in return the status signals through a registry to the Board of Directors. In my application, the status bits in the register state of the governing body are mapped on the PFI 0:3 bits of the PXI-6713 (pins 11,10, 42 and 43) module.

  My query is how can I configuration lines PFI as 6713 PXI module entries to read these status bits?

  May be less than the explanation could give you little more information w.r.to my request.

  When I use NI USB - 6008 module to read the same bits, because this unit has 12 e / s digital, I was able able to read the status bits in the last 4 digital lines by setting up those digital lines as input.

  In the PXI-6713 module, I have only 8 digital lines. These 8 digital lines I used to send digital signals to the Board of Directors. I find myself with no digital i/o. Therefore, I could not use these digital lines. I'm left with only one option to use. Joana re PFI lines. Also the bits of status in the axis of the room are mapped such that the bits can be read through the PFI lines.

  I was wondering do we have any example code to use inorder to read these status bits to the Board of Directors using the PFI lines.

  When using the PFI PIN as input, you can individually configure each PFI for edge detection or level and the selection of the polarity.  This information of PFI are referenced in the manual of Series DAQ Analog Output on page 6-1 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/370735e.pdf).  Unfortunately, the PXI-6713 PFI lines are able to time a signal input and output for functions, AO or counters/timers.  The ability to create static DI of the PFI lines is not available for the PXI-6713. However, some cards have this capability.  The latest National Instruments products with PFI lines have the option of setting as PFI lines:

  1. Static digital input
  2. Static digital output
  3. Input signal of sync for functions HAVE, AO, DI, or counters/timers
  4. Output signal of the calendar functions HAVE, AO, DI, or counters/timers

  When the static value such as DIO, PFI lines are assigned to a different port (for example. PFI0-7 is Port1).  More details on this subject can be referenced at:

• Syncronize to acquisition of data with the generation of signals

  Hello everyone,

  My request is generate pulses on the output of two different to drive two LEDs and acquire detected pulse signal amplified photodiode.

  Actually pulses are generated by starting the writing on the analog output, and then start the acquisition (I need 200ms on average), stop the acquisition, turn off the driving LED and develop the acquisition and record the results.

  All this in a cycle it takes about 1.5 seconds to run.

  Next step would be to drive the outputs with a waveform (duty cycle of 50% of width of 250 ms) and acquire the signal of the photodiode in synchronization with the edge of the pulse.

  I tried to use the trigger function, but the examples are not clear on how to do it.

  I use NI 9205 or 9215 to acquire signals.

  Is there a particular entry to be used as a trigger?

  Here is the page of the product: NI PXI-6713.  There not all analog inputs.

  This signal is too fast for all Multifunction DAQ products of NEITHER.  If you want to stick to the material OR you need something OR-Scope line.  I would start by looking at the NI USB-5133.

  This may work for a graph where it will automatically draw lines between points.  But if it comes to the generation of signals, it won't look like that.

  Look at the function of ramp model.  Which allows to build the parts in signal Hill and initialize the array to build from scratch the parts and flat parts.  Then use table build with CONCATENATE entries in order to combine these tables into one.

• Memory of the PXI - 6562 Max per channel

  I have two questions.

  I have a PXI - 6562 and a data set is 256 MB (32 MB). I want to send the data in this dataset on a single axis of I/O serial. basically, I would like to spend my little of a set of data at the same time on both edges of the clock on an axis of IO. I don't like on the other IO pins. Is this possible with the PXI-6562 or all bits in each octet in the memory of the card corresponds to a specific channel.

  If I can't send my data in series then I will accept that to encode every bit in my data set in the form of byte with a bit of data and the other zeros. This means that, for a set of data from 256 MB, I would need 8 times more memory 2048b. I understand that there are a total of 2 GB of RAM on the PXI-6562. Is this all addressable RAM in series? I can write the data of all the 2 GB of RAM for say 8 i/o ports?

  With the PXI-6562 even if you want to only output a channel you must always write in a format of U8. So, as you describe you that a single bit, worries you, and you will need to set to 0 for the rest. This means that all data that you generate will be the value of 256 MB of data, because the smallest unit you can write with the HSDIO driver is the U8.

  Now in regards to moving data on the two edges of both sides of the sample clock, this is called Double flow of data and is available with our devices OR 656 X and 6547 and 6548 devices. We have a developer area which details the DDR option more.

  In reference to the memory of the generation, the width of the data to the memory of the generation is not configurable by the user. This means that if you have the 128 MB / channel option your total memory available per channel is 512 Mbit/channel. Because the width of the generation of data is set to 1 byte, and you get 4 times the memory per channel mode DDR with the 6562. The KB below explains the behavior. Look under the section 'Generation '.

  So, in summary, the total of 2 GB memory won't be available for a single channel, but you have a total of 256 MB/channel available for each channel. Since you are really interested in only one channel you will be able to write data from 256 MB to you. As you would put all your data on the memory of the card you have to the flow of the disc on your generator HSDIO card. To do this, we have some examples:

  However, there will be a bottle neck on your PXI backplane data, because the basket max transfer rate will be around 100-110 MB/s you will not be able to cope with your generation session. Since you will write in U8s each sample is 1 byte, which means that the best you can hope to stream would be around 100 MHz or more.

  We have not the cards LVDS SMU (PXI Expresss) which would allow you to have a superior data through-put, but if you do not necessarily need the LVDS, we have other options. I'm guessing you need LVDS or you would not the 6562.

  The other option is to write you data in parallel in the 8-bit generation DDR and then use an external serializer for an 8 to 1, then you would be able to use all of the available memory and you would probably be able to fit all your data on the memory of the card and you do not have to stream from the disc. This external serializer allows you to put your first data point on channel 0, second data point on channel 1 and one until you loop around back and have your second sample generated between the way 0 be your 8th overall your waveform data point.

  Hi, I'm new in collaboration with redpitaya and labview.

  I've been trying to get the example of the "generation of signals a synchronized pulse and acquisition" has worked with labview. But I have a few problems.

  FISLY, when I downloaded it, some varibles where the wrong type, so connection could not be made (fig. 1). So I use a block converter (from string to number) in order to solve this problem, because he wan't work I changed directly two of the entries from string to number and I kept the conversion of the rest of the string variables (picture 2).

  I was getting an error, but the example did not work properly. When I play run, it only resgisted noise, but not the signal that it was created (image 3). I changed the table (chanel I used, amplitude, frequency, the shape of the signal itself)
  To check that the wire and the RF input and output was OK I tried to change the signal, put it on my hand and the change in signal to noise, but there was still noise (picture 4). I tried each entry and exit, but I still have the same signal: noise.
  To conclude: I can't do this example to work.

  In addition, I have a question on this example, the labview and Redpitaya libraries: How can I change input 1 input 2 and from exit 1 to exit 2, because I don't see that option 1 of chanel and chanel 2, but it does not say what combination of input and output is. and I can't find the block to edit entries and exits

  Entries you 'fixed' are not numbers, looks like they are channel names. The representation has changed some time ago, but it is an example of the former.

• Can't see the new PXI cards on my remote

  I am currently reconfiguration from a 1006 PXI chassis for a new program. It was adding three new cards in the system. The configuration is currently:

  Each card can be seen by MAX on the PXI chassis when started in Windows very well. However, when I start in the program in time real and you connect to the chassis using my office (and MAX), the remote system appears well, but with none of the new cards listed. (They are listed in the vacuum or unknown). I am at a loss to get these cards recognized. They seem to be installed correctly, as the own of the MAX station can see them. But apparently I missed a step in their installation... I am relatively new to this, can you help me?

• Satellite M40-284 - no signal on the screen

  Hello. I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba M40 284.

  I had a few probemms with load, I send it to a service, they have changed something, but for the installation of the new coin, they used a program and they didn't remove it the office.

  After a week I had problems with it and I tried to reinstall this component. The problem is that this executable file I guess that it has deleted my BIOS. After that I started it my computer was completely blocked and afer completely refused to do it again.
  When I try to start it tryes just to open, but I can see no signal on the screen, and after 3-4 seconds it stops and tryes to start up again but is the same, it stops again. I removed the disk hard but is you same.

  What can we do in this situation?

  Maybe it's a program for (re) Flash the BIOS or something else I n s t know because I m not a technician for laptop.

  I think that in this case you can do anything, but did contact the authorized service provider? I think they can help you more as we here in the forum. They should know what program it is and how to solve this problem.

• 750se envy: envy of the brand new office no signal to the monitor via HDMI

  Just got my new 750se envy and 25 x 25 backlit monitor. After putting it all together, I connect the monitor of the Tower via HDMI. Tower boots, display lights, I pop in setting up the drive, but the monitor says that it cannot find a signal. I test my old monitor to the new Tower (a monitor of series pavilion aged 7 years). Same results. The Tower seems to be the treatment given that you can hear what it read the disc.
  
  I take another hdmi cable and and test exactly as described above. New monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal. Old monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal.
  
  Just to be sure, I plug my new monitor to my old HP Pavilion desktop computer. Tower lights up as usual, and the new monitor immediately comes to life with color. I can safwly guess it's the tower. I open the side panel and check all jacks to make sure they are warm and fully attached. Nothing seems to be loose or out of place.
  
  I start to sting online for answers. I met this reset of the BIOS. Press F10 to 8 seconds, down, 3 times arrow, enter twice and restart. Nothing. Still no signal. Can I assume there is something wrong with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and windows the cause? Maybe turn hdmi ports are messy? It was the only other subjects I really found on the issue. Everything seems to work, just no signal between the monitor and Tower.

  Recently I bought laptop Toshiba Satellite L50D-B - 14 p and the wifi signal is very very low.

  Did you put the maximum performance of WiFi in the power station you use?

  Please don't be mad at me but different Wlan modules support different standards and sometimes it can happen that the router Wlan and Wlan module/card don t work properly because of Wlan channels and settings (WPA/WPA2 AES, TKIP) encryption standards.

  Last but not least, there could be a problem with the WLan antenna... of course it would be a worst case and this must be checked by an authorized service provider.
