• Generic error Datasocket 42 on window minimize

  I use LabVIEW Datasocket connections on LabVIEW 2009 to write to an Kepware OPC server.  I write 64 tags.  It works as expected with local as well as remote OPC server.  The loop that writes each value is able to run and update of values with a wait of 10ms inside the loop.  I have only run problems when I reduce or restore the façade, the block diagram or the window of the probe.  I have 42 error: generic error of Datasocket Open.vi.  This seems unrelated to the DCOM problems that seem to be the cause of this error.  I tried this with local and remote OPC servers, and I got the same result.  Setting loop rates, but 1 second seems too fast it runs without error to launch on minimize.  With 1 second wait, it takes more than a minute to update 64 tags, which is unacceptable for my project.  It is quite easy to simply do not minimize windows while it is running, but that shouldn't be a problem.  I also noticed that several times trying to restore a minimized window, while running the program, I have to click several times on the window in the taskbar before it restores.  I use this on a Dual Core system with 4 GB of RAM 2.8GHz, so the performance of the system should not be a problem.  Ideas or suggestions or additional troubleshooting steps are welcome.  Thank you.

  The last time I uninstalled all .net 1.1 and reran the updates for this problem on another processor.

  This time, add/remove doesn't let me delete 4.0 scope, connect said generic error of confidence.

  I only have 1 user, administrator and am logged on as administrator.

  Help please...

  I think that if all 1.1 .nets uninstalling and reinstalling will fix this.

  I suggest to uninstall all versions of .net Framework completely from your computer by using the removal tool and then try to install .net updates the work of structure.

  There is no harm to try this tool as well. Also, try the built-in tool Windows as I mentioned in my previous post. And yes the fatal errors during the installation are of concern.

  You can also try to update .NET framework to the latest version and it is a good idea to run the hard drive or mistakes at this stage.

• Import video generic error

  File type: MP4 GoPro

  This is the same format, I've been using for a long time and never affected by this problem.

  The MP4s are saved on an external 4 TB hard drive if they are imported using the add media to the project.

  This will import the other MP4s without error from the same external hard drive. The file in question plays in media players, I generally use VLC and seems to have no known errors, but importing generic error remains.

  It is also a working file so I don't want to have to re - filming the video that sometimes occur.

  Yours is not the same situation that the original, poster will more.

  In your case, you are probably dealing with a file with a variable rate, something you can fix by converting the file with the brake hand.

  If you want to discuss this further, please start a new thread so that your conversation is not to be confused with Smit.

  There has never been a previous issue with cadence, regardless of film in 30 frames per second or 60 fps +, so don't know why it should even be converted. Never once in the past, been using EPA 9, 11, 12, 14 years old, has a MP4 needing anything else than import.

  Somehow the file is not full (even if he plays well in VLC) and EPA doesn't.

  Have you tried running the file through brake hand?

  At least try to convert at a rate not variable before dismiss you the idea outright.

  I'm starting my first project of video clip using 13 items first. When I try to add a music file I get the message "the importer reported a generic error." I read here that iTunes can prevent their music is used, but I used the music exactly a year ago during the use of the 10 items and I also tried to add music from other sources other than iTunes and I get the same message.   I copied several video files from my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7) and tried to import them in first 14 elements. Some of them import successfully, some of them will result in a failure of the support add with the message "the importer reported a generic error." Looking for the files causing outages, I noticed they have a rate lower than all other files. The majority are 29 and those who fail are 27 or 28 fps. Is there a way to fix this error or around?

  Your music is on iTunes?  Please convert your file into WAV version using iTunes, and then import that WAV version in the Premiere Elements project using the first elements add Media/files and folders.
