• Satellite C660 - right of the screen will flash green

  Hey, I wonder if someone can help me - the screen on my satellite C660, only about two months old, started flashing green stripes a couple of days after I set the screen forward slightly. Nothing has got rid of him, and whenever the screen is moved it flickers more strongly or turns into a solid green Strip.

  I thought that this could be a problem where the screen connects to the computer, but I looked around the hinges and it seem not to be the son of cowards. I have not yet contacted Toshiba because I'll have to call their support number UK since France, which will cost a bomb, wonder if anyone here had any ideas first? If it happened to someone else?

  I put t know where you bought this laptop but every laptop purchased in Europe has guaranteed EMEA then please call authorized Toshiba service provider in the country where you live now and ask for help. You have the new laptop and if there are some hardware related question lets fix that.

  Hello everyone, I'm new here. My G570 is old a few years and just recently started showing a pink screen with a few green vertical bars on the side of HR of the screen. Can see traces of green vertical lines through the pink colouring. Has said that it may need a replacement of the screen. Any truth to this?

  My flash drive was working fine then all of a sudden on any browser, I tried Google Chrome, IE, Firefox and Opera, he plays the clip but has 2 of the same clip crushed on the other (so that you try to watch a movie on a 4:3 ratio 16:9 aspect ratio) & he has a brilliant green stripe between the 2 collars to... I tried to uninstall and reinstall but it still it! It does on any website I tried to watch the clips on & it's driving crazy me!

  PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN, I WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!

  First thing to try: disable hardware acceleration (Flash Player settings).

  If this does not resolve the problem, provide more information, i.e. your OS & version.

• Hypernating Ubuntu 8.1 + suspend problems on satellite A300-15 has

  I got a Satelite A300-15A and I installed the top Ubuntu operating system. But every time that I put it to suspend or hypernate, it starts again.
  When I press the power button I get a black screen with glitch (green stripes on top)

  It is not easy to offer a solution to this. Satellite A300 is not supported with this problem and Linux, you're on your own.
  Check some Ubuntu forum. You're more likely to get good advice there.

  Otherwise, if Ubuntu works well you should be happy about it. This little problem shouldn't be that important to you.

  If iPod shuffle is not synchronized to iTunes, you may need to reset.  Here's how:

  To reset your iPod shuffle, follow these steps:

  1. If your iPod is connected to your computer, unplug it.
  2. Move the switch on iPod shuffle OFF. When set to Off, you will not be able to see the Green Strip.
  3. Wait ten seconds.
  4. Put it on one of the game. You will be able to see the Green Strip.

• Open tabs which unused for a few minutes is no longer working and make me lose the page on what it is.

  I like to keep an eye open at all times, and Firefox has recently begun to spoil my tabs while I've never had a problem with this before. I think it started after the last update of Firefox.

  As mentioned above, if a tab remains open but unused for a few minutes while he was working in the other tabs, logo of the site next to the title of the page (for example Amazon 'a' logo with the arrow below "Your orders" for example) is replaced by the green rotation ring that usually indicates the loading, but it runs a lot faster that it did when it actually does something. When you click on the tab to open it again, it's just a blank tab and I have to manually track down the page that I was again. However, when I disconnect my computer or restart it so that the legs have the rings of green spinning on them, the next time I open Firefox once connected to my computer, it opens all tabs and the correct pages, but that if I did not click on / open one of the tabs so that they had the ring of green rotation thus making their return to blank tabs. If I click on a tab with green spinning ring (making it empty), then log start/stop and reopen Firefox on connection back to my computer, Firefox will have indeed lost the information on the page and he re - opens in a blank tab, as it was when the system is disconnected. On top of that, if the tabs are doing this fast spinning glitch green ring, he did everything I'm working on the slow race, such as making a video shift watching on Youtube. If I see that happen, I am obliged to go click on the tab (loss of his data in the process) and manually go back to the page, that I was still just once so that it stops make the green ring of fast rotation and I can watch my video smoothly, but it lasts only a few minutes before these pages start the glitch green ring once more and I have to repeat the process.   It becomes very irritating and it's working in Firefox a huge concern, as happens constantly. Please fix this. Firefox has never done this to me before, so I don't understand why it's happening now. I have not downloaded or installed the new plug-ins or add-ons for Firefox, so I know I did nothing to the program to cause this.

  The current versions of Firefox use the sessionstore-backups folder to store a few copies of the sessionstore file to make it possible to recover a few errors caused by a bad closing down.
  The 'upgrade.js with the attached version identifier are created when Firefox is updated.
  Previous versions of Firefox created the file sessionstore.bak with the attached version identifier.
  So that look OK.

  You can start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

• a window opens but is empty

  When I try to open Firefox, a window opens but it is all black with a green stripe at the top. No toolbar or the controls are visible to reduce, max or close other then. Uninstalling and reinstalling firefox did nothing. System Restore did nothing. I still have access to the internet using another browser, but I never use firefox and hope I can get it back! I've also tried going to start firefox.exe - p, but that box pop up is too just black. I ran my Norton full scan & it says no threat detected. I am at a loss. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

• My ipod shuffle 4g suddenly off automatically? !!

When I hold the "voiceover" button in order to change my playlist button and press "play/pause", my ipod turns off automatically (sometimes, not always), but after a few seconds, when I turn it on, it works.   I understand that your iPod shuffle is sometimes turn off unexpectedly when using VoiceOver. In such a situation, the first point of departure would be to reset your iPod shuffle by placing the switch on the device to the OFF (with the hidden green band) position, wait ten seconds, and then slide the power switch back to the position WE.

  If it does not stabilize your iPod, please visit the iPod shuffle troubleshooting and service FAQ.

  1. Disconnect iPod shuffle from your computer (if connected).
  2. Set the switch on iPod shuffle to the OFF position. Note that, when the iPod shuffle is off, the Green band of the switch is not visible.
     

     1st generation	2nd generation	3rd generation	4th generation

  3. Wait five seconds. For iPod shuffle (3rd and 4th generations), wait ten seconds.
  4. Put it on the play in order or the shuffle position. The green stripe will be visible in both positions. For iPod shuffle (2nd and 4th generations), slide the power switch on (and you can see the Green band).

• LCD TV 26AV500A - trouble composite input

  I just bought a 26AV500A LCD TV and input composite is having some problems. The input signal is 576i and initially the TV takes very well. The problem is it will often fall to a black screen for about one second, and when the image is flipped one of the following conditions occurs:

  (1) the image is back to normal

  Is the defective TV, or what should I do to fix this? If it means something I'll use input component in the shortest but is the TV damaged according to the problem here?

  As you will probably see this forum is designed for computer systems from Toshiba and I do not think that anyone here will offer any solution for the TV feature.
  If you have questions about the TV, try to contact your local dealer. They should have enough experience with this stuff.

• Need of new graphics card for my Satellite Pro M10

  I guess that my graphics card is broken because the quality of the screen is bad a flickering with green stripes. Almost impossible to read what is on display. In the list of devices, the graphics card is marked with the yellow triangle symbol.

  Its seems not to be a driver issue because it's the same thing at the start when you get into the bios (before windows xp starts).

  Is it possible to change the graphics card myself? I know, could be difficult, but I guess that I am capable of killing.
  But what card I can use? Now, it's a GeForce4 Go 410.
  Can I take a better as long as it's the same size and the need for cooling than the former? How do you know that you can adapt and where to buy?

  Unfortunately, you cannot swap the graphics card because it s soldered on the main PCB (printed circuit board). If theres anything with Exchange of DIY. You will need to swap the whole motherboard to fix this error.
  Then if you still have warranty then bring your machine in an ASP. You can also bring your machine to an ASP when not in warranty, but you will be charged for the Exchange/repair of the motherboard and in your case, it could cost about 300-$500 (I'm just guessing, it can be much more expensive..)

• OfficeJet 4630: Question of scanning OfficeJet 4630

  I used my Officejet 4630 without problem for more than a year, but today, when I try to scan, the image is very dark and has green stripes down the entire image.  Copy attached scan (photos polaroid in a ring-bound album.  The scanner glass is clean and I have tried a hard reset, but the results are the same.  Could advise you on the next steps?

  What happens if you try to make a copy with the printer? Copy of Documents or Photos.

  In addition, when you open the lid of the scanner during the copy/scanning process, you see a light turn on and the scanner bar move?

• error to load paper in the tray of the printer

  Although I have a lot of paper in the tray of the printer, my hp c309g-m all-in-one printer screen tells me to load paper, that is, the clip from the sensor to the rear does not work (the one with the Green Strip of rubbery material about it, I guess.) I removed and put it back on a few times, thinking it was wrong set, but it didn't work.  I cleaned the rollers, etc., too.  I try to use the same types of paper, I used for a year without problem.

  I have half of my book printed and don't want to change printers because the quality is not exactly the same thing. so, I would BE ESTATIC IF someone COULD HELP me to SOLVE THIS PRINTER.

  You need to contact HP about whether a repair is possible.  It is a hardware problem, not a software problem, and you can do that in Windows can ignore this error.

• NEVER, received WIDOWS updates

  HELLO, I have "WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM". A Presario, HP 2GIG Desktop.I have not tried anything yet, because I'm not a pro, but can follow easy tasks or repairs. I sent my computer to HP for repair, (replacing the "audio in" 1/8 input plug on the back.) I did it under the warranty return in early August, 08. then I noticed a few months later than the automatic UPDATES every night, I plan on 03:00 have not been carried out since August 13.08. A lot of times, when I turned off my computer, it will say on the screen, ' don't close or disconnect the computer because they have to do 1 of 5 (or more), updated.» It usually takes about 3 hours at least and as long as 4hours to do. Then when I look at it, it shows things 50 or 60 who have been updated, or tried to put up-to-date. The only ones that are updated are those of 'Mirosoft Office', (which I NEVER even not looked) and some of the SAFETY of those. ALL those, (the least40 or 50), those for WINDOWS, listed as IMPORTANT, NEVER updated. They do NOT always succeed. I made easy things like going to "START" and then on "WINDOWS UPDATES" and it handmade, and he says always "No new updates available" I went where the UPDATES can be CLOSED or IT TURNED and made sure the box where is the 'ON' is enabled in it. I clicked on any where where UPDATES can be tried, as one where the ball goes from left to right, the image of the computer and the world, and also one where the Green strip along the area until it is done and said there is no new update, but I see that there are the updates but never settle. I use (or want to), use it to a recording studio, with a decent program like "SONAR HOME RECORDING STUDIO", so I don't mind take off games no longer us use, so those, (Besides that HP warranty work), may have had something to do with this problem. There is nothing connected to, or with the computer, not even a printer. It's all there, it's Tower, the Moniter and keyboard and the "COMCAST" Modem provider. • Malfunction A7000 camera in meeting places

  All using the outputs on the camera for a video fuzzy and uncertain in landscape (front and rear) with a yellow and Green Strip on top. But this only occurs when using the meeting places and that too in fashion landscape.
