• Vista Start everywhere and I have no disks = what to do now? a NON-techie person needs help here

  Bonnie, you are on an online forum, this isn't a team of engineers from Microsoft technical support! It is a voluntary group of people who help others. You only posted your question a few hours ago, you need to chill out and wait for someone to notice your message on the thousand questions here.
  Now, if you want the answer to your question, you will need to provide more information, tell everyone about your pc.

  Who is the manufacturer of your computer? and what version of Vista are you using?

  Your computer may have a recovery partition that can be used to restore your computer to its factory settings. Find out how to get here: http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/h/hiddpart.htm
  If your computer does not have a recovery partition, you WILL need a Windows Vista disk you need to somehow download online or get a disk from someone else. Sometimes, you can reorder a replacement from the manufacturer's recovery disc. You will need to check with them.
  If successful to download an ISO of Vista, see: How to create a disk for Vista startup repair
  Once you have the disk, you can perform the repair
  How to fix Windows Vista using Startup Repair automatically
  P.S. Your problem is a common one, there are thousands of guides out there that show exactly how do. Just Google it or go to YouTube.
  If you are unable to do, bring it to a repair shop, they will have to the disks and can do it in a few hours or less.

• If I change my Firefox browser rather that Internet Explorer, I've always will have access to my files that were saved using IE? Please an answer non-techie.

  I received notice that my browser (IE) is obsolete and will be soon be unsupported. All of my files have been saved in Internet Explorer, and I'm afraid I won't be able to access it if I change to another browser, but I'll soon lose access to them in any case, I guess. Is this true? Do you have any suggestions? I am a person without a lot of tech knowledge please answer using the no-tech language.

  Yes, you will still have access to your files even if they have been saved through IE.

  1. did you last changes made on your computer before the show?

  2. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

  3 - is the same mouse work on different computers?

  Perform the following troubleshooting steps:

  The fact in the same way a techie.  Open a prompt, type command:

  ARP d *.

  then close the command window.  If the ARP command complains it must be run as an administrator, log off and turn it back on as an administrator and try again.

• Windows 7 included drivers for my printer hp deskjet 6840, but they are no longer there. I have been unable to rind a solution, same arter an hour with the help of ms tech. Any ideas?

  After a long distance move, I created my computer exactly as it had been.  My deskjet 6840 no longer works.  A ms service technician took a drivers installed to another computer and now it prints when telegraphed, but not wireless.  Download HP site said no downloadable drivers, and Microsoft does not support any help.  I would just use another printer, but I have a few hundred dollars for a value of ink cartridges for it and am not prepared to throw.  Anyone have any ideas?

• Help a non - AS3 programmer

  I m a PHP developer and donot program in AS3, but as you know the developers I understand little AS3 without having read his help. But because I'm not an expert in AS3 I m in trouble now. Please forgive my stupidity.

  I have a fla file, which is essentially a work. The main screen of the flash software looks to below.

  

  After asking 10 questions (it's the end of the work), he calls a file called "shared_assets.swf" (there is a file in the server called "shared_assets.swf", but this isn't the problem). Now my guess is that called "shared_assets.swf" should be in the AS3 script (because there are a lot of other file embedded in swf which are resources I think, rite?), but even after having checked each script, strangely, I don't see any call to 'shared_assets.swf '. Please see the preview below to see all the scripts. I saw all the scripts of ' Actions: frame 1' to ' Actions: frame 207' but there is no clear call to "shared_assets.swf".

  

  My question is simple ' you guys can tell me where the call to 'shared_assets.swf' is be done?

  Based on the upper left of the second picture that show you, it's possible that you use AS1 or AS2 instead of AS3.  You can confirm which version in the Flash of the publication settings section and see which version is specified.  If you use AS1/2, it is possible the code you are looking for is attached to buttons or other objects.  To see if this is the case, you must select the object on the stage, while the Actions panel is open to see if there are any code attached.

  AS3 does not allow to join the code, so all the code will be either in deadlines (peek inside movieclips as well) or separate .as files.

  My trusty T42-2378-R6U runs out of room.  I want to upgrade the hard drive, but I don't know what steps I have to take for this.  I am running Win XP.  Please start from the beginning... I've never done this before.

  While I'm this should I install more RAM?  I currently have 1 GB installed.

  All other maintenance things I do while I opened the machine?  Replace the fan?

• Help! None of my pages print! 2512 HP all-in-one

  I just changed the black ribbon HP 61.  Now nothing is printing.  Print only the images and photos.  I checked the HP printer Assistant - it will not be open so that I can see the ink level.  Checked the 'Advanced' and the print quality is set to black ink only.  When I changed to grayscale, the same thing has happened - no TEXT prints.

  If anyone knows which would cause the text does not print?

  I just changed the black ink, put in a new black ink, and it seems to be printing.  Thus, it seems that I bought a BUM (bad) ink cartridge.

  • Have you tried to connect the SD card with the other computer?

  From the information provided, it may be that the system needs the driver installed Raid Controller to display the drives.  If you have a hardware vendor, their site probably has the correct Raid for your review system controller, you would get the revision of this driver HARD DRIVE and extract the on a Flash DRIVE or CD/DVD to be inserted because you are invited during the boot for chkdsk.

  Verify that this is the case, if you are under warranty, maybe it's something that you will confirm from the information on the configuration through your hardware provider.  They may include a different process or be able to lead to another disk.

  Please keep us informed if any other suggestions must be.

• BlackBerry Z10 cannot connect Outlook Contacts and calendar

  I've seen similar problems on this blog but could not find solutions so bear with me if anyone has an answer to repeat.

  I bought a BB Z10 in March and use it with a PC equipped with Microsoft 13 - version 365.  I see all my emails, contacts, calendar and tasks for my Hotmail account.  I can get emails from my Outlook account.  When I contacted my service provider, they said that there is a problem with my internet provider (Fat Cow).  When I contacted them they said I had an add-on of my basic (surprise but OK!) package more additional 3rd party software software, which I went and saw a message, it does not support BBZ10 or Q10.

  I can't seem to find an answer of Blackberry and the 3rd party provider does not support Z10

  Maybe I should have listened to my wife and got an i-Phone

  FYI to all who may read this and/or has helped.  Semi - operator error

  I thought that I had updated my Blackberry link to the latest version.  Apparently I didn't.  Else that to be a slow process (at least with my computer) it syncs now when connected to my PC.  For the wireless sync, I think I need to upgrade to Microsoft Exchange.
