  I have a T410 with NVS 3100 M, using a HD TV for monitor via a DVI-HDMI cable.

  Answering my own question... changed the resolution under the NVIDIA control panel update settings in HD, 1080 p, 1920 x 1080 (recommended) at 50 Hz SD and it seems to fix the problem. Previously it was set at PC 1920 x 1080 (native) at 60 Hz refresh.

  Movie Maker can have problems of compatibility with the MPEG files...

  Check the following if you use IE9.

  Open windows control panel, open Internet Options and click the Advanced tab.  Under the graphic acceleration, make sure you there is not a tick against 'use made instead of GPU Rendering software.  If it is, uncheck the box and click on apply to save the change.  Restart IE.

  If the above doesn't help (or does not), download the latest installer of Flash Player and save it to your desktop (I realize that you already have the latest version, but it may be best to completely uninstall before reinstalling the latest version).  Then, close all browsers, open windows control panel, open programs and features and uninstall Flash Player.  Once completed, restart the laptop.  Now, double-click on the Setup program on your desktop to reinstall Flash Player.

  Another option is to download and install Firefox as a temporary measure, as the latest version of Adobe Flash seems to work OK with that - you may need to run the installer of Flash again after installing Firefox.

  I have a printer HP psc2410 xi photosmart all-in-one.  After using it to scan a few times it seems to lock up and display a regular hourglass in the window of the printer.  I'm not able to turn it off or reset it. I can unplug the power and plug it back in there and still nothing. y at - there a reset somewhere inside the printer? It is to connect via a wireless connection to my laptop which uses vista OS window.

  You mentioned 1.5 GB of RAM, even if it is higher than the minimum requirement of 1 GB, it is weak to implement features like the Aero interface. Aero is very graphic intensive and can consume a lot of memory.

  Try to uncheck the box next to 'use acceleration hardware when available' in the Options. Worked for me!
