HP 8600 (CM749A) supports duplex scanning? (Answer: no)

I can't find this information in the form.

HP 8600 (CM749A) (no more, the lowest model) supports duplex (i.e. automatic two-sided) scanning?

To summarize:

HP 8600 (CM749A) - only side analysis, no duplex
HP 8600 Plus and Premium - duplex, duplex automatic scanning

The Officejet Mobile 100 is only a printer, it does not provide the functionality of any copy or scan.

On the side of F_e product, HP Offiejet Pro 8600 more or HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium are only current models offering duplex printing, copying and scanning capabilities.

  • This officejet pro 8600 is not duplex scan size of different pages, only the size of page letter

I have a desktop hp jet pro 8600 and printer. My original printer scanned pages front and back of different sizes, the printer stopped scanning properly and I replaced with the same model. Now, this printer can not scan other than letter size paper. I can only scan two-sided letter-size pages! The reason why I bought this printer has been for its scanning capabilities. I talked to support HP they said it scans only some dimensions of the page in duplex mode. Please HP DIFFICULTY this problem and give your customers the ability to SCAN RECTO VERSO DIFFERENT SIZES of PAGE. I've been with hp for many years, printers, laptops and a computer

    Message reads

"The document feeder only supports analysis for some sizes of paper double-sided. If your original is too long or short, use the scanner glass.

HP I'm supposed to use glass scanner page-by-page, I bought a officejet pro for special to spend less time scanning features manually. I wonder what the reason for this restriction of page size, it worked on my previous printer.

I solved this problem without downgrading the firmware to version CLP1CN1232AR.

I downloaded and installed HP Web Jetadmin to do this (www. HP.com/go /webjetadmin). Then, I followed the instructions on the manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01943164.pdf) to activate this option.

The image I used was obtained on the HP ftp site: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/pfirmware

The name of the image is: ojpro_8600_n911_g_n_1232A_09272012.ful.rfu

Now, I can scan both sides of the legal size.

  • Duplex scan HP Scan with a 8600 Officejet more

The document on the 8600 Officejet more feeder supports duplex scanning (i.e. analysis on both sides of the originals). I had no trouble to make it work when I start a scan from the printer control panel - there is a very clear button to switch between sides 1 and 2-sided originals.

When I run the scan of my computer, however, the use of the scanner program included (HP Scan 3), I can't find any option to select two-sided scanning. I use the automatic document feeder, but I just get a side scanned. Is there a hidden option somewhere in HP Scan 3 I forgot?

I use a Mac, for what it's worth, under OS X 10.6.8 'Snow Leopard '.

These instructions did not help me, because the boxes of dialogue look completely different in the Mac version of the software, but they invite me to looking more carefully at the menus once more. I found that if you enable the scan Preferences dialog box, either by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner of the main screen or by selecting ' Scan HP | Preferences"in the menu, the option I want is here. In the middle of the screen, above a horizontal divider, there are five icons after the word "Orientation". The first two are really orientation, and the other three control unilateral versus double scanning.

So yes, I really was missing something pretty obvious.

  • 8600 Officejet Duplex Scan and Eprint

I have a question on the HP Officejet Pro 8600. I have a Mac and Mac OS x installed Lion:

    (1) how to scan HP scan3 2sided/duplex?  There is no option to choose to scan duplex, I have installed duplex accessory and I checked in the system Prefereneces > Print & Fax > Open print queue > Configuration printer > driver > HP 2 accessory sides of impression. See the image of what my options and screen looks like.

    (2) how can I configure my eprint settings when I print through Google Cloud or to my email to the printer to print duplex/2sided? I have looked at the online account but couldn't find an option to print

    Hello

You have the 8600 OfficeJet from HP (N911a) or the sign more (N911g) or model Premium (N911n)?

Only the last two models offer features of duplex ADF (copy of original 2 faces), the basic model only provide double-sided printing.

The ePrint service does not support duplex printing, you can find that he listed in the documentation of ePrint:

Are there any limitations that I should be aware of when using ePrint?
Duplexing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03721293

You can work around this limitation by using the mobile software HP ePrint, which allow printing to a remote printer using the software on your Mac:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=22744&prodSeriesId=5098100&prodNameId=5098101&swEnvOID=219&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ds-104730-2

Once the software is installed, you can access it from the print in the drop of PDf dialog box.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 duplex scan

How can I duplex scanner using the charger to top of the page?  Is there a driver or software, I need?  I bought this printer to use this feature.  As a teacher, I want to analyze all my books in my USB.

    Please help me!

To tell you the 8600 don't scan two-sided on the base model, only on the most and the Premium version of the printer. But in addition, I don't know what you're looking for is possible. Duplex scanning function is reserved for the simple leaves, double-sided media - not for books. With books, the only method for the analysis of these images is through the flat bed scanner because it can't shoot an entire book through the ADF.

I hope this solves your request!

  • Duplex scanning possible HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a Series?

  • 8630 ADF Duplex scanning

Does anyone know if HP has changed the firmware in the 8630 allow ADF double face legal size analysis as previous OfficeJet Pro printers have before the firmware 8600 improved last year.

    Hello RichardHoodman,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

About the survey on the 8630 Officejet being able to scan duplex on legal paper, it is not available. I've just came back to install this impression on my Windows 7 laboratory and failed legal duplex scan. Using the HP software and the front, it made no difference.

Thanks to the HP software that I could use the scanner glass and document feeder to scan multiple page how ever, they are all saved in a filling as if this last duplex analyzed their.

  • The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 does support e-print? I am running Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Can you please tell me: the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 does support e-print?  I can't find or generate or figure out how to create an e-mail address for this printer.  Thank you.

    Hello BoPeepLamb,

8600 printer OfficeJet does support ePrint. You can access the e-mail address of printers by allowing Web Services to the main display on the printer. The icon is located on the top left corner of the screen and looks like the sheet of paper with circles behind it. Before you can enable Web Services, you must ensure that you have a valid internet connection first.

Once you have enabled Web Services, you should have a print sheet mobile printing with a printer code and the link to http://www.eprintcenter.com where you can create an account and customize your e-mail address printers.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to reply to this message and I'll try to find an answer for you.

    Hello

You use A910a or A910g A910n? Open the cartridge on the left front access door to see the model number. If she says A910a or A910g then, those two doesn't support automatic duplex, scan or copy as the document feeder has no duplexer in them

If A910n, check the picture below. For the digitization of the s/w, you can find the setting «scan both sides (duplex)» For the copy, and then in the menu ==> settings copy printer, you can find the option "two sides - two-sided original copy.

  • What are printers AIO a duplex scanning?

    Hello!

You don't know if it's the right place for this question, but unfortunately, looking for HP products somehow missed the filter to display AIOs compatible double-sided scanning.

I hope someone who knows the products can help me on this.

I'm looking for a printer with the following characteristics:

    Main requirements:

    • Print (ink favorite, but also want to look at the Laser options too. Black and white is fine, but I'd be happy to color if the price difference is not much.)
    • Duplex scanning (either hardware or software, but hardware is better)
    • Network (LAN. WiFi in option)

Other features are optional and can be done without. He served for 2 people to use at home, to be connected to the main router and shared between two computers in rooms separated (all on the same network). We need to scan documents, as the billing invoices and other documents. Us print not very much, with the exception of mainly text documents.

All recommendations are welcome! Thank you very much in advance for your time ~.

    Hi Wally_R,

Thanks for the reply! Thank you for taking the time to list.

I managed to get in touch with a seller of HP, and he mentioned the same products. However, apparently, none of the domestic models perform the function of double-sided scanning . This function is only available for office templates for HP. as a result, I have to look elsewhere.

Please consider this thread closed. Nice day!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw: Duplex scanning

I just want to buy HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw, according to this manual printer, this printer is equipped with an option to print double-sided.
But my question is that it has dual scan or duplex scan option?

    Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw is intended for users of the company.

OfficeJet Pro 8620 and settlement 8630 (comes with 2 bac) also have the option of scanning two-sided you need in the ADF. (NOT the good settlement 8610!)

Recommends that you consider the settlement 8620 or 8630 rather than the HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw, unless you buy for the use of the company.

    Hope that helps.

Please click the "accept as solution" if it helped to solve your problem and "Bravo Thumbs up" as an encouragement.

  • HP Support Assistant Scan froze the computer

HP Pavilion model 55710f; Windows 7.  The HP Support Assistant scan started and was still scanning after four hours, even if the information box said that everything was OK on my computer.  Early on, the computer froze once and the clock gadget on my desktop has stopped working.   He then thawed, but the clock didn't work.  I checked it four hours later, and it was still scanning.  I tried to stop, and he froze with nothing else than the blue screen of Windows display. I finally unplugged/replugged the computer and, so far, is fine.  What has gone wrong?  Thank you.

    Hello mamassey,

I'd love to be able to tell you with complete certainty what happened, but we probably won't. The fact is sometimes programs everything works perfectly and cause errors and glitch.

If the problem continues to happen as every time that you run the Support assistant it freezes and causes issues, then we have a problem, now that we have just a random appearance of a program of 100% working perfectly.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more - problems of duplex scanning

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Officeject Pro 8600 Plus and I work from a mac 10.6.8. Whenever I scan from the charger it creates only a single document face and I can't find anywhere in the settings of the printer itself or the "scan of the computer.

settings in the Hp printing software utility to change double-sided scanning. NB. I use the 'save a pdf option.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

If you scan directly from the printer, when you are on the menu to choose how you want to save the file (in format) there should be a lower left button that toggles between the original side 1 and 2 original faces.
