HP 8620: HP desperation

People, thank God Costco has an excellent return policy, I gave up my ysterday HP 8610 old of one year after another problem and was refunded, upgrading to a new HP8620. Even made a little money on the transaction.

But I'm not kidding.

I spent more than four hours on the phone with HP since I bought the printer yesterday.

And questions about printing are not always resolved with another call, the team high tomorrow.

Is this really a record?

Two calls with the customer support of routine and once with the high team. The guy in the high team told me after 90 minutes, the PC wireless Adapdtor was the issue and sets.  Of course, two hours later, nothing prints again and I need to wait another expert to remind me.

And in this mixture, tonight, the guy who I spoke told me the HP technicians had hardcoded in the IP, which is a problem as soon as it changes. They did this to try to force a fix.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Should I uninstall my version of Firefox and try again?

Yes, you can give it a try. Because the current stable version is Firefox 38.0.5 and you use 41.0. Which is a very unstable version.
Then, before uninstalling to download the current version from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
(You will see a lot of choice of language here. You can simply download (United States) English version for windows).

I want desperately to upgrade Firefox to version 10 of version 9, but whenever I try, I'm stuck with FF10 control addons for compatibility and opening the homepage whenever I starts the browser. I keep having to go back to version 9 to solve this problem.

Sorry to be a while back! It tried unsuccessfully so this AM, gritted my teeth and deleted the FF programs folder and downloaded and installed FF 10.01. He was still struggling with the same problem. Went in the appdata folder and two files sessionstore.js there. Delete both, restarted the browser and no verification of the compatibility of the modules was done at first upward and the additional tab for welcome to FF was the opening is no longer all seems to work as it should and I did not lose any of my settings... Thanks for trying to help, and I hope that my solution helps someone else who could this experience in the future. Hoping that the next update will smoother!

  • 8620 HP: HP 8620 uninstall does not remove everything from my computer

I don't have a HP8620 installed and connected to my laptop.  It also means that I don't have access to the printer number so I can't go directly to customer service!  IMO poor customer support, that is why I post here.

I get a repetitive error message with every restart, indicating that the HPStatusBL.dll cannot be found.  The location specified in the message box shows C:\Program HP HP Office jet Pro 8620\bin\HPStatusBL.dll.  When I look in the noted 8620 folder using windows Explorer, to my surprise, there is still a folder 8620 here and there objects still in the bin folder.  (HPCustPartic.*) Why is this?

Also in the registry search I found several references to the hp entries 8620... printer, fax... Why is it if I uninstalled the printer 8620?

Can you give us something to remove it for the printer my computer 8620... Register... the system dll, windows startup options, etc.

For my part, I tried to reinstall the HP 8620 printing software, and then immediately uninstall. Of course, which has not changed anything and I still get the error message at every reboot.

Unfortunately, the 3rd third-party tool didn't uninstall anything unlike uninstalling HP that suggests something new/different between uninstalling and what is actually installed since uninstalling HP and IOBit had the same result.

So I thought I would try to reinstall with the latest installer of HP... downloaded, installed and then uninstalled... voila... everything cleared to the top!

Sorry to that point... I should have used the latest version of the software of HP FIRST and not last.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: RDP 8620 Officejet prints strange lines

I tried to find an answer to this for almost a month.

We have a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and we want to be able to print from a remote computer to ours. The printer is shared.  We'll call the local computer pc1 and the computer remote pc2. PC1 remotes in pc2 using a standard Windows 7 Remote Desktop connection. PC1 sharing their printer with pc2 by redirect. the sharing of each resource to which is connected to it. PC1 is trying to print, and then waits. The printer that is connected to the pc1 via USB cable gives us a message that looks like this of course is not what we want when we try to print an Excel worksheet. No, this is not the complete document. This is the first 1/3 or the page and the rest is completely white. It almost looks like a code any. I installed the drivers on ppc1 both pc2. I tried the drivers universal instaslling. I was told that get this work 4 years ago was very easy, but I could not crack. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Problem has been resolved by the default driver. Has not reappeared since we have updated for the generic driver for 8600. Had to install the driver on the two machines.

    Hey @Pm2r,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are experiencing some problems with printer e-all-in-one Officejet 8620 communicates is not with your PC. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

Now, on the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

    • If you see a line indicating the status: not connected, the printer is not connected to your wireless network. Click speed, wireless and Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your network.
    • If the IP address starts with 169, the printer is not getting a valid IP address of the router. Contact which provided you your router to determine why the router is not getting an IP address valid.
    • If the IP address of the printer starts with 172, the printer is connected to a network of comments. Contact those that you provided with the router for assistance with deactivation of the feedback network.
    • If the IP address of the printer starts with 192.168 or 10, the printer is properly connected to a network. Please see below.
    • If the IP address of the printer begins with any other number, the network is maintained. Contact one that keeps your support network.

At this point, you should be able to print wireless. If you still can not, on any device that prints the PC enter the IP address of the printer in an address bar. If you are able to access embedded web page the printer, please let me know.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HPOfficejet Pro 8620: Lockout admin and can not only restore factory settings no printing, scanning or fax

    HPOfficejet Pro 8620

Once the upgrade to the last of my printer Mac security bug fix didn't work, printing, scanning or fax, tried to fix more than once as resinstalling followed etc. software instructions.  Then accidentally disabled the settings and now when I try to reset it or add printer returns Web services disabled etc. or feature was locled by your administrator, which is me... Help because I need it for work...

You do one of 2 things @Chelle007, you can reset the printer back to the factory settings and set up again, or you can connect the printer to the computer or router Ethernet cable and use the wired IP address to access the Web integrated (Embedded Web Server) server. If you choose to install an Ethernet cable, go to the network settings on the front panel of the printer to get the IP address. Enter the IP address in a Web browser, and when the printer page opens, you can go to settings. You will be able to reactivate it. Please do not forget to select each element one at a time instead of select allow all, because if you turn on all you will lock the front panel.

If you are unable to do so, or rather do the simple reset check your Inbox for instructions.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

How to upgrade my HP Officjet 8620 firmware to a version earlier?  The current updated made by my useless printer and I need to go back to the previous version.

You must restore the firmware. There is a difficulty, but HP will not help you with it. Took me about 30 minutes to piece it together and maybe 15 to implement then miraculously all my cartridges "damaged" brought great.

Start here and post your experience. I hope turning off the auto-updates, it prevents them from bricking your printer again.
