HP C6180

When I turned on the printer, it began to start, then exploded and began to start again.  She does again and again.  The only way to stop it is to unplug the power supply.  This is not connected to a PC at the time.  He used to scan documents.  Any suggestions?

This looks like a hardware problem in the power of the printer system. This could be a problem with the power adapter in the printer or in the power in the middle of the power supply module.

There is a document to help resolve problems when the printer shuts off and is repeated here.

I hope this helps.

  • HP Photosmart C6180 with abnormal shutdown Message

My HP Photosmart C6180 began to make a loop of continuous restart with error of abnormal termination. I've now tried # and 6 at startup to do a reset, but that only solves the problem for about 30 minutes.

I read on other forums on the internet that this is due to faulty capacitor anyone else managed to solve this problem?

I notice seven other users seem to have this problem on the forum.

    TTL79 wrote:

I have the same problem. Is it possible to fix once and for all?

Hi, yes I managed to fix my printer and it is working normally again! However, it is a bit complex - I had to remove the circuit board and replace the capacitors. I put the instructions on this site below as a method step by step for fixing.

    http://www.roshgaind.com/?p=200

You will need to have a soldering iron, torx screwdriver and buy new capacitors. The whole process takes about 1 to 2 hours, I had limited experience with soldering, but I am familiar with disassemble computers.

Attempt at your own risk - soldering irons are very hot and can cause injury if not done properly this can permanently damage your printer If in doubt ask a service center to fix your printer or buy a new one.

  • Cannot install C6180 because of McAfee firewall

I did everything that I can to configure the personal firewall of McAffee to allow installation, but Installer tells me that it is impossible to install the driver.  So I disable the FW and restarted the computer.  I keep getting Windows network access groups that I have no firewall.  Yet, the installer says I have the firewall running and used to install the driver.

What I can do.  I'd rather have the FW running.

Just for fun, I have the printer powered by bicycle.  After this, the installation went through all the way and I was able to exercise the C6180 in Windows.  I will try to relight the FW and see if it still works.

    Thank you

  • C5180 & c6180 randomly left the impression at the beginning.

Hi, I have a problem with my HP printer. I have a 7520 which is fine and works fine all the time. I have 2 other a C5180 and a C6180 and they both have the same question.

Ps5 printing every so often the printer/s will be leaving the impression at the beginning and don't miss out the background centimetre of printing.

This seems to happen randomly when it arrives, I can send the photo and he can do it again, but if I send it again once it may be very well.

    Printers are all wired.

I tried to reinstall the printers, installing them one at a time, let windows choose the driver or install the hp software.

    I'm on windows 8.1 64-bit.

  • C6180 incorrect ink cartridge

I replaced the Cyan ink cartridge in my HP PhotoSmart C6180 printer.  Now I have an error on the printer screen saying ' Incorrect ink cartridge - ink following cartridges cannot be used after the initialization of the device and must be replaced (for cartridge Cyan triangle symbol).

I noticed that the old cartridge HP C8771W part number.  The new cartridge was the HP C9339W part number.  Both cartridges were packaged in a combo package '02'.

I thought about it myself.  The C9339W cartridge is for initialization only.  The C8771W is used after initialization.

  • C6180 all in one offline

I have a c6180 printer all in one I use wireless with 2 laptops - both hp. one is windows 7. two portable computers say the printer is offline and will not print. The wireless network is true very well. How he do back online?

Hi, take a look at this linkHP.

  • Cannot print in black C6180

My C6180 printer all-in-one just stopped printing in black. I changed the cartridge of the printer 3 times and it made no difference? It prints in color but not black. I cleaned the cartridges and that did not help. I noticed on some other forums that other people have the same problem without finding a resolution.  Anyone got any suggestions?

Well, I might have some hope. Actually, we have found a solution to this problem and our printer now works as usual. I'll try to explain what we were doing, so I hope it helps someone else. I must say that I was chatting online with a HP technician at least an hour and it never recommended this solution, and we found it on their help page. Maybe he did know about this!

First, you will need to access the Toolbox of printer on your computer. Go to start-programs-HP-HP Solution Center.

    Select settings

In the drop-down list, select the printer settings

    Select printer Toolbox

In respect of peripheral Services, select the option for clean print heads

It's a clean deeper than what is being done to the printer itself. We ran this about 5 times, and at the end of this it was printing black again. It was a few months ago and we have not had a problem since.

I hope it helps someone else. HP did not of course help us!

    Hi wjabdella,

    Thank you for your answer!

In the post I provided on the hard reset, he mentioned: sometimes, when plugged into a surge protector or battery backup, the quantity of electricity is not received by the printer.  Power problems can cause printing problems.  It is particularly important to be plugged directly into a wall outlet with wireless connectivity problems, "sleep mode" and other power problems.

So by unplugging the power and waiting, it resets the printer almost to its original state without making a complete factory reset and lose any other information.

  • ePrint for K550 and HP c6180

Already posted in the wrong Board (Android tablets)

Why the great Hewlett-Packard company cannot provide never clear complete & correct instructions step by step on how to do things?

I see the Officejet Pro K550 dtn listed as HP ePrint and Android 4.4 Print services support.

    How can I activate ePrint?

When I try to do, she prays for a printer email address.

I know the IP address of the printer, I don't know it's e-mail address.

HP help pages request to press the (nonexistent) web services or search on the built-in browser (also nonexistent) HP Web Services printer page.

When I try to use Android 4.4. My Nexus 5 (actually, now upgraded to Android 5 aka Lollipop), I get the IP address of the printer, he tries to get settings, but failed. Same error in the HP Photosmart c6180 unit.

When I try to use HP connected it asks you a claim code.

How can I get a code of request for one of these printers?

    Hello

First two printers are NOT ePrint as shown on the following (see the first column):

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02814760

You can use HP ePrint app or HP AiO Printer/Remote app to print. My suggestion using HP ePrint app because the other application may ask your printers email addresses and they will not. Very important thing: they MUST BE on the same network. How do you connect them now?

    Kind regards

If I only print in black why my HP Photosmart C6180 uses up color cartirges? Are expensive!

    Hello

All printers do the same thing that even many printers have an option to print in black INK ONLY. The reason: during the process of global warming, printers need to use all inks to check and maintain their print heads... Some people say, we turn on the printer / OFF it will use more ink, I can't confirm that but understandable.

    Kind regards.

  • PhotoSmart C6180: page c6100 is broken

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-C6100-all-in-one-printer-series/1153695/model/1153...

This page is empty.  Is there another page?

    Hi @eTTguy,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.

I understand that you try to download the drivers for a HP Photosmart C6180 all-in-One Printer for Windows 10 but cannot because the tracking link opens a blank page. I want to help you with that.

I am currently on a Windows 7 PC using Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, and the link you posted took me to the support home page for the HP Photosmart C6180 where you would still need to click on "Software & drivers" and the blue "go" button under "Option 2" to get the drivers HP Photosmart C6180.

If you follow this link, so that it brings you directly to the page software and drivers with a red download button click on start download - drivers and software HP Photosmart full feature.

This link should work. If she opens another blank page, try a different web browser. Web browsers Act sometimes differently with different websites.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • Photosmart C6180 problem of Power-Up/Power-Down - loops on/stop/start/stop etc.

I had the C6180 Photosmart wireless connected to a Mac OS X 10.5.6 laptop Macbook Intel and IBM PC XP SP 2 for more than 2 years.  I did have major problems with the printer.

Recently, I have known a couple of electric in my house.  Since then the printer has turned off randomly once or twice.  Today the printer began to turn off/on/off/on/turned off/turned on etc.

It lights up and shows the HP logo and process bar animation for one minute, followed by the message: "abnormal termination.  To avoid damage on the button to turn off the printer.  Do not use a wall or the band switch to close.  Press OK.  Then he stops and leaves upward.

I tried to enter batch Mfg mode by organizing the * and # keys.  It flashes "Mfg commands - enter special Key Combo" for the second of two, then stops and makes a loop on/stop/start/stop again and again.

I have disconnected all data cables, installs the printer in another room, closes the wifi on both computers and connected directly to the wall on a different circuit to eliminate problems of low power as the culprit.  I swapped the power cable between the wall and the block of the AC adapter with the same exact type of cord of another piece of equipment with the same results.

I wonder if it is a symptom of a surfboard logic damaged in the printer, or a problem with the AC adapter?

If it is the logic board, does pay to get it fixed?  An equivalent printer for Mac would cost about $200.  Not to mention that I came just to have stored on cartridges.

What is a likely indication of a problem of brick AC adapter?  If so, should I spring for a replacement block AC adapter for $30?

I was not able to find this question in a post on the forum and I was wondering if it's 'Au revoir' to the C6180?

Thank you for your contribution to this number

    Try this:

    1. If the printer is still on, unplug all rigid and flexible cables at the back of the printer.

2 unplug the power cord also from the wall...

    3. wait for two minutes.

4 reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet first.

    5. hold the pound (#) and six 6 buttons.

    6. all by pressing the two buttons, reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer and at the end of two seconds, exit book and six buttons.

    7. turn on the printer if it goes out...

    Let me know the results.
