HP COLOR LASERJET PRO M252DW: HP COLOR LASERJET PRO M252DW never able to print without problem

M252DW running on WiFi with three computers Win10.  Regardless of the computer that I use, the printer doesn't print.  Message to print screen says not 'online' when it is by the LCD.  Can I reset or power cycle, no help.  The only thing that seems to help is going to the printer and print a test page. This step seems to help sometimes, and I get a test page and can't seem to print for a period of time.  It is happening since new (July 1015) and I'm about to returned.  FYI, I have no problem to print wireless an inkjet Canon, sitting next to the ch, from any computer.

Any suggestions other than buying a laser gun?

Thank you

Mark

If you always reminants of the HP software meant for 10.4, you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber".  If you have already uninstalled, reinstall from the CD, then:

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall< scrubber="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now run a software update.

Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

    Hello Graf213,

There are a few things of different which could cause print quality begin to deteriorate on printouts. My guess is that the printer may need to be cleaned and / or calibrated.

  • MFP HP LaserJet Pro 400 M425dn will not print the text to format 72 points or more

My workplace has recently bought a M425dn of MFP HP LaserJet Pro 400 all-in-one printer. It works perfectly except for the fact that it will not print text that is 72 points or larger in size. I tried many fonts that are installed with Windows, and all them print correctly to the point size 71.5 or smaller; Another thing simply does not appear in prints. Content which is of size to 72 points or more * fact * affect the flow of the content printed on the page, however. It's like the 72 points or larger text takes up space, but it is completely invisible on the printed page.

I tested using Microsoft Word 2002 on three separate computers, of which two have installed Windows 7 and Windows Vista installed. The problem is the same on all three computers. The printer is connected via an ethernet cable to our wired network. I have installed the printer software included, and I don't think that there are updates for it that have not been installed up to this point.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

Hello, I just made an account to solve this problem for you guys because it has been a puzzle to me also...

I apologize before the huge hand for the terrible grammar and punctuation that I'm in a hurry

Now it does not work for everyone but I fixed it on my machine with the following

now before you print it... .use (ctrl + p) in your text editor to open the print window, click (properties), and then navigate to the tab (Advanced) now, I have a section called the characteristics of the printer in this category there is an option to 'send truetype as bitmap' activate this and see if it can help someone of you, for me, with this PERMIT I can print any font size my processor will allow me to type

    in my machine's plug

    Reference Dell d6420

    Win7

    Msoft word 2007

    printer itself is

    HP laserjet 200 color m276

    printer driver is

HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276 PCL 6

I understand that this printer and driver is not identical to yours in itself, but the nature of these drivers makes it highly likely that this solution works for most of you

  • LaserJet MFP M277dw Pro: Windows installs its own printer driver after failure of wireless printer, print

It is a problem really bizzare, I will try to explain as clearly as possible what happened:

    • I have 277dw LaserJet MFP Pro, which is connected to my PC via wireless network. I installed the drivers from HP and everything worked as a watch movement - printing and scanning.
    • Yesterday, the power is out for about 30 minutes. Computer stayed on thanks to UPS, but the printer power loss.
    • Once the power was restored to the printer, printer initialized and I was able to access his page of HTTP status without problems. All the parameters of the printer has persisted. Same IP address. Printer all self-tests pass. However, I have lost the ability to print (printer shows more as an option in the print dialog boxes). Scanner works as usual, save the scan to a network folder.
    • The State of device HP icon has disappeared from the taskbar.
    • A bunch of new entries titled "NPIF7BB8E (MP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw)" appears in the Device Manager. This 'new' device appears in the Device Manager 5 times under different categories of devices (see attached screenshot). In the Event Viewer, I discovered that Windows installed for this device right when the power has been restored to the printer.
    • Under control panel-> hardware and sound-> devices and printers, all devices installed by HP are grayed out and their status is not connected.
    • Restarting the computer does not resolve this issue.

Anyone have any ideas on what is happening here? It's the second time this has happened - I was able to fix the first time by reinstalling the printer drivers. However, I don't want to have to do every time the failure. This looks like a bug in Windows or the drivers.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Most likely your operating system is set to automatically install the drivers, when the lost connection the WPS driver build has been added.

Try these steps and check if that helps:

    1. In Control Panel, select network and Internet.
    2. Open the network and sharing Center.
    3. Search your active network profile, it appears just below the name of the network (for example Private Network, work network)
    4. The side pane select change advanced sharing settings.
    5. In the profile category, uncheck 'automatically enable the configuration of the connected network devices '.
    6. Click on save to confirm.
    7. Devices and printers remove any element M277 printer), as well as Device Manager (remove the two original HP or WPS item, you should see is no longer the M277.)
    8. Once select start > all Apps > HP > HP Laserjet M277 and select the shortcut to reconfigure the device, it can appear as the printer software installation & connect a new printer, etc.

    Hope that helps,

    Shlomi

  • Just got my HP LaserJet Pro M451nw 400 and it prints all greenish! Tried everything

    Help!

I just got my HP LaserJet Pro M451nw 400 and it prints all greenish!

I tried everything in the troubleshooting page for quality of printing, calibration, color settings, page, even the driver HP Universal PS of cleaning.

When I entered my product in the registration area, it is said the warranty is good until June 2014 as Newegg said the guarantee would be also 1 year ...

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your new LaserJet print quality.

I assume you are using supplied with the printer, toner cartridges since this is brand new.  Otherwise, recharged cartridges sometimes are not of high quality and can cause less than optimal printouts.

The following link gives several options to try if you have not already tried these things:

    HP technical support URL

One of the options I copied from the above URL:

Adjust the color settings in the printer driver

Change the theme color for a print job

    1. On the file menu in the software, click on print.

    2. Click Properties or preferences.

    3. Click the color tab.

    4. Select a color theme from the drop-down list of color themes.

      1: tab color

  • LaserJet Pro P1102w: "in gray" P1102w printer device settings

I installed a new SSD and installed all my programs and drivers.  However, when I go to the LaserJet Properties window, all the entries are "grayed out."  They are there, but I can't lick c on them.

I got this computer for two years and since the printer at the same time.  I use the same DVD for the loading of software and used the HP Smart Install feature to install the drivers.  Until I changed the original SSD for one SSD more big, I had no problem with this printer and had full access to all the properties of the printer.  This printer has been installed on three other computers and none of them had this problem.

For what it's worth, I bought this printer as a renovated unit in the center of Clement, so I did not have separate installation CD.  However, the HP Smart Install worked without problems in the past.

Any ideas on how to get the properties of the printer out of State "Grayed" Out?

    Thank you.

    Last updated 22/03/15:

I found the problem.  I checked the other computers that work properly with this printer.  Under properties of the printer, Security tab, I have determined that other computers have an entry under the usernames for this computer.  I checked the computer having the problem and found it lacking input.  I added the lack of user name and features has been restored.

  • LaserJet M1120 MFP / OSX 10.7.3 scan problem

I can't get serious to try to set up a HP Laserjet M1120 MFP device on an i7 iMac running OSX Lion. The printer driver installs fine preferences > printing & scanning. The printing of the iMac and from another computer in network. However, the scanning feature is nowhere and I can't operate the iMac or the other computer. I tried with Acrobat X Pro, Preview and image transfer applications.

OK, so I downloaded the software HP Laserjet full feature and driver here, just to notice that I met more problems. When you run the HP Laserjet M1120 Series.pkg package, the HP app Installation Wizard stops with a popup that says "you must have administrative Preobrajensky to configure a device. It is a little surprising given that I just entered my admin password, in addition to the fact that there is only one user account on the computer, which obviously has administrator rights. In addition, it seems that the installer actually does not install the HP software package, because I can find apps like Director of HP and HP Scan in the Applications folder. Needless to say, running these apps only results in a popup saying: ' no scanners are located. " Acrobat displays the name of the printer in the file > Create > PDF from Scanner dialog box, but hitting the Scan button results in a popup saying "error while interacting with scanner: the selected scanner was not found."

I uninstalled the HP software with the option of uninstalling and re-installed. I also tried the "Reset printing system" option in OSX preferences > print & scan > right click on the list of printers. So... what gives? Is it possible for me to check if the scanner really works or if it will be a HW problem? Or this driver is not compatible with the current Lion OSX (I 10.7.3)? IMO the USB connection should be good since I am able to print normally.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The driver that you have installed is intended for Mac OS X 10.5 or lower and is not compatible with Lion.

    Compatibility: Mac OS X 10.3, Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X

Officially, the model M1120 is partially compatible with Lion and provide functionality to print only by the software provided via Apple Software Update...

Try the following solution, although I can't guarantee its operation and may not be stable as expected:

    1. Go into System Preferences > print & scan, select the Ant to M1120 printer then click on the sign - to remove.
    2. Following the installation of the software feature full skiping the installation wizard until the installation is complete.
    3. In order to provide good permissions to complete the Setup Wizard, perform the following steps:
      1. Open a Terminal in the Utilities folder
      2. In the Terminal, type "sudo" (with space).
      3. Locate the HP installation wizard to the folder Applications/HP LaserJet Software
      4. Right click (CTRL + left on the Mac keyboard) the HP installation wizard and choose "view the contents of the package.
      5. Open the "Happy" folder, and then click the "Mac OS" folder. It should contain the Unix executable file HP installation wizard.
      6. Drag the HP (Unix executable) Setup Wizard in the Terminal and press to validate.
Terminal will ask for the password of the user.
    4. After writing the password Enter key press.
    5. Now, follow the Setup Wizard steps to complete.
  • HP LaserJet 4000N print queue problem

I just got a new modem/router, it will reconfigure the settings. My old but BEAUTIFUL HP LaserJet 4000N does not respond well to the changes. (Just like old fogeys everywhere...) Not happy about the way the world is moving on!)

Now, if I had not updated my modem/router just 3 months ago, without problem, I might conclude that the tech had finally adopted my printer. But this EXACT procedure was successful only three months ago, so my suspicion is that I missed a step somewhere...

Specifically, my printer completely refuses the new IP address, he needs to connect with 'the world'.

It recognizes & remembers the new IP address on the general tab of the window of the printer location, but insists on the fact that the IP address of the printer to the previous address remains valid name of the queue. (Instead, the printer dialog box indicates that the document is printing - his 'status' - while stating at the same time, in the upper part of the printer dialog box, that 'the printer is unresponsive."

Unfortunately, the evidence supported the statement of "... does not."

What should I do to convince the area superior of the dialog part of the printer w / previous IP address and welcome the newcomer IP address instead?

    Thank you!

Remove and reinstall the driver with the correct IP address.

  • My 6100 printer has never been able to print colors

1 day he told me that the Blue cartridge (cyan) is empty, even when I replaced the cartridge with a new one, and he always says that the other colors are 'weak '. I've been printing the words black and white on a page, in fast draft mode, but the only time wherever I tried to print colors, she doesn't--a yellow cuff came out white, no colour at all.  He said always cyan is empty.  Now it will not print black and white at all. Am I supposed to spend $50 + new cartridges whenever I need to print something?

Also, is there a Ribbon of cellophane that I need to take it off inside the printer?  I see a coating cellophance on transport of the cartridge in the printer, but there is nothing in the manual that says to remove it.

Unable to print color seems a flaw for me.  Can I make a return?  I bought it two weeks ago.

    Catherine

    Hi CMBoston,

I understand that you were not able to print anything in color, and you see a piece of Ribbon of cellophane inside. I want to help you with this.

Please use the following document to solve the quality problem, you meet; Troubleshooting print quality problems.

The strip inside the printer should be removed if the installation guide you requested otherwise, it is part of the internal mechanics.

I'm not sure of the return policy where you bought the printer so I can not answer or not you can return the printer, but I can say that HP printers have a 1 year manufacturing warranty. If you're still having problems after following the steps outlined in the document, call HP. The number of call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for the Canada and the United States, or you can Contact HP worldwide.

I hope that this information solves your request.

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.
