HP Envy 5530: Connecting to the correct wireless at the University

My daughters computer connects to a network wireless, but when trying to connect to the same as that of the custom of the printer. It gives the following message. Unable to connect to the network. Type not supported authentication or encryption.

I need the printer and the laptop on the same wireless network that we bought a repacement of instant ink service that must have the printer and the laptop connected. the service will not work without it.

Printing is OK, that we had to go out and buy a cable that was an unwelcome expense.

Any help greatly received.

Well sorry, that most likely, it won't work not because the school uses the authentication of the company. Secondly, you never want a printer wireless on a public network. If it was that every student in the school can find the printer and print to this waste of reams of paper.

Connect the printer via a USB cable for safety.  If the printer supports wireless Direct, that may work for you.

EDIT-

Read here on how to connect your printer to a network asking for additional security and information (username and password).

  • HP Envy 5530: I replaced the black cartridge in my printer. She refuses to print in black only now.

I ran all the standard tests. Black printing will produce only on cartridge color if used singularly. Print heads have been cleaned. All worked perfectly until the change of the ink cartridge. Replacement cartridge used was a standard 301 HP black cartridge.

  • HP ENVY 5530: HP ENVY 5530 print does not correctly on glossy paper

I have a HP ENVY 5530 bought 6 months ago. It works fine up to last week.

When I try to print photos on paper glossy A4-180gsm printing process seems to start until the paper has been fed properly - resulting in one third of the image is not being printed.

The amount of the printed image varies so I guess this isn't a calibration problem, but more likely a slip on paper feed.

I printed out photos full page on the same paper successfully during the last 6 months if the paper is OK.

The printer will print on uncoated paper 90gsm without problem.

    How to remedy this anomaly?

In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve power problems on your HP Envy 5530 glossy paper.  I would say that the cleaning rollers as described in the solution of two.

  • ENVY 4500 connects to the wifi, but the PC can't detect the printer.

    Hey guys,.

So I have a problem. I just bought the 4500 envy at my local Walmart yesterday, 11 October 2014. It prints the test as well as printing of our mobile pages and tables. Whenever I try to install it on my PC, I get up to the screen "searching for printer" and it does not detect the printer. He says always "cannot find the printer." Is the reason because printing is in the features and I'm on the first floor? My House is literally right on top of it. I've already printed on the "Network Configuration" Page so I know that I have the IP address and the 'network name (SSID)' correct.

Hi Average_Asian, thanks for getting back to me!

I suggest to uninstall the printer software if there is any software installed.

After uninstalling, I recommend you select Wireless on the front panel of the printer.  In the wireless menu, select restore default settings from the network.  Once the default values are restored, turn off the computer and the printer.  Once they are turned off, unplug the power to the router wireless for 60 seconds and plug it back.  Once the wireless radio, turn on the printer and run the wizard to Setup wireless on the front panel.

Once the printer is reconnected, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Please let me know how it goes!

    Hello

    Thanks for the comments.

    Try this:

Left click on start > applications > file HP > HP Envy 5660 > "More" > open file location > right click Copy > paste on the desktop

  • HP ENVY 7640: Connection to the Scanner error

I recently installed a new WANT to a new Mac printer/scanner. The print/scan function worked correctly during installation. After the upgrade to Yosemite, however, whenever I try to open the scanner, I get the following message: 'pending to scan' > ' year error occurred while communicating with the analytical engine. " I removed the printer and reinstalled, but keep getting the same error message when you try to open the function scan my computer. I'm albe to open the scanner of the printer itself, but not the computer. Any advice?

Hello @spinsd , welcome to the forums!

I saw your post, and I hope that I have a fix for the problem you are having with the scanning on Yosemite. Here are the steps that I recommend that you try and also perform these tasks in the order they are written.

    1. Mac OS X: how to reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. Restart the Mac.
    4. Download and install the full functionality driver here - which contains the scan software: 7640 ENVY HP e-All-in-One Printer full feature software and drivers series
    5. In addition, to download this Apple driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers

Try scanning from the HP software and you should be able to scan, fingers crossed!

    Let me know what happens!

  • 5530 envy: Envy 5530 scan since the upgrade from Mac OS Sierra

Since the update of my Mac to OS Sierra 10.12, I can't scan to computer or run a scan of my computer.  I get an error message "Scanner reported an error" saying that my all-in-one is not available.  I tried to reinstall the driver, which is not very recent (up to HP?) and no help. I have tried everything I can think on my end.

    Hello
The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Kind regards

  • Some problems after the connection of the universal adapter for Satellite M-series

Can anyone help? I have 2 young children and through wear my adapter has fought for a new one of toshiba that's 60 books that I am on a tight budget, I opted for a universal adapter that says you can use on any laptop.

When I plug it, it powers my laptop, there is no problem and the orange battery light indicates that the battery is charging and a taskbar he also says of the battery is charging but the battery is not more than 2%.

Also my touchpad started playing up. Someone can help me and do you not think that it is due to this universal adapter!

I agree with the comment of the previous user. You must always use the power adapter Toshiba recommended!
Non-original adaptors may damage the motherboard, the laptop computer s!

On the site of Toshiba Option & accessories you will find compatible parts!
