HP laserjet 2430 gear noise

I have HP laserjet 2430 who made so much noise in the back and I checked the gears seems perfect and even changed some of those who watched prevails. the noise is made a few seconds(2-3) after turning on the printer.

Any help?

I got it!

The fuser unit has a speed right next to the equipment of fiber that animates the pressure roller and its not not perfect fitting its axis to axis. Initializing the printer, it tends to lateral movement and oscilates causing noise. I have come to discover that and am very well now. I mounted a plastic sleeve to keep it in position and its now just like new.

Thank you

  • M601: Manufacturing of Laserjet M601 clicking noise when printing

I have a laserjet M601, which has just started to make a rattling noise when it prints.  Looks like it is close to the top right corner before somewhere under the screen.  It snaps when a page is caught to start printing.  I hear a 3-5 clicks when the paper is caught, then it stops for the rest of the page.  If multiple pages print, click before the beginning of each page to be printed.  All other prints are normal.  The print job ends very well and all is well.  I only hear it clicking now and it seems to be deteriorating.  Thoughts?  Thank you.

    Hello

I have some further thoughts on this. Are you sure that the manual tray loading produces noise? They use different pickup assemblies. If we have confirmed both tray 2 and Tray 1 (manual feed tray) produce the same noise that we have to look at what they have in common. Toner, transfer roller, editing of the main landing gear, & fuser.

What type of toner cartridge do you use? If possible can you exchange with others and print a test page? If the problem persists, what is the number of pages on the printer? Have you recently replaced a maintanece kit?

  • HP laserJet M712DN 700: HP laserJet M712dn 700 noise rumble

I have a M712dn that makes a rumbling noise.  The Fuser drive gear also seem to be eating to the top and leaves residues inside the printer.  I replaced the fuser train running gear and the fusion station, but still have the same question.  Any ideas on what could cause this problem?

    Thank you

The problem with this is sprocket sets typically ship without fat, and HP does not document what is good fat to be used on the gears.

@blul_1528 can you let us know what is good fat?

  • Photosmart C6350 gear noise stripping

Is it normal that my all-in-one printer make a great noise gear-stripping, when the bike to the top or preparation print a page?

Not real familiar with the inner workings, but it sounds like the head trying to find 'the House' and runs completely on one side, then the transport continues to run for a second or two, while the gears grind away?

Anyone who hears the noise looks at my office and asks what the problem with this printer?

It works fine in every other sense.  No problem except the noise.  And I can't help but wonder about the premature wear on the equipment or the belt - this unit will not last?  He is only 8 months old and has done from the first day.

Return or repair until it goes out of its warranty 1 year.  He shouldn't do that.

  • LaserJet CP6015dn made noise every 30 seconds

When the printer is turned ON, not printing, it made a loud noise similar to a hard drive every 30 seconds.  The noise lasts about 1 second, but he keeps doing and it starts to annoy him those sitting near him.  He started to do it directly out of the box.

    Everyone knows this?  -Thank you

I turned in a support ticket, and they said that it was part of its normal operation.  About every 30 seconds it turns slightly battery to prevent them from developing the flats.

  • The model HP LaserJet 2430 Q5964A only print from the manual feeder

The LaserJet printer will no print (Tray 1) manual feeding.  We need the printer to print only starting from tray 2.  I tried to change the settings to the local node as a server-side.  I tried to make the Tray 1 not available both client-side and server without result.  Regardless of what I select settings, the printer will always say, ' manually feeding heavy extra paper.  I do not use a card stock.  I use a brand line 2 MACO of 10 very similar to Avery label sheets.  How can I get the printer to pass the Tray 1 and only draw starting from tray 2.

Please, do not provide generic answers to change the size and type of paper.  I did this several times.

Currently, tray 1 is A4 size, and the Type of tray 1 is labels.  I also settheis to envelope #10.  No matter what is put here the printer insists on the use of Tray1.

Tray 2 has currently the size value LETTER.  Default paper size is set to letter.

Without the help of HP, on mine I found a solution.

1 remove the printer from the server

    2. go to the computer of each user who uses the said printer and remove it form the devices and printers

    3. return to the server and add a printer again (used PCL 6) since August 2013 instead of new

    4. replace in the computers of users and add the printer again.

5 test printing.  It worked correctly in my situation.

  • Deployment of HP printers via Group Policy preferences

At work, I run an environment with about 120 computers Windows 7, 2 HP LaserJet printers and a Windows 2008 Server.  By using Group Policy preferences to deploy computers printers I'm having problems with excruciatingly long first connections.  The computer will sit for minutes at the stadium where he applies the policy of the political group printers.

I tried the drivers specific to the model provided by HP for my printers (LaserJet 2430 and LaserJet P3005) and the universal print driver.  Installation of printer drivers adds about 2 minutes on each printer.  This excruciatingly slow kind of performance is not acceptable.  I've seen other posts of people with similar problems but no real solutions.  What is the answer of HP?

I've always loved and bought HP printers for work and home, but this problem makes me rethink for the future.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I just posted this question in the works councils at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Software/Deploying-HP-Printers-via-Group-Policy-Preferences-is-very-slow/td-p/6248163#.UmptXPnjZ8E.

  • grinding noise when my HP LaserJet Pro 400 color MFP M475 calibrates

When my color HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475 recalibrates, I get a grinding or gear sliding noise.  No idea how to fix it or what to look for?

Noise problems are difficult to troubleshoot remotely and they could easily mislead even when we are near the unit.

Please confirm if the noise is a squeak or a noise squeky/hum.

As you mentioned that this happens only during calibration, it is why I suggest you to double check & validate your toner cartridges.  Among the toner cartrdige is maybe defective and causing this problem.

If not the toner cartridge, then it would be one of the components of hardware printer that is at issue, where a Tech HP may need to perform a physical inspection of the aircraft and the error condition.

  • OfficeJet 6700 gear grinding noise and paper jam

When turned on, our 6700 OfficeJet 6 - months, goes through the boot process, makes a gear grinding noise and finally stops with an error message of paper jam.  I went through all the steps to remove a paper jam (there was no paper to clear) except the cleaning rollers.  It of as if the gear in the duplex unit is not quite the tail with his partner in the printer, but not sure.  I checked to make sure that the rollers turn freeling.  The duplexer gear is a little tight, but it does not move.  Any ideas?

It seems that this printer has developed an internal problem.  From the sounds of it, the issue is the release mechanism for the transport of the print head.

There is a document to help out the noisy operation found printer here.  This can have a few extra steps for troubleshooting paper jam you have already done.

I would also try re-allocation of places the duplexer if she appears out of alignment.  However, if the problem persists, then it will be a hardware problem that the next step is replacement of the product.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • LaserJet 2100 - multiple pages feed even after roller and separation block replacement

    Hello

I have a old and, up to now very reliable LaserJet 2100.

After experiencing a few problems of collection of papers, I replaced the power rollers and separation for the MF tray and the main tray buffers. Each tray pickup seems to work well and always takes a single sheet at a time.

However, what power from the main tray (bottom), often (but), a second sheet will be in the printer to receive AFTER the first leaf has been picked up and transplanted (that is, the end of the page has entered the printer). It's almost as if I print a multi-page job, even if it's a single page (that is, the regular test page). The first page comes out of the printer normally and then the printer stops (paper jam error) with an inch or two of the second sheet comes out of the output slot.

With the covers off the coast, I see that the solenoid is it undertakes to allow the feed roller to bring in the first page, but remains often engaged a bit too long, so a second sheet is picked up * after * the first sheet is completely picked.

The maintenance manual enamels on the use of signals from the sensors in the paper (or for that matter, even where they are), so I'm a bit lost as to how to solve this further.

    Any ideas?

It is a problem on older printers. Your question is tray 2 pickup solenoid that controls the movement of the roller from tray 2. It is very difficult to access, and you will need the maintenance manual. What happens when you send a print job the main gear assembly rotates and the solenoid which controls the roll tray 2 active and moves his arms 'L' to release the roller and then turn off the power to the solenoid and the arm of 'L', which is spring returns to stop the front roller it can turn again. HP has used a material damping on the solenoid to calm the activation of the solenoid clicking noise. Over that time off and all that remains is the glue that held up. When the solenoid activates arm 'L' hit the Center and glue residue prevents the arm of his return in time to prevent it from stopping the roll and therefore another sheet is fed. You need to access the solenoid which is behind the main landing gear on the right side. Takes a lot of work and you will need the maintenance manual. Once you have access to the solenoid, you remove, unhook the spring and remove the arm of 'L '. Then you clean the residues of glue on the edge of the coil and everything on the arm of 'L '. You then ask a material felt on the edge when you remove the glue. Put everything back together and it should work another 12 years without problem. Good luck.
