HP Officejet Pro powerpoint 8620: 8620

I installed two 8620 different printers in the last two weeks (the first was issues of power) and both of them have the same problem with the powerpoint documents.  I can't print multiple slides per page.  I print other documents I've tried and I can print slide 1 documents powerpoint by page and I can print the notes pages, but I can't print 2, 3, 6 or 9 slides on a page.  The printer indicates that it is 'Impression of State' and in my print queue, he wrote is the print job, but the document print never.  Even after 30 minutes.  I have installed and uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers and I ran HP print and Scan Doctor - nothing has worked.  I was able to print to my HP 8600 (before it was fried by lightning) and I can print on my laser printer.  In no case is this a Microsoft problem - the only change in my environment is the new printer.

I saw a similar position to October 2014 with no resolution.  Someone at - it solution or it is time to try another brand of printer?

Thank you

With the help of a person at HP, I spent in the driver for the 9800 and evertyhing is perfect - print documents correctly and the color is correct.  I turn on the duplexer and disable activate manual back 2 get automatic duplex printing to work and I had to change the type of automatic support for plain paper - the printer kept thinking it was printing on transfer fusing hp manually.  Weird.  It seems that HP would fix just the driver 8600.

    Hey @IslandPlanet,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you have a few problems with your Officejet scanning 8620 and you found a mistake that network capacity have been disabled by your network administrator. I can help you with these questions.

First of all, we need to remove the error on the printer. I will send you a private message with details describing how to solve this problem. You should see a private message me in your Inbox shortly.

Once you have initialized your printer again we will have to determine what is causing the problem you are experiencing. The next time that you can't print or scan, we will do the following:

    1. On the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.
    2. Click on the gear icon.
    3. Scroll down to and then click on print the Wireless Test status.

A page should print with a few lines that say Pass or fail in the end let me know if something breaks down and what the Signal strength is listed as. Once I know what I'll be better able to help you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625: Remove printer OfficeJet

I need to remove a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8625 (8620) laptop.  The printer is a shared Ethernet network device.  I guess I have to remove both the printer itself (via Control Panel) as well as the associated software (drivers HP).  What is the correct order for this (first remove the printer or remove the first HP software)?  Is there anything else I need to do?  I want to completely remove the OfficeJet from the laptop, as it was never there.  I then reinstalled the printer from scratch on the laptop.

Thanks for your help on this issue.

I understand that the wireless is out in the middle of the night and since that time you could not reconnect the printer.

If you encountered problems with the wireless did you click on the "Reset" button on the router? This restores the factory settings, that would have removed the password wireless. If so, please reconfigure the router settings before reconnecting the printer to the wireless network.

To help determine the cause of wireless questions use this guide HP Officejet Pro 8610, 8620, 8630, 8640 and 8660 e - all-in - One Printer Series - printer does not maintain the wireless connection.

    Belle is not usable equal

The HP 8610 can care for the moisture content of the paper, or maybe the printer doesn't like the weight of the paper you are trying to use.  This is the simpler, more straightforward answer.

Assuming that you selected correctly before the type of media in the printing preferences for the printer knows what kind of paper to expect and how to react - the printer is maybe not able to manage this particular test.  If this is the case, and regardless of the perception of the quality of the paper, there is no way to force the printer to accept this document.  It is not a question of "bad paper" - it is a question of how the printer sensors respond to the book.

Beautiful paper is not always equal paper which is printed on each printer.  HP printers are not the only picky ones in the world.  All printers of high quality can respond to the report in this way.  You don't have to use paper HP, is told by the way.   Try different papers.  Place this paper somewhere cool and dry to store and try again later.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Printing preferences

If you have not already done so, you can set the media type in printing preferences.

Setting the media Type tells the printer what kind of paper be expected; the printer sets the reels and the spring tension to pull the paper into the printer correctly.

  • Printer HP Officejet Pro 8100 & custom paper sizes

Found all useful instructions on creating new formats of paper custom in Windows 7. But am complete novice & need to buy a printer for a charity. Installs on this model because of good reviews, but more work will be 1 document of custom paper size. Need to know if the instructions are foolproof! (Before spending their money.)

    Hello invqn,

After some detailed research, as well as installing the Pro 8100 (and other products) on a Windows 7 system, we determined the 8100 Pro does not support custom sizes: this is by design and intent.

Note that one of our engineers proposes to use a different set of drivers (from an older device) as a possible workaround, but it is not proven and could be used to limit your overall functionality of the device.

However, we have confirmed that a newer device which is currently, the HP Officejet Pro 8610 (8620 or 8630) e-all-in-one, supports the formats customized; Here is the multifunctional printers.

By following the instructions in the link you sent, you can create new forms with custom formats and it will be displayed in the properties of the printer to get a job / select. It supports custom formats of 3,00 x 8.50 x 14.00 5.00 in. in.

Our intention is only to provide information about what we know; you could take a moment and perhaps see if a representative Marketing HP might be able to give you more information, but that's what we have.
