HP P1102W problems

The printer works fine up until recently.

It seems to work, and then all of a sudden a document stuck in queue and get stopped all the following conditions.

Sometimes the stuck document even prints but remains in the queue.

I have to restart the printer and cancel all documents to make it work again, and then it works either with some documents until it crashes or only one.

I downloaded the latest version of the software/drivers and reinstalled, but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

I had problems with a USB connection. When I went back fi it worked fine again.

Maybe on my USB port went bad.

He was a customer. Personally, I use a Canon at home. May or may not be as effective with ink, but it is very reliable.

I have problems to install the printer.  Loads of software and extracted, then when I go to wireless network connection, it says he's expecting me turn on the printer when the printer is turned on and connected to the USB port.  I even changed USB ports.  It is still not let me install.

    Hi @gawright59,

I see that you have problems of configuration of the printer on the wireless network, the printer is not recognized as the USB connection during installation. I will definitely do my best to help you.

This can occur when the printer is already recognized as the USB connection and windows does not yet detect.

The best way to solve this problem is to unplug the USB cable, run uninstall and reinstall the printer software again. Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted during the installation. Select the wireless installation. (do not install the printer as a USB connection and then run the Wireless Setup Wizard)

The other way to resolve this issue when you receive the message, is to leave the USB cable connected, remove the printer in the devices window and printers and Device Manager.

Here are the steps for access to the devices and printers and Device Manager.

From the desktop, hold down the Windows and X. This will bring up a list, open Control Panel and then devices and printers. Right-click on the printer and on the left, click on uninstall.

    To access the Device Manager:

Press the windows key and press X on the keyboard at the same time in the office.

Then click on Device Manager in the list.

Verify that connections in Device Manager for the entries of the printer, under Bus USB controllers look for a USB print media or anything with an exclamation yellow, storage device or an unknown device. Right click and uninstall the device.

Then reconnect the USB cable and it must be detectable again.

Feel free to click on the "Thumbs up" button below if it helps.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Problem setting Wi - Fi for p1102w

I am trying to install a new printer.

When the software asks you to connect to the printer via a USB cable I have plug, make sure that the printer is on, but there is no answer. I get the messdage "Waiting for you connect the device" (or words to that effect).

I use the USB port, works with other devices.

In a troubleshooting program (HP) he asked me to print a page of test via the USB cable and that worked. Same USB port.

    I am at a loss.

    Thanks for the reply.

In the end, I discovered the problem, which is close to that you have solved. One then I reinstalled the drivers. Following the instructions and connect the usb cable, rather than have already plugged into the printer and then plug it into the laptop, I reversed the order and plugged the USB into the laptop first then on order in the printer. He has worked smoothly since then.

If Noah the printer is ready to the top. I even used my Smartphone.

  • Dell XPS 8500: LaserJet Professional P1102w - problem printing envelope

Recently I had to change my router, which has led to this wireless HP printer reset, and now the envelope printing function does not work.  The broadcast for the envelopes window is in Microsoft Word, but when I click on print, an error message appears in the status area of monitor that says: "this document does not print" and a red dot on the printer flashes.  Any ideas on what settings to check/change if you print envelopes works again?  Thank you!

    Hello

You may need to reinstall the printer driver on the PC, like the printer probably got a new IP network with the new router.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-LaserJet-P1100-Printer-series/4110394/model/4110306/drivers/

Alternatively, you can just go to your control panel > devices and printers > add printer and select your wireless printer, since you probably already have the driver on your system.

  • Problems installing HP LaserJet P1102w

    Hi all!

Can anyone help me please with this problem. I bought this printer HP laserjet P1102W is approximately 4 months. It was working fine until my service provider has changed the settings to my Lynksis modem + router. So I reset the settings for my modem and if it was configured (wireless). The modem worked fine, but he could not connect with my laser printer so I uninstalled it and it was reinstalled.

    Here's the problem:

When installing using smart installation embedded in hardware (no CD), this password box continues to appear. Maybe I had entered a password for my printer before. Problem is that I have completely forgotten in this respect. This password thing is I can't install my printer properly. If I install it using configuration USB it works by USB not wireless. But I bought it for its wireless capability in the first place that's why I wanted that it functions as a wireless printer.

Can someone help me please. How can I recover this password? Or better yet, if there is a way for an password is not needed?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Problem HP Laserjet P1102w

    Hello

After several attempts and after installing the new firmware I finally managed to install the Laserjet P1102w on my Mac OS: Lion).

However, I still face a major problem in wireless printing: the printer stops printing after a while. I installed the printer via Hello, characterized by a unique SSID and a fixed IP, auto power off, set the I/O Timeout maximum. The printer is accessible via the Web interface and prints documents via ePrint mobile printing. Even if the LED lights in a constant blue, the printer firm impression.

Is there a major bug in the firmware or the printer is not compatible with OS 10.7.2?

    Hi @Lucio09,.

I understand that you must reset the printer and configure it upwards on a new network. I can help you.

Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
Printing a Configuration Page. Select the method two.

  • P1102w driver problem

The other post, I've seen here, there seems to be problems with the printer drivers for the HP P1102W printer.

To my knowlodge, I saw no solution.

Just to add to the group, here's my problem. I bought a new Imac with the installed Mavericks. I migrated files from my old Mac on toward the new.

On the new Imac, I tried to get the 1102w for a wireless connection. After several attempts having failed, I managed to get it connected. That's when I noticed problems.

The first thing I noticed was that I had more duplex printing.

Then I cound print is no longer in fashion Fast Res to save toner. All printer presets have been grayed out do not allow me to delete or modify. If I tried to create a new preset to change say res impression that it would not work. It appeared that printing was intended for high-resolution printing low speed. I checked the version of the driver and it displays 2.0. I decided to try to plug the USB cable and install the USB version of the printer. Strange thing is that now I seem to have my high resolution print back and also two back had appeared. But a problem remained however, print presets are always gray and I can't change them. the version number of this driver USB said 6.9.

My question is this: is HP will correct or update this driver or drivers to work with the new OS x Mavericks so all of us can get this printer impressive working again as its specifications say?

I was going along fine with Mountain Lion, then I made the mistake to remove the p1102w and put it back, all wireless.  I noticed that I lost the box for double-sided, 'Gender' has been p1102w. and my driver version number 1.0.  I went to another Mac connected to the same p1102w, and since the box on both sides and he says that the driver version number was 6.9 and the 'Type' of the window area, he registered p1100w.  When I deleted the p1102w again and went to reinstall, after clicking the sign more, I needed to select 'Add printer or Scanner' rather than simply click on the p1102w.  After that, I got a list of printers and the p1102w appeared as a Hello device.  When you click the p1102w in this field 'Use' default window is AirPrint.  Change this to the 6.9 pilot p1100w and you should get back your double-sided printing option.

  • P1102w printer: PROBLEMS of SHARING of WIFI p1102w

    Hello

My name is Murilo and my main language is not English, so sorry for any ortographic errors.

My problem is with the part, I me am formatted my computer cause before the XP and now I've upgraded to Windows 7. I have install the printer with the correct wifi features and I can't share on another computer, I already try to install the hp software and with the installation disc. I already try also reset the printer in factory configurations and install again and nothing.

I really need help to fix this problem, if anyone can help me I want to stay happy.

Thank you and sorry for ortographic errors.

    Hi Muurilobf,

Thanks for providing the screenshot. I see 2 registrations for the Laserjet P1102w in the screenshot. What happens when you try to select and continue? (I would choose the Laserjet P1102 at the bottom of the list)

Please provide details, you were able to run the Add Printer Wizard and the IPv4 address and you were able to print, correct?

If you can add the printer in this way, then I would be not concerned about adding the printer through the search option.

Make sure that the Windows Firewall and Antivirus is temporarily disabled when you try to add the printer.

Here is a document to enable the file and printer sharing.

    Thank you.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Router reboot printer wireless problem cures - why?

Ive had this printer (P1102w LaserJet) for a year now. Sometimes its been very well, other times as recently happened constantly offline. Its driving me crazy.

I just read online that can help to restart the router and the last two times, my printer went offline, restart the router has healed (power cycling of the printer, by running a utility that stops & starts the spooler - did any of these things).

So my question is - why reboot the router to fix this? Both times I was surfing online with this same router, and I have not noticed any problem with this router. And secondly, is there a setting that I can change into my router so that it will not goof the printer wireless?

    HP LaserJet p1102w

OK, I'm about ideas.  I suggest check the firmware, there is a version 20150114 which was released end of March 2015 available here.

It can also help to go through all the steps described in the paper here.

If none of these solves the problem I will ask one of the HP support officers rush in this thread, they may have some additional suggestions.

  • HP Laserjet P1102W wireless connection problem

I have a P1102W which worked very well up to what it wasn't wireless.  I use an AT & T Uverse 2Wire router and Windows Vista.  I have not changed anything, and one day the network would not recognize the wireless printer.  I've turned off (unplugged) everything and turned on the back without success. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the printer and have just received a message that the network could not connect to the printer.  The printer works when it is connected with a cable, but the blue wireless light just blinks and then turns off - indicating that there are no wireless signal.  All other devices and wireless printers on this network work very well.  HP support was no help, because the warranty had expired 2 DAYS ago!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi kadmiral,

    Follow the steps below.

1 uninstall the printer to the computer using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

    2. download the software and the driver for your operating system from the link below.

HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer drivers

    3. follow step 3: connect to the wireless network - second method: Standard connecting with a USB cable

If your wireless router does not support Router Setup (WPS), you can use this method to set up the product on a wireless network. With the help of a cable USB to transfer parameters facilitates establishing a Wi - Fi connection. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB cable.
