  Try the following.

  Judgment of the laptop.

  Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Bios Menu ( f10 ).

  Under the System Configuration tab, expand the Boot Options Menu.

  If you still receive the error, return to the Bios Menu, System Configuration tab and expand the Boot Options Menu.

  This is the normal case "quick start" is selected in the power options menu and there is really no problem with that. "

  You can always check that this is the case as follows.

  Open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

  In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close all open windows.

  Stop the notebook, then start it again and check the value of the CPU operating time.

  Personally, if it is not causing any trouble, I would turn on "quick start".

  Hello and thanks for posting back.  In this case, what I would suggest is to do a system restore to where he worked.  If that doesn't fix it phone support for your laptop repair options.

• Pavilion 15 laptop: Start button / stop does not turn off

  After the upgrade to windows 10, "sleep" mode did not work, however a windows update corrects this problem. The only problem I have seen today is that when I stopped my laptop the power button stays on your battery and I have to manually turn off (by pressing for 5 seconds).  What I do is turn on the computer again and stop it again, and then it turns off completely. I m afraid that force close down may harm the computer.  As info... I bought my laptop this year, came with windows 8.1.  Any help? Thanks in advance.

  1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.
     • Navigate to HP Software and Driver Downloads site (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html) to find the last pilot approved for your model.  Filtrer filter by version, select Microsoft Windows 8.1 on the menu drop-down.  Find the download in the category 'Driver-Chipset'  If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is listed, download.  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe) works for most models.]
     • If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is NOT listed, download the driver appropriate directly from Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=intel+management+engine).  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23091/Intel-ME-9-Management-Engine-Driver-for-Intel-NUC) works for most models.]
  2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
  3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
     • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
     • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
     • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
     • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
  4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
     • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
  5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
  6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  If your battery off not easily with a lock at the back of the laptop, you can hold the power button for 30 sec with the power cord removed to do the same.

  The battery on my PC - computer HP Pavilion 15 laptop is connected but does not support. It seems to happen for a while, because he says that the battery is at 0%. I checked some old posts here, they spoke to remove battery to check the AC adapter and power cord. I guess I can't do that since the battery has zero percent left, once I unplugged the power cord, the laptop was gone black, so I guess it must be the battery problem. It seems pretty complicated to check if my battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced, is there an easier way for me to decide if I need a new battery?

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 and problems with the battery, no load before turning off. Here is a link to calibrate and test the battery.  Here is a link to solve the problems of the battery on a laptop. You should be able to complete these with the laptop plugged into the AC adapter.

  Plug in the power adapter directly into a wall outlet works. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.
