  • Sections stock scanner & printer preference is missing from the Solutions Center

I just bought a 6510 Photosmart e-all-in-one. I had no problem setting up on my laptop and set it up easily on an old desktop PC. However, I noticed in the center of HP Solutions on the laptop that two sections are missing from this - Actions "Scan" and "Printer Preferences". The only sections appearing on the page of the laptop are connected solutions, commercial Web resources, help & Support, then disclosures of personal information. However, the missing sections both appear on center of my Solutions desktop PC. How can I get they appear on Solutions Center the laptop?

The Solutions Center I want to talk about is the page that appears when I click on all programs / HP / series Photosmart HP 6510 / HP Photosmart 6510 series or the icon of the printer.

    Desktop PC - Windows 7 Professional (32-bit)

    Laptop - Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

EDIT: I completely rewrote this post, including the title I used the terminology wrong so I hope that makes more sense now and I can get an answer to my problem. Maybe even an expert!

Apologies in advance to the moderators if I did the wrong thing by rewriting, sorry.

Due to a lot of things in my life I never had to call HP. However yesterday I did something stupid and had to reformat my hard drive. As a result, I had a clean slate to work with, and last night I was finally able to install the missing stock Scanner and Printer preferences. What I noticed during installation this time, was that I had an additional question that I could choose to install from the full functionality driver, called Smart something thing-or-other (sorry, can't remember title), which certainly is not in the list before (this is the same list that includes HP Photo Creations). I don't know why that did not exist before, but maybe it could be that I installed the printer in order to deparaments of the one below. He would have just because the news about my previous printer, which I had uninstalled it, was somehow still on my PC. Was the order I completed the installation in this time - 1) go to devices and printers, add printer, click the Photosmart series 6510 with the URL contains only numbers & points, and NOT the one with http / / in front of him (which is the link to the eprint centre) 2) download the driver full features on the site of HP , launched the present and choose what to install. And voila!

  • Where are the Solution Center shortcuts, and how to use the (Scans)

A frustration more than Windows 8 to get more than

I have attached my C3180 to my new Windows 8 machine and the software installed.  It is running, but I'm a bit lost in the use of the center of Solution that seems different from what I had on XP.

    1. the only way I could see to change the destination of a scan, has been to create a new shortcut with the destination I want to use.  Is this correct?

    2. now that I have a short cut, where is it? When I run a scan from the Solution Center, the analysis proceeds to the default destination, so it must use the default shortcut.

Is it possible to use the start scanning on the home of the solution Center window and make the scan go to my choice of the destination folder?

    Quit smoking research

I found how to use the solution Center in Windows 8 here.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m: HP Solution Center does not work

Improved win7 to Win10 House and it worked all fine until a few weeks ago.  Now when I open the HP Solution Center, the drive vibrates for a while, I see HPqdirec.exe (32 bit) process for a second in the Task Manager (not all the time but that could be just instant calendar), the Bell PC bumps (each time) but the window does not open.  There is no error message, no even if I run it from a command prompt window.

I tried to uninstall the HP printing software (originally installed in Win7) - he asked me to restart the PC to continue the uninstall - but then he pointed out a mistake and said: he has failed.  Now when I try to uninstall it, it has no installed components.  I have correctly installed the latest PS_AIO_06_C309g-m_140_408 - 5.exe and the printer works but not the center of the Solution.

The only recent software change that comes to mind is that I went free Avast antivirus with AVG free.  Do not know if the symptoms coincide with this change.  Disable AVG has no effect.

I have uninstalled & installed the latest version of Adobe Flash player, but that makes no difference.

  • Series of HP Photosmart C4500 - problem Solution Center

Whenever I start my computer, a box appears that says "Solution Center" - the component you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource. Check ok to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package. The path shown is Solution Center.msi and use source is: C:\users\toni\appdata\local\temp\7zS36A7\setup.

I clicked on 'Browse' computer, local disk C, program files (x 86) created HP 29/09/2013, open cllicked and nothing worked. I had to click on 'Cancel' many times before disappearing. Then he said: check HP site for a fix.

HP is no longer my printer HP Photosmart 4520 present on its support site and I can't find any way to stop this message from appearing whenever I start my computer which is a HP Pavilion dv6-1230us Entertainment Notebook PC.

The printer works fine and when I opened the center of Solution from the Start button, it opened.

    Hi ToniB1,

    Thanks for providing this information.

I would disable the two of them. Everything that is related to HP.

Then restart it to see if the error appears again.

If you are still questions then I'd another uninstall and reinstall. Sorry, I know that you have already done this a few times, but with these additional steps should solve the problem.

Please follow the steps listed below:

    Uninstalling the printer software.

Ignore the name of the model.

Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%.

Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted.

    Run all Windows updates.

I would register in the register of installation of the window.
Go to start, select Run type in msiexec / unregister then click OK, and then type msiexec/regserver, then click OK.
(Make sure that you type it in exactly, there is a space between the two)

Disk Cleanup tool system Accessories\ How to delete files using disk cleanup.

Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

    Restart the computer.

Go to the start up programs and disable any startup programs to see if this will allow the full software to install. (msconfig)

Apply the settings, and then restart the computer.

    Temporary disable all Antivirus software.

Reinstall the software of the printer again.

The printer test again to see if everything is installed.

Please let me know the results.

    Thank you.

  • HP C6180 AIO - HP - no. devices detected Solution Center

Recently had to reset my modem network and DSL router.  Before this reset my printers were HP Photosmart 6100 series and HP Photosmart 6100 Series Fax. The HP Solution Center will begin to initialize the top and view the status of the printer etc.. After the "reset" it has only the HP Photosmart 6100 series, No Fax. When I start the HP Solution Center, the message "no HP devices detected" appears followed by the closing of the transaction.

I went through the process of removing all of the HP software, HP Essential and HP Essential 3.5 and associated with the printer and reinstalled drivers ALL in one software. The HP Solution Center has worked, but stop working after you stop and restart.

I have an HP computer running Windows Vista System 32.

    Any Suggestions?

    Solved

After a month of frustration, I found an answer to my problem.

I found a disc that I downloaded from HP for a dated driver AIO labeled "AIO_CDA_FULL_NETWORK_enu" VER4.42.0.0 dated 25/10/2007 file, 159 MB. I had used this file earlier when I had a similar problem with the printer and Windows XP. I loaded the file, and the hp Solution Center recognizes the printer. FAX and scan modes work fine.

I don't know what that answer key, but now the printer works properly.

  • Scans failed in the solution Center HP claiming huge amounts of space

    Hello

This morning, I tried (twice) scan a large document on a disk that was too full to accommodate it.  Each time, the failure of the scan and HP Solution Center crashed.  Although I looked at disk space decreases after each addition of page, the space was not restored after the program crashed, and I can't find anything that looks like to the document (be it temporary or final form).  These scans are stored in a temporary form somewhere? If this isn't the case, someone has any advice to reconquer the 1.5 GB of space the two scans ' ate '?

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hi Shane,

Believe it or not, I think that I thought about it.  I downloaded a handy utility called WinDir Stat (http://windirstat.info/) which told me the 'Temp' my file 'Documents and Settings' folder under my user name.  There is a folder called "maglevexpresstemp" that contains two subfolders (full of 30 + .tmp files), one more concert and a little less.  They have been created both the morning of my scans and, together, account for the missing space; that these are the scans in question seems to be supported by the following (and many others):

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/scanners/HP-ScanJet-8250-corrupted-software/TD-p/1154178

    http://superuser.com/questions/193958/why-does-scanning-take-up-so-much-space

... don't really know why my disk cleanup do not take these temporary files, but this seems to be my problem as yours more.  In any case, I am pleased that the missing space has been restored.

    Thank you

    Peter

  • How to return to an earlier version of the HP Solution Center?

    Hello

I have a HP Ultrabook (Windows 7) and an all-in-one (quite old), the HP PhotoSmart C3180, as well as a HP Scanjet G4050. Everything was dandy until I installed the latest version of the HP Solution Center.

Which led to (1) make the C3180 not scan, and (2) launch its color print record (he can no longer auto-align color prints are fuzzy).

Of course, I'm tempted to revert to the previous version of the HP Solution Center and stay with it. Could someone explain to me how this is done?

I currently have version 130.0.44.62 of the installed Solution Center.

    Thank you

    John

    Hi Jayfull,

I can't wait to hear that you have questions. Unfortunately the previous versions of the software for this printer are not compatible with Windows 7.  You may be able to get some of the components to install another operating system or install it using compatibility mode, but there is no guarantee that any of these options will work. I have included a link to the Microsoft support page to use the software in compatiability mode. Are you able to analyze through fax scan Windows or MS paint? The solution center should not have caused the alignment problems or blurred impressions seen. We must address the possibility of a failure of the printer if you are unable to align. You are able to print the self-test page?  See if you can access the Toolbox through the preferences to perform the alignment, please see the steps below.  Also before trying the software in compatibility mode, click here to run the doctor print and scan. Click on the + sign next to the utility-diagnostic tools, and then click Download next to print and scan the doctor.  We may be able to solve the problems of simple software with Solution Center through utility which can help with the issue.

    Search the Toolbox:

    1. go to the printed case

    2. right click on the printer driver, the printer properties select

    3. in the populous dialog box, on the general tab, click the Preferences button down

    4. click on the features tab

    5. click on the services below to the right printer button

    6. Select the services tab

    7. if available select align cartridges

    To print a self-test report:

    1. press and hold cancel them on the control panel.

2 press and hold Cancel, press start copy color.

    Print the self-test report

Make older programs in this version of Windows, click here NOTE: this is a 3rd party site, HP and I are not responsible for the content of this page.

Let me know the above information and the results of the utility, attempt to page and alignment test.  I'll help you in any way I can.

  • HP Photosmart 2570 - scanning parameters not no projection in the HP Solution Center software

Everything worked, and then it stopped working. After several uninstalls and reinstalls, I have running HP solution center software but don't show any scanning settings. I am not able to scan. The button to scan does not yet show upward.

How can I get the scan to show button and do scan?

Try bypassing the solution center to access the scan function.

To work around the centre of solutions for scanning:

    1. Click on the on the start menu.
    2. Click on computer.
    3. Open the C drive.
    4. Open the Program Files (x 86) folder.
    5. Open the HP folder.
    6. Open the folder of digital imaging.
    7. Open the bin folder.
    8. Run the hpiscnapp.exe.

If the hpiscnapp.exe shows the scan options and allows you to scan, then right click and create a shortcut on the desktop, then you won't have to dig for it every time.  I was going to name the shortcut something like HP Scan, so you know what it is.  Let me know what happens.

I can scan the image using the HP solutions, at the same high resolution Center, and the image will scan very well.

I don't remember when I had the answer to my problem but I thought that I asked the question in the HP forum (it would have been some time in late 2010) and then someone answered with the solution to my problem. But I can't find the post I did then.

    Hello JimTrail

After watching this on the web, it seems that you is maybe to something. From what I found, GIMP uses a lot of resources, especially true for larger images. He isn't able to handle the scanning of an image as large as 4800dpi without additional RAM or virtual memory to compensate for the RAM.

My suggestion would be to increase the size to the recommended or higher. Out of curiosity how much physical RAM have you? Microsoft recommends that virtual memory for no more than 3 times the amount of RAM installed. See article: change the size of virtual memory.

You can also see the article below on the Tile Cache GIMP.org.
