HP Touchsmart 300-1015uk not light

I bought this pc in good faith expect the ambient light and wirelesss keyboard.  I now have the knowledge, it didn't. I am deeply dissatisfied with say the least.  HPs own tech support said that the ambient light should be on this model.  I want to return this pc and have been emailing the technicians at hp who said that they would increase to a case manager.  Someone rang in South Africa, I think, but I could not hear them I tried to ring back about 15 times but its always engaged.  It's frustrating, does anyone know how to contact the hp customer service.  I live in Ireland, but the pc was shipped from the United Kingdom to me.

Thank you

Mark

Hello

I guess all return.  HP gave me an upgrade to a HP Touchsmart 600-1050uk.  It took a few e-mails and a few calls for their service to the customer, but they are good at the end.

Congratulations HP!

  • TouchSmart 300-1125 (Jesse APP78-CF) do not start BIOS

    Hello

I have a HP touchsmart 300-1125 with windows 7 64 bit, version of the motherboard is APP78-CF Jesse.  I can't even start the BIOS!  Can someone help with this at all?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

You say that you can not boot to BIOS, but are you able to get into windows or not?

Your text, I think you have more problems then the startup in the BIOS, surely you can not even go to windows, I'm wrong?

If this is the case, if you turn on the device and you have a black screen, you probably have a problem with the mother/CPU board, and they could be replaced.

If you have knowledge or someone who can help, you can do a power reset first, remove the AC adapter and press and hold the power button down for 30 seconds, then try to connect to the device.

If this is not enough, make a memory reset, remove the memory module, insert it on an empty slot and try to start the machine, if nothing happens, try to start unity wihtout the memory and see if you beep codes.

If this is not enough, one thing you could try would be a reset of the CPU, but that one is a process more complex.

Give me more deails, and we'll see what it is, so to provide more details and confirm if I'm right about your problem, if not, provide more details and we can check if the steps that I have proposed, can be applied by you.

    Thank you

  • I have a TouchSmart 300-1007 that performs a hard block after about 30 minutes to be turned.

I have a TouchSmart 300-1007 that performs a hard block after about 30 minutes to be turned.

Windows 7 Home Edition, the stock machine, even if it does even if I start in diagnostics (F9 at the start of the BIOS), so I doubt it has nothing to do with the operating system.

By "hard block", I mean the screen goes black, the wireless keyboard is not flashing blue light on the USB FOB and the power button only turns off although it by hand for 30 seconds. I have to pull the power cord to turn it off.

It started shortly after the application of the 5.12 version 2A8E update motherboard BIOS published 2011-03-24. Never should have done that; experience shows that I have more problems than improving when updatng BIOS' are.

No heat problem (air vents are clean as a whistle). I suppose the best thing would be to restore the BIOS but I don't know if it is possible, or how to do it.

This is my daily workstation and is now effectively a boat anchor / deadline / brick.

    Any ideas?

Yay for me. My dose of GENIUS has had this problem for THREE DAYS running machine now without any problem whatsoever.

It it CERTAINLY evil genius of this machine, no doubt.

Other victims of the Touchsmart series should regroup and get some kind of compensation. I know that I had to buy a new computer to replace this one when it stopped working, and I spent a TON of time to solve the problem (it would be an easy solution to the factory; not so easy at home)

  • HP TouchSmart 300-1120: the video card upgrade

I came into possession of a HP Touchsmart 300-1120. I do not use not for the games just the navigation and use to watch movies when traveling through Plex home theater.

I've updated the CPU to an Athlon X 4 605th & maxed out the RAM 8 GB. I noticed that I can upgrade the video card using the Mobile PCI Express Module slot.  Even though I know that the GPU Radeon HD 3200 onboard can handle HD videos, he hangs out considerably. even though I have the film on the hard drive.

So the question is, where can find one of these cards. And is there a way to upgrade the PSU?

  • TouchSmart 300: Windows 10 no sound

    Hello

I have upgraded to windows 7 to 10 and have now no sound. I tried to update the audio driver which is updated but still no sound. ideas please

    Isca13

Without your specific model number, I can't check for your PC, but I checked several Touchsmart 300 models and the problem is that your driver is NOT updated - and cannot be updated.  Why? Because HP does not provide the Win10 for the Touchsmart 300 pilots.

If you follow the instructions in the thread and post your detailed model number, I can check for your model: find your model of HP product number. HP® customer support

But fundamentally, the problem that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 driver for your laptop.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

Here are a few alternatives to pilot, you can continue...

You can try to use Windows updates to find the drivers from Microsoft deposits for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139

You can also try following the instructions in this thread: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04763435/

If Windows Update doesn't give new drivers, you can pursue alternative which are described in the linked Microsoft Windows Insider community thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If you then run into trouble, install the drivers through Windows Update, you can try to use of Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

    Good luck

  • HP TouchSmart 300 connection issues

Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 300 with Windows 7 Edition Home Premium that I bought in 2008. Yesterday morning it was working completely fine. The end of the night when I turned it on again, it took a while to start and join the log on screen. I was thinking just leave it off overnight and turn it on the next morning to see if that would help. I turned it on this morning and it took awhile to get to the log on screen, but he got there. Once I logged it took awhile to open a session and he stayed right on the Welcome screen indicating the loading circle. When he connected, the screen was black. Works and move the cursor, but everything else was black. I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Del and the usual options screen appeared. I clicked on log off. I then logged back in and it started to load for awhile then all returned to the login screen. I connected again and again the black screen with the cursor to work. So I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Del again and cliked start the Task Manager and it returned to the black screen. After 10 minutes to leave her like that the Task Manager appears but the rest of the screen is always black. I know 5 years will be a great run by a computer these days, but I just want to know if I could still save and continue to use it.

Does anyone have an idea of what might happen and how I could solve this problem?
    This happened to someone else?

  • My UK Touchsmart 300 will work in the United States?

I bought my Touchsmart 300 at the United Kingdom 2 years ago.  Now, I'm moving back to the United States and bring it with me.   I have an adapter for it and if so, what kind?

    Ed,

Yes, I meant the laptop as power supply. However, since it has an internal power supply, please provide the full name of the HP model and/or the name of the product to the computer in question. I'm trying to determine if the power supply is auto-allant 100 to 240 volts as laptop power supplies are.

    Information of a product number: VG255AA / name of the model: HP TOUCHSMART 300-1025UK indicates that the internal power supply looks like;

    http://allpcpower.com/images/products/detail/517133001FULL.jpg

    http://allpcpower.com/images/products/detail/517133001DETAILLABEL.jpg

This picture shows clearly... of 100-240 v, while the first image does not display a red switch. This should indicate that the power is automatic. Now, if your computer uses the same power supply... you can be good to go, just using a computer 110V US cable.

    Please send Bravo

  • TouchSmart 300 Windows 7, re - install on hard drive replacement problem. Help!

I have official restore for my Touchsmart 300 disks and try to get it back on a hard drive, which I took from another machine. Drive hard said have left include Win 7 and Win XP. When I try to boot from the recovery CD, I am taken to the old hard drive Artemision boot menu, not the installation of the recovery disc. If I continue on this path there, I get an error message and a suggestion from my hard drive is damaged. Repair disk option can fix anything. Recovery Console doesn't help either. Why the CD read and overwrite all the old stuff on the hard drive?

    It is a good idea.

They can have tools or diagnostic we individuals have no which can isolate the cause.

    Hello Luijo,

Is the computer is completely shut down until the power strip is turned off? If the computer is set to return to the last power state after a power cut so he could turn himself back on thinking that there is a power failure.

In the BIOS, check the setting to "After AC Power Failure" changing of auto off.

    Hi all

I have a HP TouchSmart 300-1025. It came pre-installed with Windows 7 (Home) 64-bit. I have repeatedly tried to install Win 7 (home) 32 bit. Whenever the system is close to complete the installation of the OS, I get a blue screen that indicates very briefly on the screen. From what I see during his momentary appearance, mentions blue screen and memory dump physical. I can't the system to complete the installation of Win 7 (home) 32-bit. The collision process is repeated. Anyone would be able to provide some useful tips? This system is not designed to receive one other than its image as a stock OS install? I have a hardware problem? I run a diagnostic check in the bios. All controls of spend. I would appreciate help, if none is available.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello dendriform:

Of course it goes crashing, you can not install software for Windows 7 32 bit on a 64-bit operating computer you need to stick with Windows 7 64 bit software there is a big difference in OS OK. If you want to run the older version of the software on your 64-bit Windows 7 computer you can always but not all software work can you get grade Windows 7 home 64 bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and once that is downloaded will go to microsoft website and download windows xp mode. These computers are not 32-bit computers. That's your problem, and that's why it crashes. Back to Windows 7 home 64 bit software. As you cannot install software 64-bit on a 32-bit computer with a change of 3d parts of computer hard drives and cards that never need to change the.

  • TouchSmart 300: CMOS battery

My HP Touchsmart 300 resets the date of 2001, whenever it is turned on.  I googled the problem and the most likely solution is to replace the CMOS battery. Which panels at the back of the computer to access the battery and it is quite straightfoeward to replace?

    Thanks for your help.

    @banhien

The RTC battery is actuallly pretty easy to replace in this model. All it takes is patience and organization to perform the task.

You are right. A flat CMOS battery will cause the BIOS do not store the date and time system. It must be replaced by a new battery. You will need a CR2032 battery, which can be purchased at the pharmacy, Wal-Mart or an electronics store.

The panels at the rear of the PC are quite simple to remove and replace. You will need to get to the motherboard to replace the RTC battery.

See the video on the following document. See minute 05:20 where you can see the RTC battery.
