Steve,

Two things generally result in a matter of "Awakening". Look here for a bios and update video card.

I am running windows 7 ultra on computer dell xps QuadCore 8300 and recently my computer sometimes wake up after hibernation when I move the mouse so I have to shut down the computer using the power button can you help me.

Go to your control panel and go to your Power Options. No matter what plan you have selected, click on "Change plan settings", then click "change advanced settings of power."

This should open a list of options, now click on the button '+' option of sleep and
change the "Allow hybrid sleep" to "Off".

Just a note, you can avoid only the computer from sleep mode hybrid, means the hard disk activity will remain intact. So the next time your windows is asleep, you can always get on easily by just moving the mouse or pressing a keyboard button.

My PC has just recently decided to not now, this usually occurs after she slept all night... The Tower, wireless keyboard & mouse wireless all have power but the screen won't wake up... Hello @koko,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I read your post on how your desktop computer had decided not to wake recently, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

Although you said you were hesitant to restore your power options, I think that restoring the default power management will contribute to correct Mode operations your computer sleep. This is possible by following the steps below:

Step 1. Click the Start button
Step 2. In the search box, type "Command Prompt"
Step 3. Right click on command prompt

Step 4. Click on run as administrator
Step 5. At the command prompt, type powercfg /restoredefaultschemes

    Step 6. Press enter

In addition, I also recommend later in this document on a dispute with the sleep and hibernation (Windows 8) Modes. This will help you configure your system correctly with the standby or Hibernation mode.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

    Concerning

  • iMac 5K (2016) will not all wake up with connected external display

I have an iMac 27 "5K nine. My first Mac from Windows - it was a world of frustration and then most of the things I re-learned or found of alternatives for, I have a major problem of the iMac not wake from sleep. It took days to change things and we cut the field down to discover is an external monitor at the origin of the problem.

I have a LG 23MP75 IPS monitor hooked up to 90 degrees. This is a debugging, screen bash and the cat. So I develop sites on the main iMac screen in the Sublime editor and also check the sites in the browser, and then on the external I Inspector chrome, terminal and Skype/cat stuff. When the device is connected, it works well, no problems. If she goes to sleep for a short period of time like 30 minutes or less, he wakes up. If he goes into a deep sleep (hibernation?), he don't wake. Sometimes holding the key ctrl + p + r, cmd and press work but mostly not, usually I have to pull on the power cord! for a restart. Heart-wrenching. The only solution at the present time it unplug the HDMI until I go home every day.

The external monitor is connected through a HDMI cable that is routed into an 'active' HDMI mini-Display port adapter. I was told that the adapter is active is important after I had one active and bought assets to try to solve this problem. I read that the removal of the hibernation file may contribute to allow OS x to replace but I opened it instead and it is empty so not corrupt (sudo rm/var/vm/drag).

If I stop and restart, the login screen is badly laid out, it has mirrored screen not extended display which is how it is implemented. See the images to compare. This makes me wonder if part of the problem is OSX being unhappy with the configuration of the monitor outside being connected?

Here is the screen set up the config so you can see that there is nothing out of the ordinary:

There is no strange configuration, the machine was brand new from Apple themselves, by default on the box, no restoration or something like that as I'm new to Mac.

Can anyone offer any suggestions to fix the problem so I didn't either unplug the cable or the stop (which brings me to see the connection in horrible mirror every morning)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have 90 days of free telephone support, AppleCare, called Apple to discuss and see what solution they have? If you weren't aware that you had 90 days of support AppleCare please click on http://www.apple.com/support/complimentary/. In addition, if you haven't already, I highly recommend buying AppleCare, that extend the warranty to 3 years and 3 years of phone to provide support. If your machine ever needs repair (lets hope he never does) AppleCare pays for itself almost always on the first incident.

  • Satellite U305-S7432 freezes and does not sometimes using Win XP

    Hello.

    I have a portable Satellite U305-S7432.
Initially, it came with Vista, but I reformatted with XP Pro. I have installed all updates up to service pack 3.

My problem is that sometimes when I try to restart the computer, simply, it freezes and does not meet any entry. I noticed that this happens if I close and then open the cover (which means that the computer goes mode sleep entry and returns).

Please note that the splash screen works perfectly well and the computer wakes from sleep fine but then when I try to restart, the computer will simply spend time instead of restart.

If it goes into sleep mode, reboot takes place as planned.

I installed all the drivers and there is no question mark in Device Manager. I've updated the latest chipset from Intel (for the mobile 965) driver as well. Finally, I also tried to add /forceresetreg my Boot.ini file (as suggested: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822624) but nothing helps.

    Any ideas?

It is a series of laptop computers Toshiba us and you should check the Toshiba driver page for available drivers:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jsp

If you will not find XP drivers for this page, then you can try to install unique drivers for Sat U300 since European Toshiba page but I not quite sure if these drivers XP will work on you Sat U305 Mr. but it s worth a try!

  • Equium M50-244 does not not to wake up on LAN

A notebook Equium M50-244 does not meet the magic packet WOL.

The BIOS settings are correct and show adapter LAN ENABLED, Wake on LAN: ENABLED.

The sticker on the laptop and the original box gives a different MAC address to know what the device itself (ifconfig or lshw). No matter, the laptop does not account the magic packets for two MAC addresses.

Using Wireshark, I see that the WOL packets are certainly diffuse with properly formatted MAC addresses.

My thought is now that it is a BIOS problem but I can't find the right bios for this machine.

What would be the best bios match? Keep in mind this box is Linux.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    See you soon

    Nick

    Hello

Have you checked if the WOL is enabled in the network card settings?
Do you know how to check this?

Go to the Device Manager, expand network adapter s and mark LAN card.
Then, go to the properties of the network adapter and check the Advanced tab.

There are a lot of different settings and a configuration option must refer to the WOL.

I would also update the main especially video drivers - check again the power management
    Settings after installation.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your
System. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address
of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
    more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right
Click on - uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Lightroom opens not sometimes, and when it does, cannot import images

I have Lightroom CC.  I am extremely frustrated.  I had it on my old laptop, and everything was pretty good.  I have a new computer.  I loaded Lightroom on it.  I can't import my card images CF.  It does not recognize my external drive where I keep my Lightroom folder.  It recognizes the card (sometimes) like Lexar, instead of the previous Canon.  Sometimes the set preview to the point sometimes images not.  I was advised (and I probably should not have done this) to restore the original preferences.  Yes, I did.  Still nothing.  I thought that maybe I didn't have enough space on my external hard drive.  I imported AN image, and he did it very well.  Then, I could not go back to the library.  I'm SO tired of seeing that stupid small circle and waiting, hoping that he'll do something. I have a wedding to shoot in a few weeks and am terrified that I won't be able to download one of my photos.  I'm ready to tear my hair as before the update of Windows (not sure who had nothing to do with anything, maybe a coincidence), everything seemed to work (on my old computer) very well.  Had not really begun to do anything on my new up to our days, when the old one was.  I'm so confused at this minute I don't know what to do or who to ask.  FOR INFO.  I have a Canon 5 d and 5 d Mark IV.  I know that, for some time, the Mark IV would not import into Lightroom.  I had no problems with the 5 d, but now I am.  I import to an external hard drive to a CF card reader, traditionally.  Now, NOTHING works properly, and I am not technically savvy enough to understand or understand have the solutions I've read online.  I'm afraid to try the download of Mark IV, too.  I need HELP!

First of all, make sure you are updated to 2015.7, which is required for the 5 d Mark IV.

Go to help > about Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to see what version you have.

If it's something less than 2015.7, you need to update.

First of all, try help > updates. If this does not work, download the update 2015.7 here:

    Update of Lightroom

After a successful 2015.7 update, you should be able to import from your camera.

    Hi Miki

I have connected my cellphone to unity by using BT several times and each time it works without problem. I put t know how you set up your mobile phone, but please do it on this path:

1 activate the Bluetooth using the FN + F8 key combination
    2. install the new hardware if necessary (some of them)
    3. start the Bluetooth stack
4 turn on the Bluetooth on the mobile phone (discoverable)

    5. Select the Express mode > next
    6. choose visible device listed in the list of Bluetooth devices > next
7 choose to identify passkey (1234)
    8. Enter the key in the mobile phone. Twinning will be success
    9. go on Next and configure the internet connection (provider number) > finish
    10. the new connection will be created in the Bluetooth stack utility
    11. you can start the numbering with double click or click with the right button of the mouse and choose Connect

I set up my Nokia on this path. If you want to connection start the Bluetooth settings you can find in Toshiba Assist on the CONNECTION tab. Double click on the created connection must activate the connection procedure.
