  Thanks for a quick reply. After I posted this question, I continued to try to locate the plugin - and I did, under the Extensions. I took it from there. I'm not positive at this time were the "plugin" in the Control Panel, I normally look there, and it is not located there now. I found it a bit odd that he was only in a section of regedit.   I ran twice and I can't logically explain why it occurs.

  On first installation I finally have the PC connected directly to the cable modem, after disabling the firewall software.

• I downloaded the latest Firefox security update and my computer access is no longer the internet anyway, despite the fact that I'm always connected to the internet. Other browsers do not work either.
