IdeaPad 13: Touch not working not not after connecting USB device

Hi - I use a USB MIDI keyboard (Akai LPK25) with my Ideapad. I have not previously had a problem with this configuration, but since about a week there, as soon as I plug the device touchscreen becomes invalid. Remove the device is not restore functionality of touchscreen; In fact, I have to restart.

Thoughts? Was there a recent USB update that causes this problem?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply! With the help of the other port USB actually alleviate the problem, but then I upgraded to 8.1 Windows and simultaneously upgraded USB drivers, and the problem seems to have been resolved - for now).

  • Not recognized/defective USB device

My sister has her ipod touch over at me because she asked me to restore it for her because she has forgotten her password. I tried to plug the ipod into my laptop and a message pops up saying, "USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. "I sat during most of the night trying to figure out what's wrong. I've been to about 50 Web sites and that you have not yet found a solution. The Ipod does not charge when connected to my laptop, but it will be when its connected to my PS3. I have all the updated drivers, update to itunes, etc. Its driving me crazy. All solutions?

  • ProBook 4740 s will not feed if USB devices are connected

G ' Day, I have a ProBook s 4740 and after taking the laptop to the site, when I'm home and plugged things back, by pressing the power button would see it for a few seconds and then od light out. The LED above the power would have flashes once and then turns off. Needless to say, it would not start up.

After a lot of frustration, I found that by unplugging all (wired Ethernet and USB devices) and by pressing the power button it would start up and even when starting I could plug the devices and everything is OK.

I had to return to the site today and when I came back again, it wouldn't power up until I unplugged the USB devices. USB devices are external hard drives only, all running through a powered USB hub.

This configuration has worked without any problems for wells in the year I've had the ProBook.

    This could be the cause?

    Thank you.

    The last update :-)

After downloading the BIOS update, I decided to wait until I had a break in things until I applied it. Then around one hour before, I saw the red exclamation mark on the HP Support Assistant in the taskbar. Open it, there was an update of the available BIOS, so I decided to let him do. At this point, no indication that it was the F.60 update.

I hate doing these updates that work at the machine code level where if things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong.

Well, everything went well. Updated the BIOS and restart the computer. I went back in to the support assistant and got the information on the computer, and he says that it is now the F.60 version. If she went from F.43 to F.60

I power it off, wait a minute, then restarted with everything plugged in and it worked correctly.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Push does not not after restarting the device?

So we have successfully implemented BlackBerry push with our Android app-focus.  The application registers with RIM and receives a response of success.  We register successfully the info back to our application server.  Our application server send push messages to the device, they are accepted by the RIM servers and are received successfully on the device.  Everything is great!

    Except...

If we shut down the device or reboot the device when he returns is no longer receives pushes for the application unless that register again with RIM BPA.  They are sent to the device and the same agreed before they get simply never received on the device.

What we're doing wrong?  Is he expected to receive pushed back them after a reboot of the device that the user must launch our app to record with pusher?  It would be really weird because a user will not necessarily start the application after each reboot.

Thanks for that bring to our attention. We have the Android Runtime search dev team in this.

As ennova2005 said, you need to unregistor/re-resistance after a reboot as a work-around. In addition, because the application does not start automatically, the application must be opened/started by the user.

    Thank you

  • Satellite L450D not start - think usb device is connected

Hello. I have a portable satellite L450D running Windows 7, which will not start. It gets to the loading of the windows with the windows logo page, but it will not go beyond this point.

I tried repairing the system, and that tells me that a device is always connected to the laptop. I think it's maybe my phone, I had connected by usb last week. The usb cable is removed physically but the laptop obviously thinks that it is still connected.

I'm passed through different service options - system repair, System Restore, restore the last good config, boot into safe mode but nothing seems to work.

Ive tried to connect the phone while the laptop is trying to start and then disconnect it but still no luck. The laptop still think that the phone is connected.

Ive not tridd remove the battery from the laptop, as it's apparently quite difficult.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance

    Hello

I would recommend you check the boot order in the BIOS.
Go to the BIOS by pressing F2 by turning on the device.
Now, press F9 to get the default settings and save the changes press F10.
Also check if you can disable the legacy USB if it s is not available, ignore this tip.
Now, restart the laptop and test if it would boot from the HARD drive.

  • Not resettable 6210 USB device

    Hello

I am having some problems with a USB-6210, when I connect it to the target computer.  The following is installed:

    - NI DAQmx 8.9.5

    - NO MAX 4.6.0

I can run one or two tasks, until I get the following error:

ERROR-88708 occurred to the DAQ Assistant

When I try to reset the device, I get the following error:

ERROR-50405. A parameter of type pointer is not valid.

Then I need to unplug the USB and reconnect to operate again.

I plugged the USB-6210 to my laptop (which has different software versions installed), I don't have this problem.  Makes me think that the camera is ok.  Are there known with these versions of software and the USB-6210 bugs?

    See you soon

    Hi Glenn,.

Thanks for the reply.  I called support AND shortly after the announcement yesterday, and they suggested that it could be related to noise on the USB cable or a USB hub.  I tried another USB cable (the original cable was wired near other equipment potentially noisy), and another USB port (went to the back, rather than on the front), and the problem has not reappeared since.

  • Can not find the USB device on computer

I have a cell phone Samsung A680 I try to take pictures off. I connected the USB cord to the computer and it found and installed the drivers that I needed, but when I opened my computer, it doesn't appear there or on the lower right corner of the taskbar. Does anyone know how to find so I can remove the photos?
I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista. In addition, it recognizes that it is there because it makes the sound when I plug in the USB and get him out.

    Thank you

    Hello weinkermeyer,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

I have studied your phone, and Samsung, phone (A680) has no available connectivity options.
    http://www.Samsung.com/us/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/Sprint-phones/SPH-A680SSSXAR/index.idx?PAGETYPE=prd_detail&tab=spec

What I would try, if you want to keep the pictures is picturemail just send to your e-mail address. Of course, depending on your phone plan, you will have to pay a fee in order to send the picturemail. If for some reason you cannot send picturemail to an email address, simply send to a friend or a family member who has a phone capable of connecting and downloading the pictures.

  • Satellite L300-01:00 - Dynadock question after Connect USB cable

    Hello!

I am new to this forum and I am the proud owner of a Toshiba Satellite L300-01:00 I received with a Toshiba Dynadock as a gift.

The problem I have is with my PPPoE Internet connection. If I have the Internet cable in the Dynadock and then plug the USB cable into the laptop, I can connect to Internet but after that we will say 10-15 minutes there is a break in the connection and downloads, instant messaging services and other services stops for a moment.

For example if I download a file or play a game that I am disconnected and it is very unpleasant. I don't have this kind of problem, when I plug the Internet cable directly into the laptop.

If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

You did to be sure you have the latest drivers?
I would also like to do a BIOS update.

Take a look at the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

I think it could also be a problem with your internet provider.
You can test it with another computer or laptop.

  • USB Device not recognized Hp OfficeJet 6600

Hello all - I use my desktop Hp 6600 (connected via usb) jet and my computer (dell E6430 latitude) says that it is a usb device not recognized.  I tried a lot of troubleshooting, including the removal of usb controllers and reinstall, but which doesn't seem to work.  I'd like to help as soon as POSSIBLE. Again, I must keep my printer cable, because the network, I refuse the acess printers or something like that.

    Hello

If I understand correctly your computer does not detect the printer. You can try the following steps and check the results.

    1) inspect the cable USB and connection:- icon on the USB () facing up when the cable is connected to the product correctly. Check the back of your product and the back of your computer to make sure that the USB cable connects correctly and safely.

After that you make sure that the USB cable connects correctly and safely, consider the following guidelines to check other potential problems associated with USB:

    • Connect any other USB device. Connect any other USB device to the computer and check if it is detected.
    • USB ports on the keyboard. USB ports on the keyboard and on the front of some computers is maybe not powerful enough to support the product. If the USB cable connects to the USB port on the keyboard, try to connect to it in another USB port on the computer.
    • Length of the cable USB. HP recommends that the lower USB cables or equal to 5 m (16 ft 5 in) long. However, a USB cable which is 5 m (16 ft 5 in) in length must be of high quality. Otherwise, HP recommends using a USB cable that is less than 2 m (3 ft 3 in). Do not use connection cables to increase the length of the cable. Use a powered USB hub, if you need more length.
    • USB ports replacing. Connect the USB cable to a different port on the computer to make sure that the USB port on the computer is not the cause of the problem.
    • Defective USB cable. Replace the USB cable to ensure that the existing cable is not defective.
    • Conflicting USB ports. Disconnect all other USB, USB, USB cameras scanners printers and all other connected USB devices. Start the connection of these devices one at a time to determine if the devices to use too much power. Plan to buy and install a hub USB powered if necessary.

    (2) power Off and power of the device.

  • Device USB error: USB device not recognized

For a week to 10 days I could not connect my USB drive to the USB port. Also my keyboard and mouse stopped working because I was using a USB hub. It must have been a few Windows Vista update recently which caused this problem with USB devices. It does not recognize the USB devices. I can use the USB device on my laptop mini where I have Windows 7.

Microsoft is going to solve the problem in Windows Vista. There should be no reason that we cannot use USB devices and before 10 days ago, it was not a problem.
