In safe mode, my keyboard and mouse are inactive. Vista Prem

Hi cph508,

I assume that devices work correctly in normal mode

(a) if it works in safe mode before? Remember to make changes to the computer before that happened?

(b) use which type of keyboard and mouse? Who is the manufacturer of the devices?

You can check with another (USB-universal serial bus) keyboard and mouse

Thank you, and in what concerns:

Everything is OK, when they are not connected, and they work fine when they are connected after boot.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Hello

I don't think there is a way to solve this problem. Also, I assume it is the related issue of the BIOS. Is perhaps the time to be up-to-date and use new and compatible equipment. ;)

  • Why my keyboard and mouse are dead at the start of Windows 7 Home Premium?

They partially dead through boot but usuallycome back on except when first starting the morning.  After using the power button / stop and wait a few minutes, they come back OK on the next boot.  Work due to certain programs at startup?

Your device drivers are up to date? Check the website of your PC or your mother maufacture support.

If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.

Find the website of your computer manufacturer support.

  • PS2 Keyboard and mouse hooked after XP SP3 installed

Upgrade to SP3.  Keyboard works very well to get into the BIOS.  F8 works very well to get to choose the Safe Mode, and al. or not.  Once XP takes control, the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive.  Mouse move the pointer on the screen, the keyboard will not activate numlock or other keys LED.  Power - off only option.  Tried other keyboards and other mouse.  No go.

Any ideas?  Perfect condition ' puter til SP3!

I said nothing about "of special drivers', I suggested seeking & install the updated drivers. If none is available, there is a very good chance that your older equipment of keyboard and mouse is not supported in WinXP SP3.

Free installation and unlimited compatibility support for WinXP SP3 is available since April 14, 2008 to May 2009. This support will cost U.S.$ 59 or by higher incident now.

  • Delays in the keyboard and mouse

As I ran my Windows 7 update on 11/10/12, my keyboard and mouse are delayed intermittently.  This happens in gmail, hotmail and other web applications.  It doesn't seem to be a problem in word or excel or other programs Ms.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 16.  When I type and letters to catch up later, they are not accurate. Any suggestions?  My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5820 T.  Thank you.

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and start safe mode.  Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan mode without failure.  To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode.  Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem.  To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore.  Click on the box that says show more restore points.
    -
You can check the corrupted system files.  Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE, then click on run as administrator. Then from the command prompt, type sfc/scannow.
    -
Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log.  To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools.  Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.
    `
When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and it puts regular periodic updates.

  • wired keyboard and mouse not recognized after sleep

TL; DR after waking from sleep, the wired Mac keyboard and mouse are unresponsive.

I have a new Mac Mini.

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, 16 gb Core i7.

I had a keyboard and a compatible bluetooth mouse, but I had the problem that after the Mini for sleep, the keyboard and the mouse were not detected.

I bought an Apple mouse wired and wired keyboard.

I have the same problem.  If I SLEEP the Mini, when I wake up it (short press on power) or the keyboard or the mouse are recognized.  It's like I have no connected.  If I disconnect it from the usb and the re - attach they are not always recognized.  I have to press power to force power off and restart and then my keyboard and mouse are recognized.

Sometimes when pressing the power button to wake up from her sleep, I also get a "flickering" image monitor, which improves if I turn on and off to sleep a few times, or restart.

It is very annoying, any ideas?

Try turning off blue tooth - it seems to me the pop up screen searching for the mouse Bluetooth turn on the lock.

  • Question Z820 keyboard and mouse

When the powers of the workstation on the keyboard and the mouse are not recognized. I can't enter the bios or Setup screens and then that windows 7 boots again, the keyboard and mouse are not yet available. If they are moved to the 3 USB ports, so I can use them in windows, but not in the bios configuration.

Edited: I have also reset the CMOS by jumper and button using the PS/2 keyboard access. It seems that all USB 2.0 ports no longer work (front or rear). When I plug a mouse in the red laser flashes once, but that's all, nothing after that.

The motherboard seems to be defective. Please call HP support.

  • wireless keyboard and mouse with Insignia bluetooth adapter

I have a Pavilion 23-h024 all-in-one with Windows 8.1 and trying to pair my keyboard mouse to a 4.0 Insignia bluetooth adapter and wireless. When I go to the settings of the PC and click on Bluetooth he searches for devices but does not stop and never find all of the devices. Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? The adapter of the Insignia would not be a updated driver for 8.1?

Nope. The dongle and the associated keyboard and mouse are coded to work together as a set.

It's time to pick up a bluetooth or wireless Clavier\souris combo set.

You will be probably better to choose a wireless set.  Check out the review sites.

  • New Wireless Desktop 800 with no transceiver - what can I do with the keyboard and mouse?

I have a MS Wireless desktop 800. After a week, I broke the mini transceiver and bought a new game. Since the first set keyboard and mouse are matched at the factory and cannot be re-synched, I find myself with essentially a new keyboard and mouse that I can't use. I wouldn't throw out - they are brand new. Is this WHAT can I do with them?

    Hello

There is no suggestion that we can do to solve this problem.

It's specific hardware of matching which can only be solved through software.

    Hi wsawsd_han,

I'm fairly certain that the keyboard and mouse are bluetooth with a built-in receiver. Have you tried them yet?

  • HP SlimDesktop 450-a114: keyboard and mouse only work in safe mode

When that I starts normally, the keyboard and the mouse do not work and I can not connect.

If I boot in safe mode, the mouse and keyboard and I can open a session.

In safe mode, when I go into Device Manager, the device of keyboards is "HID Keyboard Device" and the mouse device is "mouse HID-compliant".  What should I do?

    Thank you

    Mike

If it works in Mode safe is probably a driver issue because Safe Mode doesn't load any third-party drivers.

I suggest that you go into Device Manager"and uninstall the keyboard and the mouse. To restart Windows will detect the keyboard and mouse and reinstall the drivers, I hope as fixing the problem.

    * You didn't say what version of Windows you use, so I could not be more specific on how to access the Device Manager.
