Incompatibility of speed/duplex on Tandberg EX90

Hello

Hope you are doing well, I'm here today because I have a problem with our Tandberg based @ Zurich Switzerland.

When we connect to the web interface, we have a troubleshooting message: "speed/duplex of Missmatch.

I did the network speed auto, but it changes anything.

Could you please help me?

Often the duplex mode is auto-négocié between the two pieces of equipment; However, auto-negotiation works only if both devices are set to 'Auto '. If a device is set to 'Auto' and the other has other settings, the device of auto adapts as 100/half. The most common cause of problems of incompatibility is the scenario where a device is set to 100/full and the other is set to Auto.

  • Check the configuration of the network switch where your TANDBERG end point is connected.
  • Change the settings of the device so that the devices at each end of a cable have to be the same speed/duplex (1000/Full, 100/Full, 100/half, 10/Full, 10/half) parameters or are both set to Auto.

Kind regards

Acevirgil

  • Speed / duplex settings on 4400g

Is it possible to adjust the speed / duplex settings for the NETWORK adapter on 4400g DMP? I am aware that the gigabit interfaces have no duplex settings but if the device is connected to a switch 100 device adjustable 100/Full?

I see not all parameters, nor I see no output from the MIB indicating the current settings. If it cannot be set is it supposed to be set to auto/auto?

    Hi Ryan,

Your assuption is correct. Speed/duplex are set to auto/auto on the DMP. This is not configurable by the user.

  • Second display Tandberg EX90

Hello, I had a question about the Tandberg EX90, I am trying to connect to a projector in the HDMI Out of the Tandberg, but it's not give signal to the projector, right now, that is - this installer is that the HDMI output:

xConfiguration video output HDMI 1 resolution: 1920_1080_60

xConfiguration video output HDMI 1 OverscanLevel: Medium

xConfiguration video output HDMI 1 EAC Mode: Off

xConfiguration video output HDMI 1 MonitorRole: second

It's not giving a signal in the projector via the HDMI Out, I checked the Option keys and it isn't a dual display Option key:

    * s SystemUnit software OptionKeys DualDisplay: "false."

I need a key option for a second screen to work? It's making to work as a single monitor, which means having the same video on two screens, one of the EX90 and projector.

    Kind regards.

Yes, you will need option double screen (reference number: LIC-EX90-DD).

  • VMnet1 and VMnet 8 - speed Duplex

OK, I'm just a boy ESX/vSphere normally, but I am tinkering with my computer.

So, you know how in the network, there is 'Host-Only' connected/appointed as VMnet1 and 'NAT' is connected/named VMnet8?

AND, they appear as a NETWORK interface card in Windows?

My question is, how can you change the speed/duplex of 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps?

100 mb/s seems rather slow and archaic.

It is a simple matter of aesthetic. Your PC communicates with your VM as soon he'll let her. Technically, you could say that there is a link to 10 GB.

  • limit bandwidth telepresence Tandberg ex90

    Hello

    I have 5 ex90s.

    Location1 (L1): 2

    Location2 (L2): 1

    Location3 (L3): 1

    Location4 (L4): 1

When ex90 in place call each other, then they can use all the bandwidth as they wish.

    When a place ex90 calls ex90 in another place, they can use only 1.5 M b & w.

    How to implement?

    Help, please!

    Hello!

I wouldn't be that concerned by the individual links and tips. They will be automatically created for you when you make the subzones. You can get what you want in your simple deployment with just the configuration of the subzone. The unlimited bandwidth in a subarea and limit calls out of it to all the other subfields or areas.

    1: create 4 sub-zones on your VCS.

VCS configuration > Local area > subzones.

2: for each sub-area, create a membership rule.

I guess that the TYPE can be subnet. So as a membership rule, add the subnet for the site corresponding to this subarea.

VCS configuration > Local area > subzone of the membership rules.

    Subnet address and prefix length

These two fields determine the range set

of IP addresses that belong to this subarea.

(Applies only if the Type is subnet.)

Address field shows the range of

Addresses IP to assign to this subarea

based on the combination of the subnet

    address and prefix length.

If you have a network at the site THAT has a network 10.1.1.0 as a C-net IP address, membership rule should be:

    Subnet address: 10.1.1.0

    Prefix length 24

If you have a network to the TWO site that has an address of IP 10.1.2.0 as a C-net network, membership rule should be:

    Subnet address: 10.1.2.0

    Prefix length 24

    and so on...

3: set up the limits of subzones for your four subzones

As you can see, there is no need to set up the individual links and pipes, unless you want to do more advanced boundaries between your locations.

  • GLC - T in C3KX-NM - 10G, duplex full does not

I C3750X with C3KX-NM - 10G and have T SFP in the Groove 3 (means it is not in the SFP + slot).

I need the value of speed & duplex hard 100/Full, but if I do the link goes down. I have the same settings on the other side, only the IOS version is different.

I tried other speeds - 10 and 1000, but no one works with full. When I change to Auto duplex, it works fine.

The reason why I am doing this on C3KX-NM - 10 G is because I need to use NetFlow and cannot use the copper port chassis. Currently, the ports are connected by a copper cable, but full production there will be a radio link between that requires 100 M/Full to set hard.

I am looking for all the documents that describe this limitation, but can not find. Also the capacity of the port indicate duplex not could not be set to full:

    display interfaces g1/1/3 functions

    GigabitEthernet1/1/3

    ToS rewrite: Yes

    UNI-DIRECTIONAL: Yes

    Food online: no

    Any help is appreciated.

Looks to me that you do not have the right cable and auto mdix corrects for it. Auto mdix 'only' works as auto/auto and it will pick up the ports or auto. You would need a crossover cable if you want to hardcode the ports.

  • Network Configuration operator: link to change speed

    Hello

in my area of the company, we use laptops Windows 7 Professional with limited user rights. Some of our technicians need to change IP addresses to connect to devices of management, that's why we added them for the group 'Network Configuration operators. Some devices accept only connections with a certain speed (link speed & Duplex is set to "AutoDetect" as default), so the speed must also be defined by the technicians themselves.

The problem is that for the 'Network Configuration Operators' group, the "Advanced" in "Network connection properties" tab is not visible. Is it possible to see the Advanced tab (or change the speed of connection & duplex) without administrative rights?

    Thank you

  • Of packet losses causing ISDN link

    Hi all

I have a little more trouble with the ISDN link. Everything works perfectly now, I can make calls to 384 k ISDN.

    The problem now is that packet losses arises (not much,<1% total)="" when="" connected="" through="" the="" link="" into="" a="" lan.="" to="" clarify,="" the="" sx20="" needs="" to="" function="" over="" both="" isdn="" and="" ip="" (it's="" replaced="" an="" old="" tandberg="" edge).="" in="" lan="" calls,="" if="" i="" bypass="" the="" link="" completely="" and="" plug="" straight="" into="" the="" wall="" tap,="" the="" packet="" loss="" is="" at="" 0.0%.="" put="" it="" back="" in,="" packet="" loss="" is="" back="" up="" again.="" this="" is="" without="" changing="" any="" settings="" on="" either="">

Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm just trying to use the ISDN link in which it is never intended?

You do no way, it was not designed to be is supposed to work this way, allowing you to make IP or ISDN calls. We have ours up and running in this way and it works well.

One thing to check would be the network cables that you are using - good markets and bad cables can often cause problems when using a quality cable can solve the problem.

Check your switch configuration to make sure that you are not forcing a setting the speed/duplex, which then is not being properly negotiated by the equipment then plug (or make sure that force you the settings the entire path if you need to do).

  • Satellite M100-165: connection to the LAN operarte correctly

I have a Satellite M100-165 for about 2 years with the original Setup (win XP etc) and I make all updates.
The problem is that the connection to the local network is working properly from the beginning.

I can connect only if I set the NIC property "link speed & Duplex = 10 Mbps Full Duplex", but on some LANs operate at all.
    I appreciate any response.

    Thank you

I'm a bit confused now. What you mean with connection to the LAN working correctly from the beginning? What is started for you?
I can't believe that you declare on that now, two years later. Have you already tried to install recovery image and test it with the factory settings?

  • Configuration of the R8000 lan ports

You can change the port speed/duplex of the Lan ports. I have a mismatch in duplex on a lan port?

No they are auto-sensing. It is with your ISP, or another device?

  • Green stripes Glitch IMAQdx

    Hello

When I acquire image (from camera gc-14gm/acA2500 of the Basler via ethernet) using IMAQdx, I get a picture with horizontal green banding glitches. Did someone already experienced this problem?

It seems that the problem was in the ethernet card driver settings. I changed advanced settings in the properties of the network, called "speed & duplex" driver autonegotiation to bps fixed and the problem disappeared (I think he disappeared).

  • NLB - the RPC server is not available on the specified computer. To connect to the < Server >

Have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 NLB service two nodes on VMWare. Bothe nodes have two network cards. Internal one dedicated to NETWORK load balancing and the other for the network.

Management console of NLB on a single poster NLB node is in good health. The two nodes are visible and OK.

Management of NLB on the other node shows only its own node - while the other node is missing. An error when updating...
"The RPC server is not available on the specified computer. "otherNode.com" connection error"

I disabled the back loop check - it makes no difference.

    Any help please?

I think I solved the problem...

As I wrote previously, I disabled the back loop check in the registry on both nodes, create a new DWORD (32 bit) key...
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\DisableLoopbackCheck - with a value of 1

Then, I made sure that the link speed & Duplex on all network interfaces are set to a specific value (no Autonegotiation), for example. 1000 Mbps Full Duplex (in my case).
Ideally only the NIC - on each node - connected to the NETWORK load balancing must be configured with hard values.

This solved the RPC error in my environment of NLB.

Hope this helps those who have the same symptoms.

    Samuel.

  • How can I fix the State of the media - media disconnected?

I have a laptop that is running Windows XP, and I'm having problems connecting to the Internet and my router. I have another laptop running Windows 7, which connects well, including mobile phones and game consoles that can still connect to the router. I type in "ipconfig" in the command prompt and the message media disconnected rises. The same message appears in Windows 7 but the laptop connects to the router and the Internet fine.

I tried to update, deactivation and activation of the network card, uninstall the network adapter and then put it back, and I don't always get no Internet connection.
You have ideas or suggests this can solve my problem?

Have you tried to reset the link speed / Duplex mode on 10 Mbit/s/full duplex? I got the same error for months while he was trying to resurrect my pc and could not figure out until I read somewhere that most of the older NIC is only supported this setting one sometimes will not work if the parameter is 'auto negotiation'.

Click Start, right-click on 'my computer' and select Properties. Click on the "hardware" tab and select "Device Manager". Click on the sign '+' next to maps network to expand and right-click the NETWORK adapter, select a property in the Advanced tab, scroll down to link speed/duplex mode, click it. Set the value in the box on the right side of the page, click on OK, to see if it solved your problem.

    It will be useful.
