• Downloaded 11 Photoshop on Mac - impossible to open, can I uninstall/reinstall - Help!

  About 6 months ago, I downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements.  I think that I messed up early maybe, I recorded something in the wrong place.  I tried to make a shortcut on my desktop, but it did not somehow, so I was going through the Organizer to open the edit, because whenever I click on the shortcut I get this error message: "among application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application.

  Today, I was fiddling around with things on my computer and tried to make a shortcut again find the "Adobe" file in the Finder and drag it to the desktop.  That didn't work... He disappeared from the Finder and I can't open the Edit from the Organizer-Needless to say that the shortcut that I tried to do didn't work.  I get the same error message.  So, I'm sure I know the answer to that, but I'd like some opinions.  Should I completely uninstall and reinstall?  I can because I downloaded it on the site?

  It seems that the installation was not correct. Please uninstall the existing version, re-download the software and reinstall.

  I worked on a catalog for awhile now, my indesign file was getting to about 300 MB - I had saved this file on an external hard drive that has melted and died recently, especially I can't open the master file on my PC, which is the only file that I have now. I open the file in indesign, and I noticed on PC, it will just freeze and show a loading ring where the mouse needs to be but I left it going for 5 hours and nothing, I manually stop in indesign, then open and then try to recover this file, it is also blocked at some point. On a Mac, there is a progress at least bar but it becomes around 80% and then crashes every time. I guessing these corrupt files somehow, or that a small part of it is prevents me from opening correctly. It is a project that is expected to soon and I literally don't have any work to show: S I tried repair of Stellar Phoenix indesign who just turn to 4 hours doing nothing but make my mac get really hot and am now totally off options, can all help me?

  InDesign is crushed when importing an image, but now I can not get to launch at all (not trying to open a file, just launch InDesign).

  I found the info on the recovery of files, but nothing recent on how to reset InDesign - any pointers in the right diorection would be much appreciated.

• InDesign won't open the file - says I'm not connected to Adobe c. cloud, but I am!

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  When I try to open the file, it tells me that I am not connected to creative cloud - which I am certainly.  And he tells me that I have to go to 'help' and then log in and restart adobe indesign.

  I am already connected to cloud creative adobe however.

  I did this several times - completely signed off, restart the computer, signature creative cloud etc,... no solution.

  Source files can be "locked" or open only by their original creator of Adobe ID?  I was sent these files by a good designer.  He did block them by chance?

  I don't even know if this is possible.  It is now a month of adventure in the jungle for long.

  Please help - I don't want to spend more hours trying to get these open files.

• My indesign won't open 3 missing links

  I was open a file that was created before and there were a few missing links, about 16. I tried to recreate a link to them and it worked without any problems, except for the 3 files.

  When I try to recreate a link to these files (they are jpg and 1 pdf file) Indesign gives me the following error:

  Either the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application.

  
  

  
  I checked and it is not open somewhere else, the file exist and I checked the permission which seemed correct settings...

  Also tried to re-record the files under a different name, placed on my desk, made a copy. nothing has worked.

  You can open images in an external editor?

  If they are jpeg or png or gif - save as tiff

  If they are tiff - save as psd

  If they are psd - save as tiff

  Or another file format let us know.

  Try to place the newly stored images then.

  Seems you settings mac is blocking.

  Go to System Preferences > Security and privacy > General > choose "Anywhere" under allow downloaded applications from.

  And then, run the Setup program.

  That's the strange thing, FF has been installed and configured as the default Internet browser. Later, I downloaded Chrome and had the same problem. The solution I found was to restore my system to an earlier date, I think maybe a virus, who knows... But I got it working now!

  I guess that you have improved your 7 to 10 of Windows Workflow, but now you want to reinstall Windows 8.1, correct?

  If you went to go back beyond the 30 day trial period, you can use the image USB, you must have created 8.1 Windows before installing Windows 10.

  You can not install ordinary Windows 8.1 copy unless you buy a new key.

  I'm on a MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemite.  Computer has been completely cleaned, stored, updated, no problem other than my Adobe CS5 software will not work.  Photoshop, if I'm lucky that it will download, but a few minutes of the crash using.  InDesign won't open at all.  Illustrator, does not open.  Flash, none open - help from Adobe will not update because it says a file is corrupted etc etc etc etc.  I have my original disks with serial numbers to reinstall the software.  All I want to know is how to properly uninstall all the software on my computer and reinstall on the same computer without using my second activation code.  I can't seem to find clear, concise, simple instructions for this process.  "Disable" something before I have uninstall?  Where should I go for it?  What should I do once I have disabled everything I'm supposed to deactivate and uninstall the software, then reinstall?  I must return to some site to reactivate whatever it is I'm reactive?  I don't want to use my second activation code.  That's all.  Why customer comes from say the quick simple solution by phone beggars belief.  Yes.  I am quite aware that it is old software.  But it's your Adobe software.  Support me.  Because when you do not have, I have to post negative passive-aggressive messages like that on a forum online so that everyone can see.  I'm sure that you have all of the embarrassment of opportunity as you read this.  But I just want to assure that I do what I'm supposed to do without screwing anything other than it already is.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  Uninstall using the own uninstaller from adobe by the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems, restart your computer and reinstall.

  So I uninstalled Lightroom desktop CC application. He asked me if I wanted to remove preferences, and I said yes.

  I have re-installed Lightroom and exhibit the same problem.

  Research on here, I found a reference to make sure that/Library/Adobe and ~/Library/Adobe are writable. I think that it was a typo: this file does not exist, but/Library/Application Support / Adobe and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe exist and are writable.

  Any ideas?

  • Open a Terminal.
  • Copy and paste this command: sudo chmod-r 777 library/Application\ Support / Adobe
  • Press enter and give your password if requested.
  • This should fix the permissions at the origin of this error.
  • Let us know how it worked and mark the correct answer if it did.

  I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 premium (purchased on disk a few years ago) and then I bought inDesign CS5 (not creative cloud, just by download). I have also used an app (Adobe After Effects) using creative cloud but have no accession of the present, I was doing this on a monthly basis.

Please try to restart... "I used the cleaner of the Creative Suite from Adobe tool, it seemed to work but don't give me a success message. I also tried to use the cleanup of the CS5 Mac utility. I uninstalled my Adobe Creative Suite 5 to see if that would help. There can be no. I restarted my computer. The problem persists.
