• Jabber comments does not work with Expressway 8.7.2

  the last Highway requires Diffie-Hellman keys at least 1024 bits in size.

  Unfortunately comments Jabber always uses 768bits as the 'server Temp key' on tomcat. This is why you cannot use Jabber comments (any version; I tried 10.6.9 and 10.6.10) with Expressway 8.7.2.

  I also checked the Tomcat settings and there is the appropriate setting in/opt/cisco/jabber/conf/mss-sip-stack-properties (which, I guess that's the relevant file):

  Unfortunately, this does not work, or at least the results are not as expected.

  Expressway present "key too small dh" in the log file and the 'TLS negotiation failure' when checking the status of the area.

  It works perfectly with Expressway 8.6.1 (have not tried far 8.7.1).

  Log files / dumps / snapshots are available on request, but I think the problem is pretty clear and I hope that it will be easy to solve.

  It's really weird, the first official Jabber client version is 10.0, I check the version of java on Jabber client 10.0, the version is "1.7.0_55".

  Where do you find the original installation image? -What have you never install any external rpm on the comment Jabber server?

  Hi Martin,

  From Jabber comments 10.0, only #3 above is supported. However, we will publish JG 10.5 soon (I hope that in the next few months), and it will support all 3 of your above use cases. The only downside is to use #1 and #2 cases, you have a CUCM in the call flow.

  • Can I use the same highway C/E for ARM and jabber comments or should I deploy an another cluster of Highway?

  The highway does not support the MRA and Jabberguest on the same server/cluster. Therefore, you will need to deploy an another cluster of highway...

• Jabberguest delay compensation appeal

  Hi all

  I am currently using Jabberguest 10.6.8.11.  I discovered a problem with the dial from mobile devices, endpoints.  If the application is closed without hanging up the call, or if there is a loss of network on the mobile device, then the call clears out.  If the user reloads the app or retrieves the network connectivity and calls once again, the system will always be in a call to the original session.

  Does anyone know of a way to reduce the time-out of the call session when no traffic is received or not end the call when the server loses the connection to the client remote etc?  I have reduced the VCS SIP session refresh interval, but it is still 90 seconds before the call is disabled.

  Limited to occur. Wouldn't make sense to keep assets woth then drop them other Jabber Video products (Jabber Video telepresence) and Jabber video for iPad in favor of CUCM Jabber or Jabber comments.

  I am little bit confused what is the difference between the Expressway series and legacy VCS-C/E.

  If I deploy series Expressway (X8.6) running on the virtual machine as traversal server for ARM, can I use that as same as VCS - C and VCS - E, the installation program.

  By running the MRA, can I also used these local SIP/h.323 recording servers of the endpoints of SX and Jabber Video (Movi)? Can I need separate license to achieve?

  On the two highways are the licenses ordered. Are these already for what I want to achieve, or this is just for the deployment of the ARM?

  So I need instances of additional and separate VCS to support records the of the SIP/h.323 endpoints. And need additional licenses for the latter as Non-parcours/course would issue licenses, commissioning, FindMe.

  OK, that all of these are specific to the series of VCS, while the freeway series does not have the provisioning and FindMe, it also has a system of license different call where it is a type of single license unlike licenses non-parcours course you have with VCS.  The

  TMS I 'LIC-TMS-PE-25' to activate the user commissioning for Movi so I want to use.

  You must use the VCS-control/Highway if you want to use video telepresence Jabber (aka Movi).

  Series Expressway (centre/periphery) are therefore only for ARM with CUCM deployment?

  Yes, Expressway series was created to provide courses of firewall and external recording to CUCM via Mobile and remote access capability.  It can also provide comments of Jabber, but MRA and Jabber comments cannot be run on the same server.  On another note, the series of VCS can take all the series Expressway, because the latter is simply a subset of the functionality of VCS.

• Areas of virtual Highway

  From what I read it looks like you need to have 2 areas (c & e); This means that you will need servers to run away from the highway?  Or - is this possible with two virtual network card disable a server / instance of Highway?

  They are not two areas, they are two separate VMs, one is EXP - C and the other is EXP-E, you use the same installer as the VCS, depending on which license you install, you'll turn into one of the 4 options.

  And depending on what you do, you really need to buy the license for the double networking on the EXP-E

  I guess you can do ARM or Jabber comments, I suggest that you review the guides for one of them, that are available in the VCS documentation.

  With a cluster of Expressway all peers are active, and they share the load.  The exception being if you have a full 6 server cluster, where 4 out of the 6 will still be active, while the other 2 are hot Standby.

  I would like to have a clarification on the integration of commercials with the existing infrastructure of TP.

  We have A VCS - C 8.x, VCS-E 7.2.2 14.3 TMS with TMSPE.

  We need to have our video Jabber users using their accounts and authentication of the user accounts existing on AD. All the other codecs authentication will be local VCS - c.

  Where can I configure the integration of ads?  The TMS only? VCS - C only? or both?

  Any document that clearly explain this configuration?

  If you want to check the credentials on the control and Jabber clients video to send their requests for authentication to control VCS, where you have the setup of ADS, you must configure the default and traversal zones to check not the credentials on the highway.

  Regarding your comment on authentication to the highway, just to be clear, before the customer can actually create a record on the freeway, do you want to authenticate, meaning the subzone where they will register to check the credentials, if so, ADS a problem here.  As the video Jabber client will always use NTLM to send its credentials when ADS is used, the highway will be presented with the username/password user name field.  As the highway is not connected to the announcement of check these credentials, it will not allow recording.  Authentication of registration requests always happens on the local server, because that's where the record should be.

  I have a phone book-like 'Cisco Provisioning directory TMS' source. It is related to 1 particular user of TMS - PE directory.

  If I do not here consider the contacts, I see only 1 SIP contact jacquard Fineme address: [email protected] / * /. What is expected.

  Now, this phonebook source is connected to a telephone directory.

  If I do not here consider the contacts, I see 2 SIP contact. 1 jacquard Fineme address: [email protected] / * / and other devices address jacquard: [email protected] / * /.

  So, if users serach for a user on the phone book. They are presented with 2 phone book entries - confusing.

  Comment:

  This double entry shows that the research of usernames which are put into service. If get us a user name that has not been implemented in the recent past, we see only 1 entry for SIP.

  So, for any user that has been implemented in the past-, we see the Findme address and address of device in the directory.

  Is an expected behavior... ? No way to avoid it.

• Port SSL messages to jabber/gtalk does not stick

  Hi-

  It is not purely associated with Sierra, as happening on El Cap.  The port default to Google talk is 5223, which is blocked in my company.  I had previously configured messages to use 443, which is not blocked (and supports gtalk).  But at some point during the last couple months, gtalk stopped linking to work.  When I looked at it, she returned to 5223.  When I try to set it to 443 (disable the account, change the port, re - enable the account) everything looks good, but at the time when I try to connect, it turns to 5223.  I tried to delete the account completely re - create, both as a right has Jabber (port 443 from the beginning of setting) or as a gmail e-mail account and then change the port later.  Nothing does.

  Thinking perhaps it was corrupted prefs, I deleted all the * prefs to iChat and everything that seemed related to google or jabber.  No change in behavior.

  Anyone seen this before?  Help to solve if possible of love.

  Currently I use port 5222 and without SSL and my account settings Google is for applications that are less secure.

  I can't use 5223 or even443 with SSL on.

  When I put to bed for the alarms of the week, AOS alarms work correctly. However, I noticed that even if I had a scheduled Monday alarm AM, I don't have an alert Sunday night. Sunset alerts have to be compensated forward, not back.

  Using AirPort Utility, as follows:

  • Select your AirPort base station and then, select change.
  • Select the wireless tab.
  • To disable the Guest network, uncheck the 'Enable the Network'.
  • If you want to continue using this network, you can change the network name and password on this same tab.
